I first fell in love with the Beatles in 1963 when I was only 11, Now at 69 this song still sends shivers down me ! Absolutely Amazing They have staying power. I know my granddaughters now eight and nine will soon have the same thrill. Beatles forever.
They just speak to the soul don't they.
You are a very lucky person Cynthia. You have got the opportunity to witness the Beatles when they were together , in their primes. You've got that feeling of eagerness in you waiting for a new beatles album and the joy when they actually releases a one. I'm a 2000s kid who never got the chance to meet the Beatles in real life ( In fact we don't have all the members of beatles now P.S RIP John and George). Just hoping for a chance to meet McCarthy in-person in future, if possible one day.
awwww
i’m 16 do you got any advice for me
I am right there with you. I was ten years old. My grandson is four and a half years old, he already loves the music.
I stood at the foot of their graves, staring at the marble headstone of my parents. The only sounds on that sunny day were birds chirping, and a low mechanical growl of a distant lawn-mower. I reached in my pocket pulled out a slim cell-phone, and selected this song. Standing there alone, my mind went beyond the grief, beyond thousands of memories swirling in my head, like leaves in a whirlwind, as lightning flashes of joy and pain washed over me, briefly illuminating each memory. I looked toward the sun. It's rays felt warm on my face, and suddenly i was at peace. This is simply a transition for all of us. It was change. Something an astronomy professor once told to me, rang through the memories, "The only constant in the Universe is change." I placed yellow roses in the small vase on their combined headstone (my mother "Rose's" favorite flower), smiled, and left the cemetery.
Beautifully written
Godamn, this reads like something straight out of a Stephen King novel
this has got to be the best comment on Internet.
May God Bless you and your family who have passed and may they be in God's Heavenly Kingdom at peace and at rest.
May God Bless you and your family
So many covers but nothing beats the original....pure genius.
You know it's a special song when it can make you both happy and sad at the same time..Thank you John, Paul, George, and Ringo!
I thought I was the only one who feels like that when I hear it but I'm glad I'm not alone
It's like a sad song plus a joy song. A beautiful lyrics and music.
Agree!
@@arynwhalen197 same
It's not a song, it's a life changing experience.
Even as a child in the 70's i was absolutely fascinated by this otherworldly creation
indeed
MASTERPIECE. makes my heart happy and sad at the same time.
brings me to tears when you really listen to the lyrics - these guys were the master of poetry and song
My dad loved the Beatles ,
One of the most beautiful music creations i've ever heard
😢
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Who's listening to this beautiful song in 2024?
Nothings going to change your world but you
Enjoy it to the fullest

Yo y mientras viva , disfrutare , esta bella música, POR SIEMPRE THE BEATLES
Me (Paola) in Rome ❤

@@jiminykripes4937 me from Roma Italy Ciao!!!
Each to their own, but I cannot understand why anyone could dislike Beatles' music. Some of the most beautiful melodies, riffs, and beat ever created. An extraordinary output of high-quality material. I think that somewhere in the vast ether of eternity...Mozart, Bach, Beethoven.......et al.....are enjoying and applauding the music of these four dudes.
Some people resist things that are universally loved. Me for example, it took the love of a girl who was really into the Beatles in my formative years to really develop an interest in them. But once she was gone it was like her energy still persisted through the music so it's always clung around in my playlists. I could experience the things she made me feel just by hearing her favorite music.
If everyone loved the same anything this would be a dull world. Each to their own.
Because people prefer showing off and being cool and edgy that enjoying themselves
It's basic n juvenile. Boring almost. Lennon was the genius and the real talent in the band. Twist and shout. Lol. Once they did some drugs they cackled out a few good songs
@@EmperorNerox they stopped doing drugs around late 60s, besides, drugs don't make you make music, your soul, mind, and heart do.
Lyrical perfection.
I’m 70 now. Pushing 71. Love this song. It is in my heart.
Bless you, 20. more!!
Same. Now it reminds me of Tomorrow Never Knows, only less trippy, less psychedelic, the perfect other side (‘B’ implies lesser) to it.
Possibly Lennon's best song? An absolute gem from an absolute genius
So right
Wish it had been given proper recording. To me it sounds like they did the best they could to polish it from a rough demo tape. The song was too strong to leave off Let It Be. Even in this etate
@@unknownkingdom sounds better this way, more authentic
A timeless masterpiece.

