- Benefits:
Isolating the lid and intercooler brick from the very hot blower
Colder intake temps
Lid itself will get much colder and help reduce intake temps
Increased plenum volume
Increased recovery rate of intake temps
More even air flow to the rear cylinders which the stock lid restricts airflow.
No Silastic required at all for fitment
Intercooler brick is not covered in Silastic to seal up against the provided spacer plate, that the competitor kits require you to do.
hey mate, is a retune required after installing the top and bottom spacers
a tune is not required :)
U have a link to order this kit
is there torque bolt settings when bolting the lid back on?
No, just pattern is important.
If a LSA engine has a ZL1 blower lid on it, do you have spacer for this set up? It's a 2012 CTSV 6.2 with ZL1 milled lid.
The spacer suits the LSA blower, the lid doesn't matter if it is ZL1 or CTSV it will fit both of them
@@ForcedInductionInterchillers What's the cost to ship to USA NY 11364?
@@dasteufelhund you can purchase right here: fiinterchillers.com/shop/ (all prices are in AUD (paypal will show you the USD amount when you hit paypal). Shipping is 5-7 via UPS.
What are you doing for the reinstall as it relates to filling the coolant? Top it off or fully flush?
top it back off
@@ForcedInductionInterchillers thank you. I have completed the install. I do notice a new rotating sound. It sounds like it is in the firewall. No further than the actual lid. Certainly can hear the supercharger more. I have not gone full wot until I can confirm the system is air free. It has some relearning to do. Otherwise very pleased.
@@heathersauceda2089 the factory LSA intercooler fluid system can be difficult to bleed air from, this is why we add a reservoir so it places head pressure on the intercooler pump and self bleeds.
In any case the best method (takes 45min) is to place a funnel in the top fill port whilst the car is running make sure it is topped off, then rip the funnel out and jam the bung plug back in as fast as possible whilst still running.
Or just get a reservoir and never have to worry about bleeding the system as they self bleed.
Does the lid spacer kit come with longer bolts?
yes it does
Will this fit under the hood of the ctsv. I know when guys switch to the zl1 lid they have to shave the top of the lid for it to fit
check your car for clearance the LSA Lid Spacer will raise the lid up by 10mm (0.39")
