    Rear cover might get anaerobic sealant. Allows thinner layer of sealant for machined surfaces like that. Also eliminates the need for traditional thicker gaskets.

    Hey man new subscriber here. I have a 87 Trans Am with a 305 all original with only 80,000 miles on it, I've had it for 12 years. It's obviously lacking power with that tiny motor in it and your videos have really inspired me to get started on my swap! I've got my eye on a 6.0 iron block. Keep up the awesome content!

      Thanks! Good choice with the 6.0. I would love to get to upgrade to one as well someday.

    Anaerobic sealant just like in a transmission, drys in the absence of air. For machined surfaces!

    Awesome build. I've been wanting to do this for along time so I'm interested in this build for sure. I hope some time it will be possible for me to get one of these and do the same.

    Thanks for really opening my options. I'm currently looking in to salvaged fifth gens. I think this engine would make a great option for it.

    So is the 2.4 a good choice for a mostly stock engine? I put headers and 3" pipes on and lost a few PSI pressure so i want to put it back to stock, maybe a little more but want to stay away from fuel modifications. I am looking for the right number to get a good boost without running too lean.

    Hey Matt, I’m in the middle of LSX swapping my 85 WS6 and I’m too the point where I’m deciding on powder coating my stock K Member or swapping a BMR Unit, which would you recommend if you did it all over again?

    Does your pulley have a Set screw to the blower shaft? To keep it from turning on shaft

    That green coupler is making rattling noise already on mine. I was told to replace it with LPE one.

    Hey Matt, new subscriber...looking at doing an LS swap in a 92 Camaro, what LS engines will fit in the third gen? You mentioned you wanted to do a ls3.
    Looking for some good reference sites.

    • @charleshenson4183
      @charleshenson4183 4 года назад

      They'll all fit.
      The LS family of engines is like the pontiac family of engines in that they're all dimensionally the same size.

      Haha sorry I read your question wrong before. I paid 2500 for it. It came with a brand new lid, lsa fuel rail, new gaskets, and all the hardware. I bought it used off ebay, listed as a low mile warranty take off.

    Coming from a tool and die guy, Never ever use a buff pad with a die grinder like that on a sealing surface!

      I've worked in shops for 20 years and all the mechanics use pneumatic tools and roloc pads for gasket removal, but they're on steel or iron for the most part. Aluminum is too soft.
