Wow, what a detailed tutorial. I love that the sonimod staircase's variation when it topples. The colours look so nice.
And also, if you want to use wooden dominoes to build this trick but it doesn't have accurate propotion of domino height and width (2:1), I recommend to do that. Instead of standing domino to build the third layer, you can use 2 sideways dominoes stack together and make the third layer too.
Third thing is: Instead of using sonimod staircase to make as lines of fields you can use it as a visual effects by using different colours. Oh and since it have some space underneath the sonimod staircase, you can use lines and sonimod to topple through them as a crossover. This will be satisfy the viewers using this technique.

This is so neat! Although a question- I think this would work without the leaning domino on the last support dominoes. When I saw the slow motion... The sonimod on top still knocks down the last support and that knocks the ending domino line without the help of the domino leaning on the last support. So, will it still work?
Yes, it will probably work even without the leaning domino on the last support domino. That is just an extra precaution to be super sure it'll work :) But not necessary if you don't want to!
