They really wanted the world to know about those calls that went our way against Philly in the 10th...given how many times this year I've screamed at the TV because the ump made calls against us, I'll take it, Philly will still finish first in their division.
Well the M's lost a big game to the Red Sox thanks to missed calls at the plate - tonight they win because of them (at least in part). Nice hold by the bullpen and good job to the offense for clawing their way back. Let's hope for the sweep - go M's!

Philadelphia fans, I can relate with y’all on how bad the umps may be, because we haven’t been getting those calls all year for us. Don't forget the homeplate ump who called out Harper on a clear ball and then called that one strike right on the corner of the plate a ball before saying the batter checked his swing to end the game on a walk... One of these days those blind fools will be out of a job and the game at least will be decided by the players

I’m a Braves guy and this has just been a strange season. Injuries and simultaneous prolonged slumps seem to be the order of the day with NL East teams. We even had Seattle before playing Los Angeles (that stretch showed me all I needed to know about the Bravos).
That’s win was rough to watch, M’s have been on the opposite end of these games all year. So I feel for ya Philly, no real baseball fan wants a game to end like that. That umpire scorecard is going to be ugly. Go Mariners
@elasmojones Yes actually. The league needs to have electronically called balls and strikes to be more fair and objective. I've been wanting that for years! You could even have a system where slightly different strike zones are chosen randomly to mix things up a bit and mimic a human factor, but even there the strike zone would be 100% consistent for both teams.

These umpires ruin the integrity of the sport more than anything right now. Literal game ending missed strike call that the pitcher should be rewarded for, but instead it's left in the air to an RNG mechanic behind the plate.
I hope they do something to challenge balls and strikes. The last couple of weeks have been horrible, calling a ball way off of the plate a strike and like in this game. The last batter should have been struck out but they get the win instead
