Baffles me how you manage to solidify the progress as soon as it clicks. After even just getting it right once, almost all the following attempts already have the previous progress built in. Impressive AF 💪🏻
He truly is just the Swiss Mullen in that way, as well as his ability to know when to bail and when to commit.
I'm also impressed, but it seems like he just progresses from trick to trick: after landing a tough one, we don't see him incorporate it into a regular trick set. Like a single clean execution seems to be all he's worried about. I could be wrong tho.. this video is a good example of him using past learned tricks to build up into even more advanced tricks.
It's all the same physics. Once you've got a certain number of tricks, you generally understand how to manipulate the board
There’s going to be a permanent groove worn into the ground in front of that rail from Jonny Giger. Your incredible persistence inspires me to keep skating at the age of 48. Thank you, good sir
same with me, I'm 49 :)
@@kenzotakeda1973 Awesome! Glad to hear that you’re still pushing 🛹
You could say, he's gonna leave a permanent mark on this earth. lol
I retired at 30......
I'm in a bodyshop doing panel beating and spraying, I'm absolutely fuc*ked physically already and I'm only 36 now.
I need my hands for work, and hard slams take over 6wks to recover from, I just had to quit.
@@PatrickSwayzeOnDbol I remember being able to shake off the worst slams and keep going. Not anymore. A pebble can ruin me for weeks
Congrats Jonny !! That was amazing

I think it hit me with this video why I love your "sole trick landed" videos over so many others out there; it's because we not only get a clean land out of a phenomenal, mind blowing trick, but we get a skate history lesson of it's start, we get commentary on the in's & out's of the process and execution, we get tips and an in-depth look at the workings of how the trick is landed, and we get beautiful sprinklings of top class Johnny skating thrown in as well.
Like you said near the beginning of the vid, these aren't short, simple trick tip vids, these are snapshots at the journey you took from day 1 of learning a brand new trick, and the occasional times where you improved upon it.
You're a beast, Johnny! Love ya, man, thanks for all the amazing work you do!🤙❤
Yooo, my new song “outtamydreams!” finna blow up soon trust 🔥 ❤
Watched a bunch of giger vids and then landed my first heelflip a few days ago. I've always been a kickflip guy so I went crazy loud when I finally stuck one! After all the practice finally!
Heels are more easy for me. When I try regular kicks my board trys to varial to much. If I want to flip and land one while rolling for some reason heel is my go to
@hkr321hkr you are probably kicking down too much, or flicking too far back. Make sure you flick somewhere between the heelside pocket and the tip of the nose, and flick out not down.
@@brianpeterson9739 I will try that, thanks. Knees have been sore with housework, but as soon as I'm feeling it again I will. A heel flip has always been so natural, I guess your right and I'll try your suggestions. I was trying to reverse the heel process in my head when I tried. Forget that and try your suggestions is next. Like I mentioned before I don't mind varial all the time but just a reg would be nice to master like my heel flip
The final make was absolutely beautiful. The filming editing and skating made it a super fun and educational video! I've said it so many times but your determination and patience is always so inspiring. Beste wünschen aus Schottland, und Danke dir nochmal!
Love seeing Mullen skate in front of Paddys Pub
16:34 Gazelle hiding in the single frame 🤣
I remember watching robbie williams bullflip video all those years ago! Wow what a dope collab, thx for dedicating a video to this
Wow! I totally forgot about Robbie Williams! I used to be obsessed with his youtube channel! Mad respect for all the research you do and all the credit you give, Jonny
Robby Skateboard!!
I am truly 100% convinced that, out of all the tricks (created and not yet created) that this man, Jonny Giger, will land it. The level of effort, understanding, and passion that this dude has is in a sk8 god realm. Thank you for being a major component of skateboarding and showing us what hard work and dedication can accomplish on a popsicle stick.
Junge! Das war so aufregend mitzufiebern! 😮 Eins deiner besten Videos von Spannungsbogen bis zu Musikwahl und der Aufschlüsselung der einzelnen Tricks als Basis. Wow!
That was unbelievably clean. Awesome work bro!
That Tre flip off the ramp to flat brought back memories of watching Emeric Pratt do that same thing so big and clean at Lake Owen Skate Camp when i worked there back in 1998 or 1999. Such a great looking trick
That final land is one of the most beautiful tricks I've ever seen anyone execute on a board. So flawless. And the tail doesn't pop which is fascinating to me also.
so glad you went back for it. looks so good
Glad you don’t settle for less than perfection, because you always end up pulling it off perfectly
I quit skating many, many years ago but if I ever did it again Geiger would be the single greatest contributing factor that made the difference.
what a sick looking trick. Thx for sharing your hard work and love for skating
The final make, in the red tshirt, with no tail bounce, is absolutely incredible. Had to slow down the slow-mo. I hope you're good. You look sad and sort of dejected. Zach was singing your praises in a recent podcast about his experience at The Berrics this year.
