Looking forward to the "Best Budget.." video sounds interesting. Should probably make it an annual thing. On another note, I have another set of headphones I keep seeing ads with RUclipsrs in it, in fact I get it before this video. The headphones are called the "PaMu Earphone" They look like another drop ship style iPod knockoff. I'm not that excited to see something about them because at this point I just roll my eyes when I see the adverts for things like this. But if I keep seeing the ad/promotions. I'll probably ping you again. Thanks!
I like them. A friend of mine is looking into getting Bluetooth headphones but doesn't want spend a lot on his first purchase, so whilst these seem like a good choice, I'll wait for your comparison video As for open vs closed design, open is more comfortable and allows them to be cheaper, but no passive noise cancellation and fall out easier. With cheaper in ear designs, it can be super uncomfortable especially for me as i jave sensitive skin. But I've found that the wing tips in the galaxy buds lower the pressure in my ear canals, making hem super comfortable for long periods of wear of about 8 hours straight
Exactly!! I bought the earbuds ones and I think they muffle too much the environment sound. Which isn't the best for me. I like to ear the music but still be mindful of my surroundings.
@@davidcoelho9891 I bought the awei t21 which is an half in ear open design like the airpods. The only thing I didn't know is that the awei t21 used dynamic drivers and I was pleasantly surprised to see how bassy these earbuds were despite the lack of silicone eartips. They're cheap but the sound quality is damn premium and loud as well
I love everything xiaomi! I have their true wireless earphones for a couple years now, I believe it’s a different version as they look slightly different from yours, mine has the silica which I like, and I LOVE the noise canceling, it works so well! I also have a lot of other xiaomi product: juicer, wireless speaker(tiny tiny you can bring with you anywhere like camping), kettle, liquid soap holder, steamer, electronic tooth brush, fan, chargers, etc.... I can’t name all of my xiaomi products! They are really economical and fairly good quality.

Hey Mike, great review of some decent budget headphones. I can't use the non-fitted headphones my hearing needs them to be sealed in. Also, I'm not a big fan of the iPod style. It just looks too odd to me. I understand the design though, that stick hanging out of your ear is a great place to put a microphone so that your voice can be picked up well. HOwever they screwed up, or just didn't want to do the work, with these. There is no filtering on the audio that was pulled in through the voice mic. Your sample ... in a studio ... had a TON of static in the background. Your voice sounded fine and the tones, highs and lows, were all there but there's no excuse for the amount of background noise. Road noise from outside also seemed too loud. They just needed to have done some basic work on filtering.
The mics definitely have room for improvement. I didn't go too hard on them since they are just $40 though, but yeah since they are using this shape, the mics should ideally have an advantage
I appreciate your thorough reviews especially the mic test with the background noise. I don't know what your criteria are for choosing products but I hope the 'MI True Wireless Earphones 2' will be on your list :) Besides, there are models like 'oppo enco free, 'mpow x3' and 'liberty Air 2' which are usually intoduced as airpod alternatives. Maybe the products should be divided in two categories, airpod alternatives and airpod pro alternatives because of the design.
few months back i misplace my mi earbuds, and found it in my jogger pants pocket after washing it in washing machine for 45mins. note: just the earbuds without the casing. and still it working perfectly till today, thx god

@@damjanbozovic5430 yes!! love it since my ears dont hurt anymore.. but tbh mi airdots 2 has this kinda a fuller volume.. probably because it has noise cancelling.. but air 2 se still good.. you should get one if you cant get used to silicon tip
