We all know it’s hard to believe how slow/fast time has gone. For me. The One I have loved/overlooked is God. The one I have loved/not loved.. more. Father forgive me. I love you. 🙏 ❤️.
Today, April 2, 2024 is my husband Farank and my 47th Wedding Anniversary. Our friend who has a gorgeous voice sang this beautiful & memorable song in the church on our wedding day; will never forget it.
Congrats!! Been with same "girl" for 47 years too. Do you wonder like we do "where did the time go"? Seems like yesterday when we first went out, and never looked back. Be well and safe, peace to you and yours.
I sang this song to my girlfriend one night and we danced together in my small one bedroom apartment and it was the best night ever. Now we've been married for 12 years 🥰
Yeah, those that love us for who and what happens to us are pretty amazing aren't they!? Peace to you and yours, fight the good fight and don't let the monster win.
Vince, here’s a prayer and blessing for you from a complete stranger. Yet we’re all in the family of man and we’re all interconnected. God bless!❤️❤️❤️
When I listen to the lyrics of this song I always I cant help but remember past “people and places”. It’s like turning pages of my book of life from childhood, teen age years, early adulthood, and adulthood. Now nearing 70 years old, I smile when I remember those memorable events in my life.
Makes me think of my Grammy and how loving she was and how she spoiled me. Such a warm heart for her grandson. Rest in peace Grammy. I hope to see you soon on the other side.❤. I really miss dancing in the kitchen with her.
My daddy passed away 2weeks ago, this was the song we danced to at my 2nd wedding. He will ALWAYS be my favorite man, hero & love. Daddy I love you now and till we meet again in heaven forever 😢💔🙏🏼
My dear mother passed away just over three months ago and listening to this song really hits me hard. It's not easy but I'll always cherish the memories we had together ❤🙏🏼
Sorry for your loss. ManyMarvelousMemories of my mom, so grateful for every one of them. My mother passed on 13 years ago at the age of 66 - damn cancer😢
My dearest mom passed away 1 moth ago. 😢 I just found out that this song is about how I feel now. I love you mom and I miss you so much. But I know that you are well, no more tears and sadness. You and my dad are together and happy.
My Condolence’s to you and everyone that has loss loved ones especially their mothers like myself . This song is bittersweet and beautiful for me the words ring true as I cherish and treasure all my precious memories of long ago Yesterday 🙏❤️
@michaelmorales4381 So sorry for your loss. Our Mom's loss of being here with us anymore is the biggest lost, and she can not be replaced. But we must keep their memories alive. Talk about your mom .. talk to her .. try not and hold everything in.. she would want you to smile again .. hold her deep in your heart.
I visited a town with these moments for the first time after my friend passed. It is crazy how a place, and a song can flood your emotions and bring about grief. I miss my friend, and sometimes I miss the places. RIP “B”
Yes me too There are times I just drive alone to a few spots and the places I lived with my bestest friend who passed from suicide in 98. I completely agree with all the memories that flood into me.
One of the best love songs of all time. I say this knowing the the relationship/person described in this song can also be a friend, family, or basically anyone that has had a profound impact on your life. To me it is one of the best love songs because it reminds me of my life partner!
The song is entrancing... and John is supernatural. Listen to it again and this time focus on Ringo, the drummer. He's the heartbeat rhythm. I'm not a drummer but it seems he's doing a mulitude of nuances, adding syncopation, etc... Aren't we fortunate to have heard them in our lifetime?
I couldn't agree more....I love the Beatles and John really did have that special something about him ( they all did). His son is in a band with Les Claypool from Primus (Claypool Lennon Delirium) and he seems to have definitely inherited that music gene from his dad. You probably have listened to them before, but if you haven't, definitely check them out.
Yes u are right! My father is the original drummer of Testament & he picked up drumsticks at 18 for the first time in his life and was a natural and then worked at it. In a way he was the frontman. In all their tour and concert pics hes in the front. The drummer is always the heartbeat
I was a child of the 50s and 60s. This was my favorite Beatle song of all time, and "Rubber Soul" was my favorite album. I cry every time I hear "In My Life" when I think of all my friends and lovers who left this world too soon.
