Hey boss, recently at Cars and coffee this gentleman came up to me and my car and noted he heard a ticking/clunking sound coming from my “lower” do you think he was referring to my supercharger? Specifically that defect you mentioned at the beginning. I have a 2012 CTSV and apparently there’s an extended warranty that my car qualifies for if this is the issue. How do I determine for sure before taking It to the dealer for diag to know for sure that’s the issues before I spend the money on the diag. Your help would be much appreciated!

You ever seen a blower shaft seize? Do upgraded bearings for the snout exist?

We personally have not seen a shaft seize up. There are a lot of manufacturers out there. We suggest sticking with the OE Eaton bearings. Those fit and function the best from our experience.

    Did you replace the shaft?

In this case we did not have to replace the shaft as it was barely scored.