Love the BMX guys reactions in the background as you where practicing the trick.
As a new average skater, this is how I feel attempting a rolling kickflip for the first time lol good job dude, always is amazing watching you skate.
Same. Good work!
@@skatedad9794 thanks man, keep it up yourself, gotta be harder to get a skate sesh with little ones (; Check my channel to see the small progress I have made, if you're interested of course 💙👊
Hell yeah, you gotta start somewhere. Once upon a time even he had troubles with a rolling kick flip. I'm 35 now and still roll around on a board but I remember landing my first kick flip whlie rolling. A few months later I ended up breaking my ankle trying to kick flip a five stair in a game of skate, anything goes, ended up landing primo and folded my ankle. I'll do a bit of flat land here and there but no more stairs or ledges for this mid-aged skater. Sk8 or die, I'm not dead yet so I still do a bit of skating.
It makes me so happy that you know the difference between a shove-it and a pop shove-it. Anyone under the age of 35 gets it wrong normally. Been skating since 1984. My dogs started barking when they saw your cat LOL. I liked it when your board bounced on the tail. It looks like you did it on purpose. I would add it to your trick list.
You've taught me more than any other skater, Jonny. Fair play. Cheers👍🙂
havent watched jonny in like3 years, i come back and he is still doing ever trick ever created
Awesome job man, you did great and it was super clean. Awesome to have that on camera!
That is a beautiful trick! Thanks for breaking it down and helping us appreciate everything that goes into that move. It’s like decades of skate history compressed into two seconds! Really breathtaking and beautiful when it all comes together. Bravo!
Imagine that 540 then adding like another 360 no comply or foot plant rotation. Much Love Johnny ❣️
ive battled the bullflip for countless of hours and only got close a couple times. i think its time to try it again.
Shit like this wasn't even around when I was hardcore into skating. I wasn't trash at skating back then but I wasn't doing anything like this in the day. I remember when Lazer flips came out and thought those were crazy. There's no way I can land this let alone know where to begin how to attempt it. Skating now days is just fucking insane. Got folks doing hardflip late flips on flatground. The amount of talent the younger skaters have is incredible and I'm glad skating hasn't died out but has gotten even better and more intense.
thats like one of the single hardest tricks in skateboarding. siiiick dude u got it. thats nuts it really is!
Dude Robby Williams! I hope he sees this video. Been a skate nerd forever and used to watch "RobbySkateboard" his RUclips channel. Was always an astonishing skater. You sir are a boss. Congratulations and nice work.
Tremendous ! Stupendous ! Insane ! So much work ethic , so complex , the buildup and breakdown and explanations ! Thank you Jonny !
That an unbelievable clean all in the air bull flip! Awesome Jonny! 🙌🏼
Not only did you do the bull flip more than anyone else, but you have the cleanest one ever done. My next question is what is left. After you do these impossible back yard tricks you continue to melt my brain. Thank you Johnny
That land was perfect! what a stylish trick!
成功しておめでとう!!ブルフリップなんて信じがたいものねぇ!
Great video! I appreciate you explaining the trick step-by-step as well, and yeah it did get confusing at some point (I was mostly thinking "what's a Nerd flip?", haha) but don't feel discourage to do it again as it was very interesting! I was also thinking maybe some kind of 3D/motion simulation program would help in showing advanced tricks too. Always fun to see past Giger as well. Keep on rocking!
What a visually stunning trick, especially when viewed from the front in slow motion! Much love Johnny!
Well done. Thanks for taking us on the journey
I have 4 of your decks and bought those brown gum Braille shoes because of you. I'm 41 and have never had the time to commit to your awesome level of skating but I really appreciate the depth and quality of your explanations. You've gotta be my favorite skater of all time.
Beautiful to took at with the changing seasons in the background and what a disgustingly hard trick i love your vids jonny, keep it up
You are Truly Legendary Jonny Giger. ❤️🔥♾️🍀
Hiii, I'm not a skater, but I love skate, I only wanted to say, Johny, you are inspiring man, beautiful work.
Such a sick and amazing looking trick and glad you stuck with it and can now check it off the list of insane flat ground tricks you've done 🙌🙌👏👏👏👏👏👊🤘
That’s the cleanest Bull flip on the internet!! The giger pants are amazing, they are still holding up Jonny!!
What a legendary journey. Honestly inspiring at this point how much went into this one. I hope I can be as persistent and resilient as you with something I love.
We need more hubba, Ledge, Rail, gap skating from Jonny!
Bro, that make was the cleanest! No bounce, clean revert and roll away - insane! So good. well done for the perseverance and going back to clean it up 🔥🙌🏾😍
Style. Way to go back for it, that last one was beautiful.
