Hi folks, here is part 24 of my EXTREME PLAYTHROUGH of Days Gone. I hope you all enjoy the video.
Always cuts me up when Lisa turns back to give Deacon a hug. I want to adopt the poor girl.
Yet another good one boris.
not gonna lie, I almost teared up. I'm not crying your crying.
That scene should cut everyone up Will. It does with me every time I watch it. To go through, what that girl has endured, and still have a solid moral compass, show's just how strong Lisa is, but it's still gut wrenching to watch some of her cut scenes in Days Gone.
If you're not close to tearing up on this cut scene, you're not human.

Damn , that was one hell of an episode ! Before leaving the ripper camp I love the way Lisa came back for a hug. From that point on it was time for revenge. When you first got back to Lost Lake Nicole mentioned that Blair was one of the people the rippers took so that would explain why she wasn't back at her post right after the battle. Drowning the rippers and then finally putting Carlos on ice was the cherry on the cake. Well played my friend. Cheers !
Thank you FM. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this episode, even with the cut scene involving Lisa, that one get's me every time. The Iron Butte region will feel my wrath extremely quickly after this one, so you know the next episode will have as much action as this one, lol. Will see you on Monday my friend.

Thank you Scott for the kind words mate, and yes, that bloody section trying to get out of the house always seems to get me at least once.
Just a couple of points after you get your cut - you can go into the house by the nearest window - I've never been caught going in. And second, you get more ammo if after you loot the fist ammo can, load all weapons, then loot the second can. Not that Boris needs my help. Great series.

Epic battle with the Breaker! I've failed there a few times with decent weapons and skills! Like how you adjusted the run time to suit the story, cheers!
Thank you TP. Possibly the biggest single threat scenario on this game, has now been overcome with the death of that Breaker. From now on, I have my trusty crossbow back, and with it, all my specialised bolts, lol.

I never throw rocks to distract the Rippers when escaping the Ripper compound. I find it makes them too alert. They are perfectly oblivious, even in Survival II. As long as you are crouched (and definitely not sprinting), you can make it through easily.

Fun fact you don't have to kill that breaker on the way in to confront Carlos. I knew I didn't have enough ammo to get the job done so I ran around and avoided him. Just before I tried the door I tossed a smoke bomb. The bomb slowed him down long enough to get inside and then he just disappeared and Boozer was there. LOL This is sooo fun!!! Good work teach.
I did attempt to get over to the next area TW, but got hit with the "leaving mission area" before getting anywhere near the door. I will give this a try though the next time I get to this point in the game, just incase I did something wrong.

@@borislav247 I don’t understand what happened but this is one of my favorite games. Yes, it has a few bugs but holy shit. The game is awesome. I’ve beat it four times and I still play it a little bit here and there to his day.
Lost Lake has a bug with disappearing merchants. You can force them back by running out the front gate then running back in. You have to go out a little bit to trigger the fix. Thanks for another great episode!

Blair will be at her shack if you go to her after getting Skizzo’s rifle from his cabin, but you have to make sure you go there first before you go see Addy. She isn’t there after you see Addy. Or, if you forget to do that, after you talk to Rikki in your cabin you can use the gun locker that’s in there to stock up on ammo, you just won’t be able to get any supplies.

This is one of my favourite storyline missions. It’s a long one but wraps up a lot of the “loose ends” from Deacon’s past nicely. Using Skizzo’s SSR rifle at the dam must have felt like a breath of fresh air! Too bad you had to give it back lol. That Ripper heavy? I hate that effer too! My first playthrough of the game when I was escaping from the Ripper compound I didn’t clue in that I could just hop on a Ripper bike and ride back to the point where you cut through, so I ran all the way on foot. What a dummy lol. You’re getting closer to the big bad Southern region so I can’t wait for that! The Mt. Bailey and Lobert Draw Ridge hordes await! Haha
I love this storyline too Violet. Was expecting more problems, but I came through this lot quite well. The Breaker though, OMG, that was brutal with no fire items to use & the worst guns there is in the game. However, was a lot of fun, and Iron Butte is f&^*$d on the next episode. Not long to go now before the trip to the South. Thank you as always for your kind & funny comments Violet.

