Thank you so much for sharing your story. About a year ago I looked for stories like this looking for someone to relate to, but there wasn’t much from autistic folks who had struggled with alcohol. There have been more and more people talking about it on youtube and it helps not to feel so alone. I’m sorry you went through that, and thanks again for sharing. ❤️

I'm glad more people are sharing similar stories, information has to get out of the dark so that our community becomes more aware of this issue.

Keep fighting you are doing great. The importance to the parents to get aware of their kids behavior is crucial but like you said about your mom she has ASD she didn’t know better, thank you for sharing the root of your addiction keep fighting for your healing journey. Good luck

Thanks for sharing. I wasted like 30+ k hours playing computer, but I kept sober somehow. Everything what you mention was offered to me also, but I was addicted to PC. I am from Latvia.

It's not a waste then, since it managed to keep you sober. There are some addictions that are worse than others. Playing WoW for 9 hours a day when I was 17 was the first time I managed to stay away from drugs (alas not from alcohol) for several months.

@autisticrehab5110 it did technically keep me sober, however I did not like myself to a great degree, I compulsively ate garbage and it left me depressed and lethargic. That state I wouldn't call being sober as all you want to do is to play games and do nothing else in your life. But I can't compare it to yours. But 10 years ago a discovered self-development and meditation and I have managed to reverse it to a great degree.

      "I was addicted to PC"
Police constables? Political correctness? Personal computers?

a little off subject, but why is the cup handle in your thumbnail as bright as an LED light??

😂 I guess I increased the glowing effect to put more focus on the cup.. though if you look at the bottom of the cup, it's the same but the handle just sticks out!

This link is even known by most of the medical community but they still avoid talking about it for "lack of definite proof"