After all these decades, this song is still relevant & beautiful; and makes me cry. Thanks so much, John, Paul, Ringo, and George. Thanks.
Im 100% with you. What is it about this song those guys such an amazing force that changed the world
In a parallel universe the Beatles are doing world tours together where they never broke up, where John was never assassinated and Harrison too didn't died.
ruclips.net/video/ZPT0NQ7mc1o/видео.html
Would love to visit that parallel universe and see how that plays out. Imagine them doing even more than they have.
This song makes me cry almost just about every time.
And in a other one they are named the shoes
Everytime we listen to one of their songs, that parallel universe comes alive. :)
i just want to let some sople who are going through a lot that people come and go, things happen for a reason, i know you are hurt right now but it is a big part of healing and shifting into who the better you. stay strong

So true !!!
Tell that to a child been raped to death while tortured by a psychopath; very naive thought. I'm sorry but you are not sincere. You want to play the role of the spiritual dude.
@@Elaphe472 really had to ruin you have something wrong with you…
Out of so many fantastic Beatles songs, this one is my all-time favorite
I agree - this and My Sweet Lord do it for me every time, makes me so super emotional and Ive no idea why
In my opinion, a Master Piece, as many others from The Beatles, I love all their songs, ALL, but this one is one of my favorite.
I’m 72 now.
Hope you doing well sir.
Where did those extra 7 years come from 💀
How is this possible
I was 0. I'm 36 now. Still love this song.
I hear you
still a great song. Nothing will change my world for sure.
Love this song; so beautiful and spiritual...
---the stars look like the profile of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart---But John Lennon was better than Mozart---Do you agree,Barbara Wright ?
As spiritual as Motor of love.
The depth of thoughts behind the lyrics and the way he sings with complete fatigue...wariness...speechless. The predicament of humanity explained so deeply and accurately in 3 minutes.
I wish more attention was put into this masterpiece,it was John's baby it's sad their egos got in the way.this is the song that should represent humans to the rest of the universe, perfect song.
Agree ♥
This song is evergreen as true today as when the words music and feelings put together and it will forever be the test of time when we are long gone and In there ever ending infinity and beyond..we on earth 🌎 live in our own univers and make of it as we choose but beyond...that I look forward to going with it xx
for me its perfect as is. Their egos were a result of all the never ending attention but they still turned out bloody amazingly normal and loveable despite it all - nothing and noone comes close to the near perfection of their music
I agree 100% Toikuto! I love this song but I always felt that something was missing from the rest of the band. It basically sounds like a demo without much bass , drums and a string orchestra to express more vibrance in the song.
so nice and beautiful song " Across The Universe" by the BEATLES way back in 1962 i won't forget the thrill of fans shrieking with joy seeing them perform. Those years & days were the happiest days of me now am 69 still a BEATLES FAN by heart forever. . .💖💖💖💖
Im 45 and the beatles have been a structual part of my life. Its helped me be able to release pain of lost loved ones , the beatles are my family. Love ya guys. Good shit john. You brought us all together in this family of love of pain and all the confusion between. Bravo....
This song awakens something in me...
Hope, nostalgia, curiousness
I love the Beatles
Possibly the greatest loss in music after buddy Holly , god bless you John 💙
This song has been in my library for the past two years and I had always skipped until today that I decided to play it since I had recently liked oh-bla-di-oh-blah-dah by the same band and upon Listening to the first chorus I was transcended to a higher and divine place ...a feeling that only a few songs get to make you feel ...thanks the owner of this channel for uploading such a beautiful and timeless work of art

I, like you also have songs that have been in my library for years and haven't played or heard them before. Just earlier today I listened to Ozzy Osbourn's cover of In My Life. I may have heard it a long time ago but just don't remember hearing it.
This band is still just so ground breaking and phenomenal. Thank you to John Paul George and Ringo for blessing us with there vision of what this world can be.

theres just something so different and otherworldy about this song. Like they somehow managed to break through the barriers of music, reality and emotions as they exist
this will always be my favorite song by the beatles. the chorus is just amazing.. it's like comforting to me but still very sad somehow.
You must be very emotional👍◀️⏏
The backing vocals really ‘fill out’ this masterpiece
No song has ever hit me harder. I'll never forget the beautiful group of fans singing this at "Beatles Fest" in the hotel hallway. i couldn't help but cry from the love that was felt.
I have to thank my dad for always playing the Beatles when I was younger and I still love them so many great memories while listening to them
One of the best songs of all time easily
remember having it on a cassette in 1996 or 97.. such a feeling to rediscover it once again...

