New to robs world. At 63 and 45 plus years of hunting shooting and gun buying I decide to buy a AK 47found rob looking at some reviews. Unbelievable passion and knowledge. Thank you sir. It looks like i have 7 plus years of videos to catch up on. 😂😂😂
I have had to whip out the AK Boot Camp book at the range to refer to info, and show others what they needed to know. Also, I have been told by Rob Ski in videos, and others friends at the range, that bad groups can be frustrating, and attributed to cheap ammo. So It helps to try different ammo, name brands. Cool post Rob Ski, my regards sir.
I have had good results with the PPU mil-spec M67 7.62x39. Full power, consistent and reloadable (the newly manufactured stuff, not the Berdan primed stuff from the 90's and earlier)
At about 7:00, you spoke about your breathing. Something that I teach my students is what I call "sleep breathing." It's absolutely relaxed and allows the muscles to gently squeeze the trigger.
in ROTC they taught us to breath half out then fire in between heartbeats. well my resting heart rate is 83 bpm or so, and with range noise I can barely hear myself think (even with good ear protection) haha. i like this breathe out and HOLD method because it removes chest movement, and if i fire when my heart beat causes a slight movement well then ill miss by 6.001 cm instead of my usual 6.000 haha. i like robs method!
That target completely took me back to BASIC training. We had M16A1 s. One good fundamental of BRM is the penny drill, where while in a firing position you learn how to dry fire the weapon without the penny on the end of the muzzle device falling off. Really teaches you how to correctly pull and not jerk the trigger.