@@borislav247 That Breaker had more holes in him than a block of Swiss cheese! He was not cooperating at all! And Boozer wasn’t really helping with all the yelling and throwing attractors around lol. That was a brutal takedown but you finally did it!

Never thought I'd be giving a tip to the might borislav, but you can use a medkit while riding the bike, by pressing and holding left on the dpad. I do have to do awkward finger juggling to keep from crashing but worth knowing
And after you get to Lost Lake you can go back to your bike and restock ammo from your saddlebags.
Thank you my friend. I know about this, but I barely EVER use it, lol. I actually forgot about this until near the very end of the game. I think I actually do this once in the playthrough, but I seriously appreciate you taking the time to pass on this info, that's always appreciated.

@@JohnLloydDavis I never knew that myself. I thought that you leave your bike outside of the marsh entrance? Wouldn't that be out of bounds for that mission?
@@JBost-en9tq Surprisingly no! It's just at the end of the footbridge and you can quite legitimately run up and restock with out the 'leaving game area' warning popping up.
18 mins in and I'm thinking.. Will Boris grab a ripper bike the way I do and break for the border?

Im on my 4th or 5th playthrough while watching this and i only just realized that you can torment skizzo before grabbing the explosives haha i found it hilarious 😂 i never saw before,i just happend to open up the map to pause the game real quick and see the white optional mission icon
Yes indeed mate. It pains me that this is the only mission I never showed on this playthrough. It's not essential, but it's funny as hell listening to Deek taunting Skizzo.
Been inspired to do my own Survival II using your rules, just caught up to your videos. Never realised you could steal a bike coming out of the ripper compound, always legged it on foot instead. This time round I found you can ignore the Ripper Heavies when you fight at Lost Lake camp and managed to get the Breaker to wander off as well without killing it before Carlos fight, saved a load of hassle!
DAMN, wish I had known you could wait until the Breaker wandered off, that would have saved me a LOT of hassle, lol. Appreciate you letting me know about that Nathan, and delighted to hear you have taken up an extreme playthrough also. I wish you well on your's mate.
I love hiding in the bushes, tossing a rock just in front of where I am, luring the Rippers (and other enemies) to me for a nice clean stealth kill. I think next time I'm gonna see if I can clean out the camp with stealth kills. May as well, seeing as they (stealth kills) give more XP than any other method, even headshots.
For those that don't know: a regular Swarmer regular kill nets 20xp (100%), headshot 30xp (150%) & sneaky super stealthy 35xp (175%)! Which really starts to add up with the higher XP kills

nice work on Carlos! he's such a tough fight on this challenge, stamina always just gone...
The stamina was always by biggest concern when taking on Carlos, so I was glad to get the job done (eventually, lol).
Got to be one of the best levels in the game. Great stuff Boris

It was so painful to watch the Breaker encounter as I know that with even focus cocktails Boris would have taken him out in a few seconds. Tough!
This was probably the toughest battle in the game for me because of the extremely limited options I had. Appreciate you watching John.

@@borislav247 That had to be frustrating compared to the first Breaker fight, where you could literally blow him to kingdom come with explosive traps.
Fantastic video. At 22.08 on the way back to your bike, you can turn left and there is a respawning stash of items at the end. I can't remember what they are or if they will be helpful in this playthrough but worth checking out when you revisit the area.
Pains me to say, but I never check any of the Iron Butte areas that have good items (mainly because I can't remember where they are, lol). Really appreciate you letting me know about this one YL.

Since the rippers won’t attack freaks.. I think it would have been awesome to have a 2nd option for wiping them out. The 2nd option being unleashing a horde on their compound.

Yes MSW, apologies for that, I forgot about that option until it was too late. It flashed up briefly on screen & I wasn't paying attention, so I missed the chance to taunt Skizzo.