If a song can somehow be divinely inspired, this is a perfect example. I can't even get through it without getting misty-eyed. It's perfect, poignant, just sentimental enough without being sappy (in my opinion). I can't think of a song that seems to touch so many people so deeply. A masterpiece.
The Beatles masterpiece that still speaks volumes to me. It 'covers every deepest thought In My Life. Like stepping stones into the Everlasting Life ahead, like skipping through post rain puddles, like a child, with joy, like a matured adult, finally coming to grips with all that is, was & remains precious'. Like the start & finish of life's road, finally coming together, to form the Eternal Circle of Life. Where tears of Joy are shed to wash away every misunderstood tear of sadness & wisdom finally wraps its comforting arms around one, like that favourite soft blanket on a chilly morn, or even evening, to wrap around you snug and warm. Life grows with every memory you make, that is why it is meant to be Lived with Love. 🌅🕊️🥰
This was sang by my father in his last moments with me ,this song haunts me and reminds me how precious your parents are..itd been 5 years and still remember how our moments meant to much to me and my mother
This tune is timeless because the words ring true and will indefinitely. I remember dancing to it with my sister at my wedding. Our relationship is not as close as it once was, but maybe that is because we have lost track of John's sentiments.
I was sitting in the living room reading and I heard this song start playing from my grandfather’s phone. He lost his mother on Valentine’s Day and his daughter on Thanksgiving Day. I didn’t know what to do, and I just gave him a hug.
This song was co-written by John Lennon while reminiscing about his childhood memories in Durness Scotland where he spent each summer as a child. John still visited even into adulthood with yoko and his own children. There is a memorial garden dedicated to John Lennon there remembering his life which overlooks the tropical white sandy beach he loved so much.
Even though it was credited to lennon-mccartney, Somewhere I read that Paul McCartney said John Lennon wrote the song completely and that he, Paul, may have added a word or two.
Thank you for posting that information. I am an avid user of Google maps so looked up Durness and the John Lennon Memorial Garden. There are photos of the beaches close by and of the garden itself. I had no idea that there were beautiful white sand beaches with gorgeous turquoise water in the north of Scotland! In the garden, there are upright stones with some of the lyrics from this song engraved on them. Very touching! My great grandfather came to the US from Scotland so I have always wanted to visit. Even more so now!
I was a teenager when this first came out, and although I liked it then it ment little to me. Now I am in my 70s it means so much to me, thinking all those I knew at the time. Aswell as the new recording of "Now and Then" both means so much to us that lived and loved in the 60s it's so heart warming!
Genius 100% , mind boggling that they could take basically a letter and put music to it . The Beatles were the big bang of rock . Nothing was ever the same , everything exploded .
Recently, I lost a dear friend who (in complete honesty) was closer to my wife than she was to me. But her passing sparked a conversation between me and my wife. My lovely wife told me that, if i outlive her, she wants this song played at her funeral. I think I won’t be able to hold back the tears …
This is the 1st time I heard this song. My husband told me to listen to the words(he said this song gets to him) and he thinks of me. We’ve been married 41 yrs and still stronger than ever 🙏🏼🥰🥰
I showed this song to my first love, over 10 years ago when i was in high school. We each other went our own ways...and though I know I'll never lose affection. For people and things that went before. I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I love you more I dont know. Life is complicated, full of hatred. But this songs makes me feel like a teenage in love again. When i feel alone i try to remember those "people and things that went before" and those that still stay. And how much they all meant to me. How much of what i am is made of parts of them.
Bittersweet lyrics to my heart. Knowing all I’ve known and loved. Some good, some not so good but each has its own gift. Though through it all there is something deeper in me, something greater than me and greater than all that I love more. As I seek and grow in this life I trust and know in my heart, “I Love You More”! And More, and More, and More! 🕊🙏💝
I always liked this song but never really understood it until I listened to it again last night. I know different songs have different meanings to everyone to me this song reminded me about the memories of friends and girlfriends I have had throughout my life. After moving and having an old friend move and making new friends and having a new friend recently pass suddenly it reminds me of how lucky I am to have what I have had and would not trade it for anything even the bad.
