    I have had to whip out the AK Boot Camp book at the range to refer to info, and show others what they needed to know. Also, I have been told by Rob Ski in videos, and others friends at the range, that bad groups can be frustrating, and attributed to cheap ammo. So It helps to try different ammo, name brands. Cool post Rob Ski, my regards sir.

      in ROTC they taught us to breath half out then fire in between heartbeats. well my resting heart rate is 83 bpm or so, and with range noise I can barely hear myself think (even with good ear protection) haha. i like this breathe out and HOLD method because it removes chest movement, and if i fire when my heart beat causes a slight movement well then ill miss by 6.001 cm instead of my usual 6.000 haha. i like robs method!

    That target completely took me back to BASIC training. We had M16A1 s. One good fundamental of BRM is the penny drill, where while in a firing position you learn how to dry fire the weapon without the penny on the end of the muzzle device falling off. Really teaches you how to correctly pull and not jerk the trigger.

Telint you if you not fired 556 ak , is so similiar to 545 , id say neglible from shooters perspective, even using 74 mgs too just using 3d printed 556 follower, literally amazingly no jams or hiccups in thousands of rounds of 556 even using circle ten 45 round 74 mag, tula plums , pure blacks true blacks rather , bakes , any 545 mag using 556 follower anyways , for my 556 aks (bukgarian SA-M5 and Polish Mini Beryl , again have surprisingly been absolutely flawless!

    I just got a primary arms 3x cyclops from your shop, im really looking forward to building my skills from the ground up, thank you! That being said, would it be a bad idea to split my range time with the optic and with the irons or just focus on getting good with one sight picture?

      I would stay proficient with the irons, but if you are mainly running optic, focus on optic.

    I thought hanging your thumb off the side of your rifle automatically made it a "DMR" and gave you +50% accuracy

    I asked a while ago and got no answer.
    So I will ask again on this video.
    What AK should I get?

      Get some imports first while we still can...if you can afford FB Beryl, get it. If not, Zastava M70 would be good start - really depends on your budget...

    What kind of paint do you use? Any problems with paint on the suppressor?

    • @AkOperatorsUnion
      @AkOperatorsUnion  9 месяцев назад +1

      I use Krylon paints - as far as suppressor , paint will start baking over the time, just keep renewing it from time to time

      @@AkOperatorsUnionhave you ever tried engine paint for barrel/suppressor? It is supposed to not bake off a engine block...think a rifle would be the same?