I was on shrooms when I listen to this song but I love the Beatles and classic rock in general, my father would play rock all my life I’m 21 and we still play rock till this day.
I was thinking someone would write a song like this on shrooms
This is such a beautiful, haunting melody. I especially like the acoustic guitar work on the song.
My favorite Beatles song since I was 13 :-)

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai Guru Deva OM
Nothing's gonna change my world [x4]
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Jai Guru Deva OM
Nothing's gonna change my world [x4]
Sounds of laughter, shades of life are ringing through my open ears
Inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on, across the universe
Jai Guru Deva OM
Nothing's gonna change my world [x4]
Jai Guru Deva OM...

¡Gracias!
I was around 10 when I first heard their music I fall in love with it, now I'm 61, still the same feeling. I have to sons and I remembered I used to play The Beatles songs on a mini cassette recorder while they were going to sleep, today the oldest one likes them and the youngest one plays bass in Rock Band. I can't complain. The Beatles forever and ever.
Just gorgeous and beautiful lyrics. Good memories from yesrs ago. Beautiful song.
Listening again, each time I listen depth just keeps increasing
Is there really any doubt that this was the greatest rock band ever? You snobs who were there: fine, you were there. But wouldn’t you love to be me, hearing this and being blown away for the first time?

"Nothing's gonna change my world" I think it means *"everything is and will be ok in my inner world"*
When I usually feel low, I sing this part and instantly feel with another energy.
Peace and love for everyone!

Mi canción favorita de The Beatles! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
This song : "Jai, Guru, Deva, Om... nothing's gonna change my world." (a rainbow one as far as I am concerned...) One of the best Beatles ' memory ! Some artistic genius here...🤩
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Jai Guru Deva OM!!
Probably... the most beautiful and meaningful song of immortal Beatles !
A treasure from John! No JL and there would be no Beatles!
Just heard this on the radio didn’t know it was the Beatles cause I’m uncultured but I just had to look it up instantly loved it.
At the Let it Be sessions McCartney was quite poised for his 70s mega success, as was George with his "Greta Talks" moment(Ringo too). But, but this song speaks to the greatness of John. A bit of a "toss off" if you will... but it opens all of our eyes to a loving, infinitely potential abyss. John saw it ,experienced it, and shared it. It is quite evident how fragile he is... he didn't bring Yoko along to co-opt- she she held his hand and allowed him to actually participate--and even show up. Across The Universe...the Beatles, as they did over and over again, channel the loving force of the universe.
Peace and love

the genious of John Lennon to write thisbeautiful song.
God bless and all these years now I come to know and understand the meaning of those words? Thank God for everything, and May I say what a beautiful song , it inspire me so much. Thank You Sir John for your beautiful and wonderful songs. May you be at peace, now.😢
This is one of my fav Beatles song. Now at 70, I still reminisce this song thinking of my youthful days.😍😘
Most people misunderstand the song. It is Taoist in intent. He is not say he is intransigent, as nothing will change me. In Taoism, "No thing" is a major concept. If you are attached to "No thing" you are on the road to freedom and contentment for the weary soul. The chorus of "Jai Guru Deva, Om" translates to "Glory to the teacher of God, the source of all existence". This is my favorite song of all that have ever been written. It is a glorious insight put to music and words.

My friend plays this song on his phone on our last day of 1st semester of diploma, knowing that we won't be together for the next 1½ months. Already made memories with this particular friend after just one semester. I sat on my bed of my dorm room, listening to this, seeing my belongings packed up, waiting for my dad to pick me up back home.
