- Summer can pose significant risks to parrots due to the high temperatures, leading to heat stress and dehydration.
Exposure to prolonged sunlight without adequate shade can cause sunburns on their sensitive skin, particularly on their bare facial patches.
Heatwaves can also exacerbate respiratory issues in parrots, especially in species with delicate respiratory systems.
Increased humidity during summer can create a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi, potentially causing infections in parrots.
Additionally, the prevalence of parasites such as mites and mosquitoes tends to rise in warmer months, posing further health threats to parrots.

I keep my bird with me i dont keep my meno in the cage she always sit freely and i keep it in the room where there is a good crossing of air. I have no air conditioner and cooler but i usually take care of my bird more than myself. May ALLAH PAK gives my meno a long and healthy life because i love her very much❤

Indeed good information. Thank you for sharing and I think this cockatoo is also panting with heat I hope you had cool him down. Few days back my birds where also doing the same so I gave them shower and gave them electral in very little amount in their drinking water. Now they are good but still confused is it ok to give I hope it doesn't effect their health later? I have given one of my bird previously also when he got dehydrated last year in March cause of flew away from home and found him after two days.
