Tesla's 'Redwood' Compact Crossover. Unveiling the Specs, 9 never-before-seen Features... Full
Ready to see electric vehicles revolutionize the roads? Buckle up, because Tesla's got two exciting projects in the pipeline: the Model 2 and the "Redwood". In this video, we'll dive deep into their features, potential impact, and what they mean for the future of driving.
Tesla Model 2: Affordable Tesla for Everyone?
Price Point King: Starting at just $25,000, the Model 2 aims to be the most affordable Tesla yet, taking on gasoline and budget EVs alike.
Mass Production Powerhouse: Tesla's targeting a whopping 4 million units annually, with Gigafactories in Texas, Berlin, and Shanghai humming at full speed.
Innovative Manufacturing: Get ready for body gigacasting and advanced tech, promising revolutionary efficiency and affordability.
Performance Balancing Act: Expect a sporty feel with instant torque, but acceleration might not match pricier Teslas. Range should hit 250-300 miles, perfect for daily commutes.
Feature Frenzy: Rumors hint at a 48-volt system enabling steer-by-wire, reducing weight and enhancing safety.
Tesla's "Redwood": Inspired by a Honda, Powered by Innovation
Civic Inspiration: Tesla's studying the Honda Civic for its fuel efficiency and performance, aiming to translate them into electric excellence.
Design & Features Focus: Think modern design, user-friendly features, and advanced tech inspired by the Civic, creating a seamless user experience.
Affordability Champion: With a $25,000 price tag, the Redwood targets both gasoline and electric competitors, pushing for sustainable transportation for all.
Tech Trailblazer: Expect cutting-edge production techniques, a 48-volt system, and next-gen autonomous driving, solidifying Tesla's leadership in innovation.
    The Bottom Line: Game-Changers Ahead?
CATL M3P 54 kWh Battery: With the adoption of CATL's M3P 54 kWh battery, the Model 2 could offer higher energy density, extending its driving range and performance. This battery technology could play a crucial role in enhancing affordability and competitiveness in the market.
Tesla's Redwood Model 2 have the potential to be game-changers. With affordability, performance, and innovation at the forefront, they could reshape the electric vehicle landscape and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.

    1. A model 2, ideally if I was designing, would be at a low price point. $25K would probably be good.
    2. Range of 400 miles minimum and fast charging of course.
    3. Small but comfortable and easy to park in dense areas.
    4. A regular roof with sun roof option. The all glass roof needs to go.
    5. Keep the stalks for turn signals and wipers.
    6. Easy entry/exit. The model 3 is too low to the ground and uncomfortable getting in and out.
    7. A 2 door or 4 door option.
Those are basics I would recommend.

Tesla has got to figure out in an efficient way how to manufacture many variants of their cars from a single platform and assembly plant. Not everyone wants the exact same Model Y or Model 3. It should be possible using the unboxed process and other new processes to make a sports coupe, compact pickup, and other variants of the Gen 3 platform, not just a single 5 door hatch model.

Im waiting for the Zeekr EV to be available in the United States. The Zeekr has a 15 minute charging time and unlike tesla, has a range of 640 miles. A larger, luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make. This is a real EV..,

    • @adamtech999

Carmaker usually buy car from other brand to explore the tech behind it. That is normal thing happen in automotive industry nowadays. Honda knows how to create cheap car, and Tesla will learn and improve from it, I see it's a win-win for both Tesla and Tesla's buyer. I wouldn't rather use the word "copy" here.

IT looks nice but, they still didn't add the important qualities and improvements. Still providing a short and shitty range of only 380 miles. The Zeekr EV made in china has a range of 640 miles!!! Why, why cant Tesla do the same thing? My Jaguar XJL has a rage of 570 miles and would trade it in for a Zeekr in a heartbeat but, like highspeed bullet train technology which is also, (fully electric), it's not available in the United States of America. But, you EV people know nothing about range. And ofcourse with a super, super charger, you can charge in 20 minutes? Otherwise useing a level 2 charging with an output of around 7.2 kilowatts, it might take 8-12 hours to charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent full charge. So go out and spend the extra money for a charging apparatus to hook up to your house and your electric grid. Yes it's worth the approximate 23k to 25k for short and shitty range you will get and the long downtimes. Plus again, not a car for those of us who prefer a large full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make. So i think many of us here in America will continue to leave well enough alone....

Be careful with Chinese claims because their norm is at least 12,6 % away from WLTP which differs from reality from about 12,1 up to 32%! So the Chinese values have been far away from real life values on European conditions but also German makers give higher estimates than what is possible. Tesla and Hyundai Group (Kia, Genesis, Ioniq) are very close to WLTP but it depends on weather conditions. I made some times already far more with my Kia EV6 and my partner with his Model Y on the same trip. So don’t distribute opinions if you do not drive an EV for a longer period.