The Jessie/Carlos fight was intense! I learned not to get greedy on hits with him. He seems to counter after 3 hits for me. One thing I have always wondered about is where the Rippers cheering him on disappear to when the fight is over. 🤔

@@borislav247I thought these rippers were hallucinations from whatever drug Jessie blows onto Desk. The rippers aren't there when Boozer first boosts Deke up, and only appear after the drug starts having an effect. 🤔

I think the best area for a melee weapon in the South is not well known.
The first obvious place is swopping family pics with Kouri there's a mace but once you get your first mission from him the sup axe spawns in the back of the gas station near the gate. Between that and the later one where you find yeast I think Boris will be okay. Last place I know is a sup mace on the wolf cave mission.
Some good areas there you mentioned Damien. The first one I go for is the one just outside Kouri's camp. Later in the game, there is a fantastic spot near the Rimview Ranch Horde's location, where there are actually 2 Superior Metal Axes. I show these 2 spots when I get to the South. And, I actually start using the melee weapons, lol, something I have rarely done in the North.
@@borislav247 Mate I can't do a play through like yours but I am defo doing a no fast travel game.
I missed out on so much on my later games because I didn't play the game, I was just looking to complete the missions.
I'm sure there's some mad real life philosophical point there. 😃

Hello sir, maybe the flashlight should be turned off i dark areas if you do not need it. I think like in the ripper tunnel.
I do not know if it matter, but Deacon should be harder to see if the light is off.
I agree when moving about at night, but in tunnels, it can sometimes be difficult to see. Good idea though.

It sure was Ian. That Breaker was a tough fight, and Carlos gave me a much harder time than I was expecting (Lack of stamina upgrades from my beloved patch perks that I don't have contributed to this for sure). Got there in the end though Ian, and Iron Butte is now open for business, so you know what's coming on Monday, lol.
I never understood the deal with Jessie. Why did they burnes him back in the day? Was Deac, Boozer and Jack just @ssholes? If so I wouldn't hold against him wanting revenge. Did I missed some lore?
Jessie was in the Mongrels MC with Deek and Boozer. He murdered a fellow MC member over drugs and was kicked out of the club. Jack, the club President, burned off Jessie’s back tattoo with a blowtorch (he had the exact same dog tattoo as Deek) while Boozer and Deacon held him down. Knowing that, is “Carlos’s” revenge justified? I guess that’s up to the player to decide 😉
@@VioletJones1999was just gonna reply. Glad you saved me the trouble. Lol Yeah they were “lucky” he survived. That would have been incredibly painful. Sounds like Deke & Boozer were no saints pre-outbreak. They also had no issues with supporting a slaver camp. We like Deke cause he’s changed, but I suspect if we knew him before he wouldn’t have many fans.

@@alexandretiberiuskirk3392 In the Progress tab for the Storylines in the game, under the Ripped Apart heading for those missions and under “I Kept My Name” there are “notes” here from Deacon and he explains it a bit more. There are a lot of great storyline notes here under each mission description, told from Deacon’s perspective. They’re a great read that fills in some of the storyline blanks if you’re inclined to read them!

One question I had during this playthrough and completing DG myself is, do you think its possible to complete the game without any deaths? P.s. really interested how you plan to tackle the very large hoardes in the second half of the game!
It's definitely possible Nathan if you did a playthrough with the use of everything like skills, good weapons, etc. Doing it with an extreme playthrough like this, probably not. I have toyed with trying to do a permadeath playthrough (and it may one day happen), but it won't be this year. A good idea though Nathan. And the larger hordes, you will see very soon, as I'm not far from the journey South.
@borislav247 yeah, convinced its not possible on Survival II mode. Main cause of death is bloody runners.

After Lisa is rescued, Deek drops her off with Rikki to take to Lost Lake, but Lisa during a job run for Lost Lake, simply took off and disappeared. This is first time you see Lisa again.

I don't remember struggling this much with the carlos fight. I just remember spamming and it was too easy
Took a couple of tries to remember the actions for the correct times to attack, once I got them down, it was all good.
The game isn’t the same every time. Sometimes Carlos is a push over & sometimes it’s brutal.
@@Takwakin40 I agree with this TW. Previous playthroughs I have taken him out very easily, but then of course, I had a lot of stamina upgrades through the patch perks, but not in this playthrough, lol.
Dear Sir pls tell me one thing i am playing days gone and completed story now i am killing all the hordes one by one but next day when i open the game then all the hordes are active as before why it is happening ???
Honestly not sure mate. this is very unusual, as the Days Gone game makes regular saves. I would suggest that just before you turn off the game, pause it, and from the menu, select the save game option, as it sounds like the issue is coming from a possible lack of game saves.