Your cat is awesome, Jonny
Jonny you are by far 1 of the goats of flat ground skating 🐐🐐🙌🏼🙌🏼 that was absolutely incredible
This was an excellent video. I laughed, I cried, I felt your relief upon FINALLY landing it perfectly(no bounce!). The music was perfect too. I always love your content but this one was a banger!
Looks like a similar phenomenon to the nollie varial heelflip: a hard-to-learn trick that no one's going to appreciate.
Source: I spent years trying to learn NVH's. You do one, it feels good, & no one else notices.
ive been watching you since about 3 years ago and EVERYTIME i got scared with you trying these massive tricks by the side of this rail like bro, you could hurt yourself really bad
also really nice video i love to watch the process of learning these tricks, sorry for my bad english
I'm so happy to see this video because I grew up watching RobbySkateboards on RUclips. The man was the OG back in the day and I really looked up to him & admired his skating. When he did the Bull Flip back then it blew my mind, and I was praying that you might've seen it or known about it.
It's also a shock to see that he has deleted his channel too because I remember stumbling across it again fairly recently. He has some hiking/biking videos on his channel last time I remember and they didn't have much views, which was sad. But I remember he managed one really clean Bull Flip on there. The dude was cool. I hope wherever he is, he's having the best life and is still skating whenver he can.
Your landing of the trick too is so damn clean and steezy too. Nice going Jonny. This video personally is a nostalgic one. Thank you for putting in the hard work into making great content, acknowledging the history, being damn good at landing these crazy tricks, and for giving back in this community. You're a king. Blessings!
Fantastic trick! Props for continuing to revisit "DLM" (difficulty level murder) for as long as it took to finally nail this one!
incredible tricks again, so much effort going into one trick, it takes a true athlete to accomplish the stuff you pull off. and you never cease to amaze us viewers. well done.
Oh my God! This incredibly sick hobby of skateboarding can lead to such amazing overcoming the path to your goal. It's like conquering Everest. No, space! Thanks Jonny, it teaches you not to give up!
Nice one brotha.. that’s legit working through the steps. Guarantee thats what Mullen did all those years ago but likely couldn’t even watch most of it back.
Absolutely incredible. Love it!
Your dedication is truly a inspiration man !
Congratulations Jonny!
That was super clean! Congrats and keep up the good work.
With Jamie, you are approaching GOAT level... (i mean, after Rodney - the forever King.)
Almost can't see it in real time, it moves so fast.... Looks unbelievably hard but also unbelievably satisfying to land, absolutely awesome keep up the great work. 👍
So great you show how grueling it can be practicing tricks, lol I had hard enough fakie heel s fakie grinds ... I never made it passed the meta nollie but wowy I thought that nerd or bull board slapping the ground looked tight. Seriously your dedication is inspiring, cheers mate
Mind blowing as always. Thanks, Jonny!
Insane trick to be seen ngl, dope video.
Chris Haslam has done some insane flip tricks not sure if they’ve ever been documented or attempted by people before would be worth looking into would love to see it! In some alternate universe you have a skate video part in an almost video with Rodney Mullen, Chris Haslam, and Dae Wong Song lol
Showing the levels like, steps to understand the final trick, thats nice!
You are the goat Jonny ! Love the process , can't believe you landed bro wtf 🔥🔥🔥
turned off Dracula Flow 3 for this
This shit ain’t nothing to me man. Im a DOG. Im biting the fart bubbles in da 🛁
insane comment 😭
THE BEST NOLLIE I HAVE EVER SEEN
It’ addote to watch!
Such a good sense of humor. Even without all the skateboarding skills that Jony has
Tony Hawk: Do a Bull Flip!
Jonny Giger: How many?
Like this new building it up format
Thats insane bro. Another NBD in the books
That final make was incredible man, congrats!
the most well documented flip skater of all time
You do have some great pants. 👏🏻
great video! loves every second of it :D
I think the bounce on the Nerd flip is peak steez
No way you landed that; I call Bullflip!
Edyo es dedicación y superación, sí señor 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I really like your storytelling lately!
mind blowing trick bro. so much props.
That last shot was CLEAN !!!!!!!!!!! 😲
Insane! Big Up Jonny
I would love to see you making a nollie late feather flip or a benihana with the backfoot
Excellent video. You are a hero.
I hope that everyone has a great and memorable day today.🍀♾️❤️🔥
Absolute amazing to do such a trick...720...incredible!
Man that was an amazing make and the video was very well put together as well. What camera and lens are you using? The colors are great
Nice video man, and it sucks robby took his channel down, he had some insane tricks on there, quite a few nbds. I hope he’s doing well nowadays
Amazing as usual
Amazing, man!
Love the journey
This guy is so unbelievable good I look at the title and was like wtf is a bullet flip
Johnny… I dont care what anybody says… you’re the MAN!
i respect your work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These new flips are kinda ninjaish
That was an amazing trick. I've never seen something like that before.
