It’s a super fun camera to use for sure! Stacking LUTs is a great way to nail my personal preference in camera and speeds up my social workflow like crazy!
Can you use an external monitor to record longer than the 15 min for 4k 60?
It took me some time to approach this camera more from the view of somebody who this camera is really designed for. But man a lot of the choices and features in this camera makes a lot of sense. And it's a great addition to my S5IIX.

This camera would be absolutely massive if it was more affordable. The current price point hurts the proposition, in my opinion. Hopefully they will figure it out, the world needs good lightweight compact cameras for caneras to stay relevant to the general public.
I hope the add the ability to add names to the Luts in camera so you can have a reference to what they are.
I think you can name them, either by naming the cube file going into the camera or you can name it in the LUMIX Lab afterwards. All of my files are named and I can reference them easily.
?? Could these LUTS be used in like DaVinci or PP ?
Yes sir. They can be used in any NLE. They are .cube files so wherever you can use Luts you can use these.

As for these recording limitations… I have multiple S5 II for Professional Work… could I slap on one of my Atomos Ninja V on the S9 for those moments I need a long form. So I can use this as a hybrid ?

I think we all wanted the evf but what can you do 🤷🏻♂️ otherwise a pretty stacked little camera.
Looks nice but it doesn't have the same appeal as the X100VI
Different tools for different jobs I suppose. While the Fuji system is incredible for photography, it won’t hold a candle to these video features.

I know it's good in low light with a fast lens, but it would be nice if someone came up with a good way of shooting with a shoe mounted led light that could be used as a substitute for a small external flash. Maybe an led light that turns on just before you press down on the shutter release button and turns off just after you lift your finger off on the button.
Interesting point! For me, I almost always use video lights anyway off camera. I’ve actually never really shot with a flash before so it’s not a bother for me but this is an interesting idea! Maybe you need to make it 😃🤗
If you Google the description below, you will find a switch that might work. It has a sticky tape surface so you can stick it over the shutter release button. You have to figure out how to connect it to an led light so it will turn on when you press down on the switch and turn off when you let go.

Only thing it does is remove key features
Nah man, the real time luts feature and the Lumix lab are huge. I pick that camera up way more than my S5ii because it feels more fun to use, easy to create. The “process” gets out of the way and you just get to shoot and have fun with this one. Different tool for a different job.
Overheats. Quickly. Pricey. Pass
It does? Have you used it and it overheated? All the content creators I’ve seen using it, and in my own use cases it has never overheated yet. And price per feature is pretty incredible. But if it’s not for you then it’s all good. 👍🏼
I mean how can you YT-ers tell with so much confidence that for the price it's a steal? You have the S5II for 200 dollars more.. :D It has the same sensor as the S5 and S5II, but without EVF, hotshoe, grip (many are always rambling about the grip.. now there is no grip and everyone would die for this camera :D pathetic) :D
I think for many of us, over the years we’ve spend thousands of dollars on other camera that are way more expensive that don’t have half the features that this camera does. We have been spoiled in the last few years with incredible camera releases so it’s tough to make a perfect camera at the perfect price point to make everyone happy. The demographic that this camera is made for, is getting a budget camera with pro features. You are correct though if you need more pro features and don’t care to shoot and share seamlessly, then you could spend the extra and get the S5ii and also be very happy. 👍🏼
How's the Autofocus
Fantastic! Phase detect autofocus is awesome.
The ergonomics looks bad
There is already a grip on Amazon for it. I can’t remember who made it to but it’s a reputable brand

Both Sirui and Smallrig have grips for the S9, but if you have ever shot on older film cameras the ergonomics will feel similar. I'd probably only use a grip with larger lenses.
Such a “good” camera for photo, that even doesnt have a shutter. For the price you could buy waayyy better camera like Fuji x-s20 which is years ahead. This channel cant be trusted.
Glad to see you at least put an alternative option for others to look at if they aren’t interested in this particular camera. I agree there are lots of options on the market for photographers. I really enjoyed taking photos with this small, compact, full frame, 24mp camera that could shoot with my own LUTs. How did you like using this camera? Or have you yet? I appreciate all opinions but to say my channel can’t be trusted is a bit of a stretch. Your welcome to watch and add an opinion but mate, you don’t know me, where I come from, or what form my opinions. Until you get your hands on this camera and start making camera reviews or dedicate your whole channel to helping other people make informed decisions… keep it to yourself.
