I first fell in love with the Beatles in 1963 when I was only 11, Now at 69 this song still sends shivers down me ! Absolutely Amazing They have staying power. I know my granddaughters now eight and nine will soon have the same thrill. Beatles forever.

You are a very lucky person Cynthia. You have got the opportunity to witness the Beatles when they were together , in their primes. You've got that feeling of eagerness in you waiting for a new beatles album and the joy when they actually releases a one. I'm a 2000s kid who never got the chance to meet the Beatles in real life ( In fact we don't have all the members of beatles now P.S RIP John and George). Just hoping for a chance to meet McCarthy in-person in future, if possible one day.

I stood at the foot of their graves, staring at the marble headstone of my parents. The only sounds on that sunny day were birds chirping, and a low mechanical growl of a distant lawn-mower. I reached in my pocket pulled out a slim cell-phone, and selected this song. Standing there alone, my mind went beyond the grief, beyond thousands of memories swirling in my head, like leaves in a whirlwind, as lightning flashes of joy and pain washed over me, briefly illuminating each memory. I looked toward the sun. It's rays felt warm on my face, and suddenly i was at peace. This is simply a transition for all of us. It was change. Something an astronomy professor once told to me, rang through the memories, "The only constant in the Universe is change." I placed yellow roses in the small vase on their combined headstone (my mother "Rose's" favorite flower), smiled, and left the cemetery.

Each to their own, but I cannot understand why anyone could dislike Beatles' music. Some of the most beautiful melodies, riffs, and beat ever created. An extraordinary output of high-quality material. I think that somewhere in the vast ether of eternity...Mozart, Bach, Beethoven.......et al.....are enjoying and applauding the music of these four dudes.

Some people resist things that are universally loved. Me for example, it took the love of a girl who was really into the Beatles in my formative years to really develop an interest in them. But once she was gone it was like her energy still persisted through the music so it's always clung around in my playlists. I could experience the things she made me feel just by hearing her favorite music.

I was around 10 when I first heard their music I fall in love with it, now I'm 61, still the same feeling. I have to sons and I remembered I used to play The Beatles songs on a mini cassette recorder while they were going to sleep, today the oldest one likes them and the youngest one plays bass in Rock Band. I can't complain. The Beatles forever and ever.

Is there really any doubt that this was the greatest rock band ever? You snobs who were there: fine, you were there. But wouldn’t you love to be me, hearing this and being blown away for the first time?

"Nothing's gonna change my world" I think it means *"everything is and will be ok in my inner world"*
When I usually feel low, I sing this part and instantly feel with another energy.
    Peace and love for everyone!

At the Let it Be sessions McCartney was quite poised for his 70s mega success, as was George with his "Greta Talks" moment(Ringo too). But, but this song speaks to the greatness of John. A bit of a "toss off" if you will... but it opens all of our eyes to a loving, infinitely potential abyss. John saw it ,experienced it, and shared it. It is quite evident how fragile he is... he didn't bring Yoko along to co-opt- she she held his hand and allowed him to actually participate--and even show up. Across The Universe...the Beatles, as they did over and over again, channel the loving force of the universe.
    Peace and love

Most people misunderstand the song. It is Taoist in intent. He is not say he is intransigent, as nothing will change me. In Taoism, "No thing" is a major concept. If you are attached to "No thing" you are on the road to freedom and contentment for the weary soul. The chorus of "Jai Guru Deva, Om" translates to "Glory to the teacher of God, the source of all existence". This is my favorite song of all that have ever been written. It is a glorious insight put to music and words.

My friend plays this song on his phone on our last day of 1st semester of diploma, knowing that we won't be together for the next 1½ months. Already made memories with this particular friend after just one semester. I sat on my bed of my dorm room, listening to this, seeing my belongings packed up, waiting for my dad to pick me up back home.
