This made me just as creeped out as it did when I first played it as a kid. When Leon started heading to that house in my mind I was yelling "don't go in that building I don't wanna hear that chainsaw."
is it me, or does it seem like when dr. salvador is in the proximity of a genado that grabs you from behind, he or she will turn you in his direction so he can cut you up? If that's something capcom implemented as one their flanking tactics, that's actually pretty nice, and terrifying. Also, salvador's eyes...jeez capcom...Seeing how fucked up he looks, i can only imagine what the bella sisters will look like., because his new design is great.
I gotta say that Villain costume would be my number one pick out of all those costumes I see in the selection for the deluxe edition. Leon really looks like V from DMC5 or Kylo Rin in SWROSW.
It actually looks really sick. I thought that it would be a more horror oriented game now, but as the developer said, is literally an upgrade to the game. New graphics, new mechanics on you and enemies. Damn. It's beautiful.
For me the ganados ACTUALLY talking in european Spanish in the game makes me really happy. I love the goofy old voices, but in a game that is set to happen in Spain made me interested in hearing the accent of this country
I can already see the memes for RE4 remake leon, knife parrying with different monsters and chris looking on saying "That is physically impossible." And the fandom response back saying "Oh but punching a boulder is possible." 1:17 Max turned into Neil McDonough's Dr. William Brikin.
As soon as i finished watching the showcase i immediately ran to maxs channel to see his reaction. To this day, max and simmons playthrough of RE4 years ago was great because their commentary
Max always makes me laugh when he's happy about things revealed in the video he's watching but actually takes it in way after the fact when he's reading it from some other source.
The part where Ashley points a gun looks like saddler is controlling her just like in the original but more... might even be a battle you have to fight, find a way to subdue her without killing her
Don't know if anyone noticed but it looks like there is a +1 under the ammo count for the gun sometimes which means you might get to keep one in the chamber when reloading a non-empty mag. Looks like they want to give a bit of added realism and incentive to not shoot until you are empty.
The hype from this is UNFATHOMABLE. This game was literally everything for so many people, myself included, and i am so excited to play it hands on. But i am even more excited to see max scream and panic in 4k ray-traced lighting.
Knowing this will be old gen as well has literally brought tears to my eyes cause like a lot of people this was one of my most favorite games of all time
Love what they've done here story wise. Leon was only there to gather/ verify the (sketchy) info they had on Ashley, hence he is alone. Also one of the cops leaves the car to ask around (Probably cause he speaks spanish) and after he's gone for awhile his (probably lazy) partner tells Leon to go get him. Game on. Let's go!
Love the changes that make it not feel like a simple retread of previous ground by making it actually scary (sorta, for RE4). Would love if I had a next gen system all these remakes are coming out on though. Then I'd really be excited.
Capcom deserves all the praise, respect and love in the world. They have been delivering for years now. But SF6 and RE4 made it official. Capcom is back. And all these bitter little haters got shut up. Its weirdly satisfying.
God damn this looks amazing! That said I still don’t understand how last of us part 1 could say it was a remake. This is what a remake is the previous games is what a remake was!
It looks like they're fleshing out the "cult" elements of the story too, along with the overall creep factor. Combat looks so stressful and intense too.
Did we get any confirmation on the VA for the Merchant? Bc if Paul Mercier returned to voice him that would be amazing. Plus seeing two Leon voice actors working with each other sounds dope
3:21 Is there going to be stealth in this? That's promising, it was incredibly rewarding and tense in Evil Within, which this remake is reminding me of
Originally still new to the series after Resident Evil VII biohazard and the remakes I played Resident Evil 4 after watching Max. However due to being spoiled by the remakes the controls did not land for me at first. I took a break after the village section and later gave it a shot. I became accustomed to the controls and it became one of my favorite Resident Evil games. I played it before the launch of Village and it was pretty cool to play Village with insight from the fourth game. Played the VR version and it was insane as well. This remake is probably my game of the year contender already even though none of us have played it. Man, I watched the og RE4 trailer so much I keep quoting Leon in my head during this "Who are this people? what are they planning? Great! a chainsaw" **door gets cut down**
Ashley "What, my father??"
