I was talking to a hybrid owner in another discussion and he said he uses two tanks of gas per year and that the vehicle has a warning indicator that the gas in the tank needs to be used and replaced when he goes 6 months without opening the gas door to put in new gas.
You're lucky that it will be availabe in Brazil, my country of origin, however, I cannot drive any Chinese BEV or PHBEV here because of the blockage imposed by the USA government against the Chinese cars.

Hey mate. This is sold outside of China, it's the BYD Seal U in Europe. But they don't make it for RHD markets which is why we don't get it in Australia. Instead we are getting the Sealion 7, different EV but will be waaay better. Was awesome to meet you at the expo the other week!

At $21,000, this vehicle would sell in the United States very aggressively. It would help a lot of people get out of poverty too because it costs about $1,000 to $2,000 per year less than an operating and owning a similar gasoline vehicle.
Assuming it is available in the USA, there's little chance of it selling at the same price as in China .After import duties and dealer markup it,s anyone,s guess what you would end up paying.

I went down to the new BYD dealer in Mexico (Chinese dealerships exploding everywhere e.g. BYD dealership still under construction) and was excited to see this super sexy powder blue Song Plus plug-in, but surprised by the actual price at over 40k. Not cheap as advertised. What the...? It is the same price as the RAV-4 hybrid. What are your thoughts at that price point, double the $21,000?

The taxi and bus services in the Chinese city of Shenzhen have gone full electric since 2017. These taxis ate the first gen Byd E6 models. Many of them have been running for the past 7 years, clocking in hundreds of thousands of km in mileage, without having to change their batteries.

Is it front or rear wheel drive also can it be charged at home looking at the charge point I wasn’t sure.