Listened this song for the first time when I was living in US. They used this song for an insurance ad. Now I've been back to my native country and this song always reminds me all my good years in US❤
This song is so nostalgic for me because this was my father's favorite song and he always played this song when i was a kid, and this reminds me of having such beautiful memories i had.
My pop is obsessed with the beetles. I recently turned 18, he was diagnosed with cancer last year and has been doing chemo, things look hopeful but cancer can always turn around and bite you were you least expect it at the last minute so… he took care of me a lot growing up, he means the world to me, and so does this music because of him. Atleast there’ll always be something to remember him by.
My grandfather's funeral was last week and he wanted this song played as they bought his coffin in, and now all I can think when I hear this song is him. Here's to you grandad
I read today that Ozzy Osborne wants this song played at his funeral. Ozzy also commented on how devastated he was when Lennon was shot as was I. I sent this to my best friend just now because a family member shot himself in the head late last night and she was there and had to call for help. My oldest stepson committed suicide in June of 2013 and I have not been the same since. It took me a long time to fully understand how selfish of an act it is. It is about the wreckage left behind. This song is the best song about life that ANYONE has ever written.
Sorry for your loss. Please heel knowing you showed your stepson kindness and love. My daughter has been a drug addict for 20 years and although she has been in rehab several times, her continued risky life choices will sadly lead to an end that is inevitable. I will be there to continue giving actual and emotional support for her 4 children, all of whom are in stable, safe and loving homes.
This randomly popped in my head today, so I wanted to go looking. I haven't heard it in like 20yrs. Remembered my mom used to watch a show with a woman singing this as the opening theme.
I still today at 63 get choke up when I hear this song it's so great but I can't stop tears rolling down my face... Time goes by so fast 😪 💔🙏 Miss my family I'm all alone and good friends so young gone....I just tell them live on and hurry up and come and get me this world is out of control I had enough... I could see them cracking🤣 jokes on me.... 🤷♀️❤ The Beatles created beautiful music tky guys I was the 70s generation my brother and sister were the 60s... I can still see my sister kissing the television when the Beatles were on and my father was looking at her like she was some kind of a nut job but then again you got to remember my dad was from the 40s generation World War II guy just rolled his eyes and smoke his cigarette when he got to me I was listening to Led Zeppelin blasting in my room " it's be a long time since I rock and roll " My dad hated that music I think back and all I do is laugh and cry that's life "Sinatra had it right "👍
This song and Whiter Shade of Pale are such sorrow! Looking back at my life there are more gone than remain. We can’t change that so keep those memories close. Really that’s all we have.
The lyrics to this unforgettable song are dedicated to all the most wonderful and selfless Moms! You are the most amazing and most loved persons on earth!
my chamber choir is doing a jazz rendition of this song currently, and it is just beautiful. Im grateful to be able to sing a solo in this song as well!
When I hear this song it makes me think of my first real love. It didn’t work out. Im old now, but I still love and miss her to this day. God knows I loved that girl……..
I’m so sorry about the loss of your mother. What a nice memory to hold. It sounds like y’all had a close relationship. When my son got married 2-1/2 years ago, he surprised me with this song for our mother/son dance. I raised he & my daughter, alone. Because of that, the three of us became very close. The song & dance touched my heart deeply, especially since my son is not a man of many words. But, he definitely has a heart of gold. So, your comment was so very nice to read. From a mother’s point of view, I’m sure you meant EVERYTHING to her. 🥰
From Korea. I really think there's no boundary when it comes to thinking about our lovers. We are all alike, but only from different places. Love you all : )
One of the most beautiful from the Beatles.
They have a myriad of incredible songs....but YES....there's something EXTRA beautiful about this one.
@@Mrs.MiaWallace This is NOT sung by The Beatles..really annoying copycats