From a different trailer but Louis: "Ok, it's game time!" ah the memories...
Always love watching Max's reaction videos, someone who is actually genuinely excited for games.
Silent Hill getting 4 games announced along with more gameplay for Resident Evil 4. Amazing time to be a Horror game fan.
Also Dead Space Remake and The Calisto Protocol.
I can already see the memes for RE4 remake leon, knife parrying with different monsters and chris looking on saying "That is physically impossible." And the fandom response back saying "Oh but punching a boulder is possible."
1:17 Max turned into Neil McDonough's Dr. William Brikin.
Capcom handing out all these Ws is terrifying me.
Love how Leon kicks the Ganado at 16:13 and he straight up disappears into the darkness for a split second. Can't wait for this remake now.
As soon as i finished watching the showcase i immediately ran to maxs channel to see his reaction. To this day, max and simmons playthrough of RE4 years ago was great because their commentary
I'm excited to see the fight against Krauser, he was such a badass in the OG.
Max always makes me laugh when he's happy about things revealed in the video he's watching but actually takes it in way after the fact when he's reading it from some other source.
I cried when the showcase came out lmfao. Resident evil 4 will always and has always been my favorite.
This is gonna be dope af, I am beyond hyped for this!!
The part where Ashley points a gun looks like saddler is controlling her just like in the original but more... might even be a battle you have to fight, find a way to subdue her without killing her
I do hope Ashley's part involves combat. I hate her part on repeat playthroughs cause I basically just speed run it.
Knowing this will be old gen as well has literally brought tears to my eyes cause like a lot of people this was one of my most favorite games of all time
Leon suplexing enemies and Merchant
Yup this is RE4
Re4 is about great , replayable action to me. They have kept that core and it's all I needed to see
Super awesome reaction video, Max. I am super hyped for Resident Evil 4 Remake! Keep up the awesome content! 😎👍🏼
Definitely makes up for RE3 Remake. Looks amazing and feels amazing!
Game on. Let's go!
6:04 - 6:07
The true collective face of the community as they watch this showcase and need this game literally right now
Chainsaw guy: Parry this you filthy casual
Leon:I Teched that shit
"Your right hand comes off" in 4k yess...
It looks like they're fleshing out the "cult" elements of the story too, along with the overall creep factor. Combat looks so stressful and intense too.
@Max ⁺⓵⓺⓵⓪⓶⓷⓪⓽⓶⓷⓸ sus?
Great reaction of a highly anticipated remake by all. It looks spectacular!
This looks absolutely superb it could turn out to be the best RE Title ever
gotta love that they sampled the old radio sound from the original when Leon calls Hunnigan
Holy shit this is gonna go sooo crazy, I’m hyped
(9:08) Featuring Leon from the Devil May Cry series...
Did we get any confirmation on the VA for the Merchant? Bc if Paul Mercier returned to voice him that would be amazing. Plus seeing two Leon voice actors working with each other sounds dope
I heard that it's the same VA for the Duke in RE Village. It's not confirmed tho.
OOOHHH MYYYY GOODNESSS !!!!!!!! My Favorite RE coming back to life. I agree that it’s one of the greatest games of all time.
3:21 Is there going to be stealth in this? That's promising, it was incredibly rewarding and tense in Evil Within, which this remake is reminding me of
Funny that you've mentioned that, considering there's an Evil Within reference in the Extra Costume DLC Pack. It has come full circle.
Did anyone else notice how they made sure this RE4 Leon looks like the RE2 remake Leon? Cutos for keeping that together
Yooo!! This game looks amazing man, I'm so damn excited for it
"president's daughter, Baby Eagle". RIP Leon's Top Secret Clearance. Lol
Thanks God, they nailed it this time.
I could never agree more. It's so damn good.
You missed the OG radio sound when he contacts hunnigan!
This resident evil 4 remake looks so dam badass. I want to play it right now 🤣
Hell yeah!
You're killing it Capcom and Dev 1, you all are on a roll.
*Ethan was taking notes from Leon parrying a chainsaw wielding maniac.*
