Miss cartoon orbit, miss collectoons too, sad to hear the reorbit get taken down already. I was originally Edd the Warrior as a tribute to Ed the Warrior who had a collection I admired back in the day. I believe they had every EEnE ctoons and more when we went into trade and they showed me their collection once.
That analogy to NFTs is hilarious. I never put 2 and 2 together. I loved cartoon orbit when I was little. I remember a few expensive ones were TVs with funny clips from shows embedded in them.
This reboot really came and went huh 😢. I hope one day it can somehow happen, to where copywrite wouldn’t be an issue. But devs would have to do this for free and it would be a lot work, and worth of mouth would have to be crazy for players to join. I found this by looking up cartoon orbit, and that’s probably not a common google search in 2024
I have such cartoon orbit nostalgia. Grinding czones to win snipe bid auctions on low priced gold stickers. And now I'm an NFT bro... So it all panned out.
Honestly I feel like on an official level, WB/discovery if they gave a poop about it, could easily do a Cartoon Orbit revival. Just make it as a tie-in to Multiversus if necessary and do an app version. I'm almost willing to put money into it if they actually tried. I truly believe this kind of game can still work in modern era (with some polish ofc.) I mean... just look at mobile games.
I had the sickest czone and would put all DBZ character on that my favorite was Goku doing the spirit bomb. Used to sit up and watch Cartoon Network Friday nights to get the weekly code for the new sprite for that week. I was heartbroken when they took down cartoon orbit. Was way before it’s time.
Has there been any updates to this. I grew up playing this and neopets back in the day and just found out about this x_x to my dismay is already gone. Like some others I still remember my old username xD Zarbon Kai Wheelo390 xD
This is a super cool project and my only issue is something I'm sure they'll work out. The initial theming is a bit wonky. The properties chosen feel haphazard and we're missing a lot of CN stuff. I appreciate their foresight to capitalize on stuff outside of CN, but it just feels a LITTLE slapped together at the moment. I'm sure it'll improve with time!
A lot of the current sets featured in reorbit come from community driven pushes. The creator pays attention to what people are talking about and proceeds accordingly. As someone hopping onto the scene for the first time, I can totally see things being haphazard! Check out the discord chat for a while and you'll see what I'm talking about.
This brings back some really good memories as a kid I miss this My email address is actually my cartoon Network Login and I still use it to this day mainly for signing up to random websites but you know I got adult email address for business related stuff but lol I remember was staying up late watching tunami to get the codes This was so much fun I wish our kids could experience this kind of stuff

No, the creator took it down due to differences between what they wanted and what the users wanted. The site wasn't monetized in any way, and that included a lack of ads. Companies do have the full right to take down things like that, but they don't. Another site, collectoons, had been open for several years and only shut down because the creator didn't want to operate it anymore. These companies recognize it as free advertising as long as it doesn't make the property look bad.
It is! Or well, was. The creator cut the cord on it, but people that came in for it are sticking around to make their own. I plan on making a video for it after it's released
Most only last for a couple of days. The forums and discord have up to date lists of codes, although the forum is where code hints are dropped when a mystery code comes out. You'll usually get a message in game with codes as well.
