Hi folks, here is part 8 of my EXTREME PLAYTHROUGH of Days Gone. I hope you all enjoy the video.
Man, that 9MM really is shite! 😂 But you’re holding your own very well so far! Nice job on the takedown of the Lava Arch Horde, I’m going to have to try and remember that easy kill location. And another bonus, you didn’t get clotheslined! 😀 Things are progressing along nicely, only a few f-bombs in this episode, but I expect to hear A LOT more in the upcoming episodes 😂Can’t wait for the next, rescue Lisa and then Lost Lake here we come!
What makes his takedown of the Lava Arch Horde even more impressive is when you realize how precise his timing is. Wait too long to throw that attractor and you are in trouble. 😳
Yes Violet, those rippers are totally f^&%£d once I get my hands on them. I get very engaged with the missions regarding Lisa (and by engaged I mean angry, lol). I get very protective about her, even though this is a game.

Well teach, you inspired me to try this exact play through and egad what a bloody nightmare. I doubt I'll last much past getting into Lost Lake. The arduousness of keeping up with the requirement for scraps using the damned crossbow is enough to drive someone to drink. LOL Taking out the White King Mine horde was a slog and I had to leave and come back again because I ran out of ammo. Were you drunk when you thought up this play through? OMG! LOL I thought I'd try it, but I might just leave it to the experts. Awesome show of skill you are putting on Boris good stuff!!
Borislav is such a pro at this game that he had to severely handicap himself to make it challenging 😂

Honestly my friend, J Bost actually hit the nail on the head. I know this game so well, that with normal things in place, I can run through the game without too many problems. I wanted to create a playthrough that would be tough, but not impossible, and the limitations I decided on, would force me to play the game in a new way that I'm not used to. This may sound crazy, but I've genuinely loved this playthrough, even though the colourful language may suggest otherwise, lol.

Thank you Caron. There are around 4 or 5 episodes that are a bit below 1 hour, but I make up for them with a great deal that are well over 1 hour long. Ironically, the next episode is the shortest in the entire playthrough, but there is a good reason for this, as I wanted it to end at a very specific point. Thank you for watching Caron.

Hello Boris! You’ve helped me so much on this game with your horde and challenge videos…Thank you for that! Please tell me, is part of your extreme play through being you can’t heal while driving the bike? You have stressed me on that a couple of times now. that bike mission is where i realized that i was gonna have to start getting more creative with my bike chase tactics. we have different limitations, but the result is kind of the same -- on mine, i had no bike upgrades so keeping close enough for the SMP9 to be effective was tough. on yours, you're probably going to need strategies to ram the target into a rock. i was ultimately successful on all bike chases, so there are definitely shortcuts to keep you right on top of them :)

Hordes , freaker nests , bike chase , rescue mission , and trying to cheer up poor Lisa. This episode alone is like a complete story lol. Dang my bad memory , whenever you get low on ammo I keep thinking you can get it from the ammo bags on your bike which you obviously don't have as yet. Getting back to Lisa , if I didn't know about the big part she plays later on , I would have wanted Deacon to bring her back to his camp where she would have been safe and looked after. Great job my friend !
As always FM, very kind with you're praise.Definitely a lot going on with this episode, and of course, Lost Lake ain't far away now, so the action is soon going to ramp up, as well as my temper, lol. Seriously my friend, I'll apologize now for the colourful language that is coming in future episodes. Some of these videos ain't for the kids, lol.
It does make me wonder what could have happened if Deek had taken Lisa to Copeland or O'Leary Mountain before Lost Lake. A sequel starring Lisa would be incredible.

Another great episode thanks Boris! I just bought Days Gone from steam while it was on sale for 12.50 and my dang processor overheated but I got a new one installed it and ready for my 1st play through on PC. Going to do the challenges 1st this time! Take care mate. see you in ep 9

Great to see someone still playing this game, i love it although im stuck on the antibiotic plane big dude bit lol.
If you are having trouble with the breaker boss, use stamina cocktails (if you have them available), and arm the bear traps around the explosive cases. Light him up when he gets caught in the bear trap. Breakers take more damage when they are on fire. Enjoy!

Oh Michael, the first meeting with the dreaded Breaker. I really feel your pain here. J Bost has given some great advice on this one. You need to be lighting up the Breaker with fire, then hit it hard with gunplay, and headshots will do even more damage. I can tell you now that I've already passed this bad boy, and there a specific area in this battlefield that will help you immensely. Basically there is an area where you can get through that the Breaker can't, and it has to make a much longer journey to get round to you. This area takes pressure off you by giving you time. You'll see the area when I finally reach this bad boy.
The further I watch as these series are unfolding, the less word “extreme” applies to the videos - it’s more of “a wee of a challenge but nope all good folks” kind of series 😂 ehh!

