We all grew up thinking male cows had udders. Technically there's no such thing as a "male cow" but it's what we learn growing up
It was actually because the creator thought city folk would think all cows looked like that, and wouldn't understand the bulls.
Incorrect, there are female cows in barnyard. The reason the male characters are cows instead of bulls is cause the creator thought city folks couldn’t tell the difference
genuinely fucking loved this game a lot as a kid, was like a mini child-version of gta and i loved upgrading the damn barn, it was so fun, part 2 PKLEASE

lol this game is full of so many _"They knew what they were doing"_ moments, it's like nobody was paying enough attention to a Barnyard video game to notice. "Dankweed Pond" and that squirting animation lmao. This actually looks fun and I'm looking forward to part 2
I actually replayed this last year since I was going through my childhood game catalogue to complete games I never completed. (And there was quite a few) 🤣
The one moment in this game was the tiny chick, Maddie, being all like "Hey you crazy cow, lets go and play."
Me knowing that calling someone a 'cow' means something entirely different than what the game intended. 👁👄👁

dude I'm not gunna lie, this looks really fucking polished and well put together for a licensed movie game. Like solid models, mechanics and ui. Dev team probably had nothing to work with, so for this to be the end result...good shit, get that pay cheque.
Its honestly one of the best most polished for a licensed movie game. Really only ones that I can think of that are better are scott pilgram vs the world and if count shows than ducktales but again those are completely different games from this one

As somebody who lives on a cattle station, I can confirm that we do need a copious amounts of sunglasses for the cows. Though never before have I seen them squirting on eachother. Must be an american-cow thing.

I remember at one point playing this game that there was a mission to collect honey that I didn't want to do, so I wondered if it was possible to buy some from the gophers and complete the mission that way and it worked! The idea of a mission having more than one solution blew my mind at the time!

Omg I remember being TERRIFIED of that one mission where you have to go in that one weirdos nightmares to SAVE the eggs? It scared me shitless, everything was red and just played this "Little CHICKS!!" audio over and over again

It is fun. Even though I sadly was never able to beat it because the save files were corrupted, I had fun with it any way

This is probably the most underrated movie game of all time
It IS actually fun. I remember playing this game on my PS2 when I was like 6 or 7. I would just come back from school and straight up launch the game and play for hours. When my parents got me a bike, I asked them to get a blue one because it was my favorite bike in Barnyard.
I'm not joking when I tell you that I only felt the same freedom a few years ago with Red Dead Redemption 2. No other game came as much closer to Barnyard The Game other than RDR2, talking about RPGs. Minecraft is obviously another one of them.

I never take rotten tomatoes or critics word for anything. There’s been high rated movies that I couldn’t stand, and absolute shit rated movies (in all honesty they probably were shit) that I’ve absolutely enjoyed.
Yet they gave that criminally offensive Netflix film we shall not speak of an 88%.

The Barnyard tv-show annoyed my kid brain so much that I would get angry whenever I saw it on the "next up!" segment on the tv. Somehow though, it made for an awesome video game to watch two blokes fuck around in

The show is gloriously cursed in my opinion. It's surprising how well most 2000s content has aged, though not for the right reasons. It may still upset you though.

The games soundtrack is surprisingly really good, my favorite thing in the game honestly. It goes through genres like Country, Country Blues, Boogie-Blues, Jazz Blues, and yeah a lot of Blues. Give it a listen if you have the time.

You never saw the cartoon? It's incredibly silly, i can't say it's good, but i got a few chuckles out of it, if you like silly stuff and want something to just turn off your brain and binge while eating snacks, the cartoon is really good for that

This game was so much better then it ever had the right to be. So much work and love went into making this game. I love the developers for their vision and actually making a super creative game of such an awful movie. Unironically in my top 5 of PlayStation2 games.

You guys playing the pipe game unlocked my memories of playing it in the sweltering second level of my childhood home on the GameCube. It was anxiety-inducing once the levels went up but pretty good fun. I think it had multiplayer too for those minigames.

God I actually used to play this game so much as a kid, idk if i ever actually beat it tho or if i just kept starting over randomly for no actual reason (cos i did that a lot in games as a kid for some reason like in harvest moon and sly cooper too)

This game is very progressive for its time seeing as how all cows are female yet the game allows you to identify as a "boy". Transcows FTW!
It's not that deep dude, having a male cow with udders is funny, they even says how odd it is that Otis have udders despite being a male cow. 😂

This game was a great time when I was younger. Honestly I still think it's pretty decent, especially for a movie licensed game. How many licensed games have a big open world like this? They didn't have to, but they went the distance and made Grand Theft Cow.