It's about time I think
I lost my mom last June and this was one of her favorite Beatles songs. Her birthday is today. This song goes to you. We love you Oba.

Yes, very fortunate. And to have them still, especially during these VERY troubled times that are hitting us right where we live.
John and Paul were just a little above their twenties making this song, but how mature their poetry was.
John making it not Paul

If a song can somehow be divinely inspired, this is a perfect example. I can't even get through it without getting misty-eyed. It's perfect, poignant, just sentimental enough without being sappy (in my opinion). I can't think of a song that seems to touch so many people so deeply. A masterpiece.

a classic song written by john, one of his very best.
The Beatles masterpiece that still speaks volumes to me. It 'covers every deepest thought In My Life. The day my mother decided not to continue chemo and enter hospice this was the song my sister and I listened to on repeat during the long drive home.
Vintage Beatles ! Pure, simple and beautiful !!
Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my beautiful “forever 21” daughter who I lost in 2019.
Because in my life I loved her more!!!
I absolutely love this song. I sang it to my newborn son back in 1992.
I heard this sing at a tragic funeral of a young man yesterday. I'd never listened ti the lyrics before. So apt.

You may think it strange but I've never been a fan of the Beatles, but this song is something else 🥰
Music is the medicine for the soul.
The drumming is a masterclass. Ringo is the best! Another immortal song, 500 years from now people will still be singing it.
But this isn't Ringo. It's not even the Beatles. The drumming here is basic, if not a drum machine.

Same exact reasoning over here. Stay strong.
So sorry for your loss. That's what music can do, actually physically and mentally help to heal wounds.
I've just told my son I want this at my funeral
So sorry for your loss .tragic such a young life lost x
Sorry for your loss.
Please heel knowing you showed your stepson kindness and love.
My daughter has been a drug addict for 20 years and although she has been in rehab several times, her continued risky life choices will sadly lead to an end that is inevitable. I will be there to continue giving actual and emotional support for her 4 children, all of whom are in stable, safe and loving homes.
This randomly popped in my head today, so I wanted to go looking. I haven't heard it in like 20yrs. Remembered my mom used to watch a show with a woman singing this as the opening theme.
There is always a time and place where we can leave the past, good or bad, behind, for better or worse. This is such a time.
My Uncle Don loves the Beatles , he passed away long time ago from Cancer . This song was played at his funeral ❤️❤️❤️
Awww, so sorry about your loss Rosie, my deep and sincere condolences, how have you been? 🌺 😢
I remember my father everytime i hear this song. I miss my father everyday.
I still today at 63 get choke up when I hear this song it's so great but I can't stop tears rolling down my face...
Time goes by so fast 😪 💔🙏
Miss my family I'm all alone and good friends so young gone....I just tell them live on and hurry up and come and get me this world is out of control I had enough... I could see them cracking🤣 jokes on me.... 🤷♀️❤ The Beatles created beautiful music tky guys I was the 70s generation my brother and sister were the 60s... I can still see my sister kissing the television when the Beatles were on and my father was looking at her like she was some kind of a nut job but then again you got to remember my dad was from the 40s generation World War II guy just rolled his eyes and smoke his cigarette when he got to me I was listening to Led Zeppelin blasting in my room " it's be a long time since I rock and roll " My dad hated that music
I think back and all I do is laugh and cry that's life "Sinatra had it right "👍
I really feel for you Terese lervasi. Understand how you feel. Sending you many blessings and love ❤
And you are not alone my friend! They are all gone now and at 72 I sit alone! Keep the faith,it's all we have left!
This song and Whiter Shade of Pale are such sorrow! Looking back at my life there are more gone than remain. We can’t change that so keep those memories close. Really that’s all we have.
For all, gone and for those that still remain in our memories ..
Thank you for this particular one ❤❤❤❤. In my life o love my family ❤ and friends 4 ever and ever
Two minutes and twenty five seconds of perfection.
Why is it that it gets harder and harder to listen to this song as you get older ?...
I agree. With age and life experiences we understand the lyrics more. The words become more meaningful.
I love this song.
This song makes me miss John Lennon. R.I.P. John, we all miss you.
Yes its though life relives itself all over again, seems like more and more each time it plays. And if you close your eyes, you can almost feel it.
My best friend sent me this today - love between brothers is real special!
The lyrics to this unforgettable song are dedicated to all the most wonderful and selfless Moms! You are the most amazing and most loved persons on earth!
This song has a lot of magic. It takes you back to good memories of old lovers......and more..

It's even more sad when the loved ones you lost are still alive.
my chamber choir is doing a jazz rendition of this song currently, and it is just beautiful. Im grateful to be able to sing a solo in this song as well!
This song hits two hits two notes with me,so sad and also it takes me back to happy times.
I'm sleeping next to my hubby, listen to this song and after 11 years I think this is the sum up of my life.
When I hear this song it makes me think of my first real love. It didn’t work out. Im old now, but I still love and miss her to this day. God knows I loved that girl……..
Perfect song when you lost the love of your life as it reminds me of all the places we’ve been to before and now I feel empty inside😢!
Are you better now? I know it sucks
My mom used to listen to this with me she passed away I miss you mom -love angel
A true Beatles classic
beautiful song
From Korea. I really think there's no boundary when it comes to thinking about our lovers. We are all alike, but only from different places. Love you all : )
I first heard this song in an underrated Jodie Foster movie "Five Corners" about 12 years ago and haven't stopped listening to it ever since
BEAUTIFUL SONG
I love this song💙
To my son and my mother and you ... you know who you are.

Smiles, absolutely beautiful Patricia, feels really great listening, how are you doing? 🌺 😊