Boris, after watching your tutorials and especially your endless horde challenges, I learned how the horde moves and how to not panic , so now I love to just use attractors and firearms to destroyed every one of them, except the larger 300 strong ones. Also I enjoy experimenting with all the different weapons using different ones for different hordes…thanks for putting in the effort to record and edit all these tutorials…cheers mate 🍻

Yeah, I was thinking that the other day, there's a mod to increase horde sizes, make the nights much darker, plus difficult rebalance from bhaeron, unfortunately the excellent Days Gone Enhanced Collection has been pulled while the author works on it.
Lol, I have thought about it my friend. The though of taking out larger hordes does appeal to me, lol.

I most certainly will Anastacia. "A Soldiers Eyes", it's an iconic track that perfectly compliments the journey to Lost Lake. I will be honest, I will make nothing from the next video (because the next video has the trip to Lost lake) because of including this amazing track, but I don't care. You simply can't have this part of the video play out without this amazing song. It's one of the most memorable parts of the entire game, and I want everyone to see it the way you are supposed to see and hear it. It gives me chills every time I get to this part in the game because of the storyline going where it's going, and the music that really captures the moment of this story.
Yes, the hordes! The Belknap hordes are fun early game hordes with so many ways to deal with them.
They are indeed J Bost. Just a taster for them on this episode, but they are all going to get it, that I promise, lol.

Best 70 minutes of the day, I gotta go pick up the Nero recorder at the grotto caves now, never knew it was there. That's why I love these playthroughs 😊
Didn't realize that a lot of people didn't know about that recorder. So glad I showed it now, lol.
@@borislav247 picked it up short time ago, horde was not home and I actually found them in the cemetery feeding. Never seen them there before, shot from a distance to get their attention then bottlenecked them at the gates to finish them off, simple.

Always entertaining Boris 👍🏻 I myself recently started a survival II play through and it’s been rough not liking the hud/map missing. The couple seconds it shows up in survival vision is kinda annoying lol. And boy oh boy getting used to fast travel being gone is another thing.
Losing fast travel and the HUD/minimap definitely hurts, but on the bright side, not using fast travel makes your survivor encounters (and the trust that you can earn) increase significantly. 😀

While doing the bike chase, prioritise ramming over shooting to save more ammo and deal more damage epsecially later on in the game, hold left dpad to heal while on the bike and shoot the bike with your primary or special when they first drive past you to get more damage in.
The ramming over shooting is something I do a LOT more as this playthrough goes on, as the 9mm is so bad. Good bit of advice with the pre shooting before chasing also.

Until I started getting lots of money, I refused to waste it on buying gas. If someone didn't know, there's a gas can just outside of Tucker's camp inside the cabin just across from the ambulance. I gassed up there a LOT🙃

You did mate, but it's all good. Earlier episodes were clearing out Ambush Camps & infestation zones etc. You've arrived at the good stuff, HORDES, lol.
@@borislav247 Yeah that's what I came for. I've only had the game for 4 days, it's phenomenal, as is your gameplay. I've seen one of your hoard takedowns and the tricks to get good weapons early, and I'll be watching more. Really enjoying your commentary, so soothingly Scottish.
Loving the series mate but I do have some constructive criticism. Can you use the quick travel when you are going from one side of the map to the other? It is hard to watch 15 minutes of just driving and will make your videos more impactful! By now you have plenty of unlocked NERO sites and camps so you can quickly switch from one side of the map to another.
Second suggestion is that each time you pass nest sites check if your petrol can has respawn and use it to take the next nest. I know you are waiting for incendiary bolts but this will speed up the process. Also, before you set the patrol can on fire used to refill your bike. Then you should be good and will not need to stop down the road for refill.
Sorry I might have missed but you are allowed to use focus injectors - correct?
And I know you cannot craft any melee weapons but there are plenty of them lying around to pick them up. Use them when freakers grab you or get close to you. It's easier way of killing them rather than trying to get some space in between and then shooting them in the head. If you prefer specific weapon you can always change it for one nearby that you don't care about, use it up on freakers and go back and pick up the one you like
Unfortunately he can’t use fast travel because he’s playing on Survival II mode, and it’s not available to use on that difficulty. He also can’t use Focus because that’s unlocked by a skill point but he is using NO skill points on this Extreme playthrough. You don’t realize how much you’re handcuffed in the game not using the things that most of us take for granted when playing lol. But Boris had it all under control and he may be a bit crazy for attempting a playthrough challenge like this, he definitely knows what he’s doing 😉
Ok my friend, a lot to read there, but you've brought up some good points. Violet has already answered a few here, so thank you Violet. Although I don't have fast travel available, I did ponder on potentially editing the videos a touch for the longer bike rides, but, in doing this, I would potentially be deleting some crazy encounters that happen on route, so I decided to leave the footage, and that way, anyone can just skip the video on a bit, which thankfully is very easy to do on RUclips. I do use the melee weapons more when I get to the South, but I always like to just keep the melee weapons as a last resort backup because I can't repair them. I totally get that I can simply find more, but I don't want to spend the time doing that. And finally Jonny, some good points about the petrol cans. I simply don't use them very well at the moment. The incendiary bolts once I get them are much safer & quicker, and most of the areas with these nests, I'm going to have to revisit at points, so I just figured I'd get them then. You are sooooo right on the skills, you just don't realise how badly they effect you, until you are actually playing the game. Some of the limitations I was prepared for, but others started me thinking "oh god, what have I done", lol. But I'm thoroughly enjoying the playthrough Violet.

@@borislav247 I totally understand! Everybody plays games slightly different. I personally prefer stealth method when clearing nests and encampments. I use a lot my knife and and melee weapons especially on wolves and freakers when they get too close because they dodged a lot when they close the distance 😂

If you were on PC would you use mods?
I don't mean for cheating, just things like changing aiming reticule and making the silencers look like the cool movie ones.
I use the one that makes all weapon reticules the same as the sidearm as I prefer that one.
Will be honest mate, I have tinkered with the mods (as I have a gaming PC) by increasing the horde sizes & using some weapons that you don't get with this game (the flamethrower being a prime example when I use it to take out the Sawmill Horde). I also take out a larger Sherman''s camp horde using Sarah in a wedding dress ( the "Honeymoon from Hell" video). I will delve deeper into the mods eventually mate, but a lot of other Days Gone videos to come first mate.
Too bad Alkai had to work under Tucker, he seemed to be a good man

Gutted about the lack of a sequel, but if a film ever gets made of Days Gone (which has been talked about), then a sequel could get the green light. Also mate, I have already updated the sub challenges guides, so they are there for when you need them Michael.

If u don't have enough fuel or ammo for your sidearm the game won't let u do bike chase missions

Did you make it part of the challenge to not take scrap and ammo from cars?
I don't think that Borislav is avoiding taking scrap from cars per se. Since he is not using skill points, he doesn't have the Field Repairs skill that in my experience uses a ton of scrap. He is also not using the weapon crafting that unlocks with some of the ambush camps. As for the lack of ammo looting, I have no idea why.
@@JBost-en9tq Yes I know he’s not doing the field repairs but scrap is also used in crafting which he is doing plus you get the air filter type silencers from them too.
Lol, I promise you John, as I get further into the playthrough, I do start to prioritize scrap more as I have a lot more things to craft that require it. I even end up not fully fixing the bike in order to conserve my scrap supplies ( you see me do this when I'm in the South). As for the ammo, no excuses here, I just don't bother as I'd rather fully restock at the camps. I do loot the cars in this playthrough, but just not very often John.

the dreaded 9mm lol if you look at it's quality it says junk lol so I'm surprised gun never jams when it fires as guns in awful condition. And yes b it did say nest destroyed at pioneer graveyard hehe so it must av bugged out hang on it don't reset the nests if you set 1 on fire then leave the nests area does it? See b they are faster hehe (in patch notes too) so in s1 n 2 there at fastest oh b I read section bout pen and it says what I said hehe I too forsook ak pen in this game too hehe until I realised lining them up saves ammo too

@borislav247 I got it wrong b your not 100% safe on car roofs from wolves I was on a car with a slight raise on banking the twat got me on roof hehe so solo wolves yes but if 2 or 3 they can jump up and bite you. Oh and regarding pen the game does tell you about lining them up as bullet can hit those behind them aks pen is 60%!! B I wonder what pen it will have with 2 birds 1 stone skill? I think I have the clip on one of my vids
@@SoldierRaza Yeah, I have been caught by a wolf on odd occasions on the bonnet section of a car, but runners are screwed once you get a high advantage. They just stay close until you hit them with something.
Tell u 1 thing b bout survivor though the fast travel being locked almost makes me think fast travel wasn't part of game at start and was added later? Hehe. Why ya stopped commenting on my vids?
