Amen. I suffered 24 years of my life. I can't believe how I survived tbh as I was handicaped every day from morning till evening. I had severe reactions and doctors always wrote it of as lactose intolerance. The reason: because when I ate grain products combined with cheese or milk (dairy in general) I would almost pass out/throw up from the pain sometimes. I found my current doctors (including Dr. Cywes) all on youtube 2 years ago and after going on keto I discovered it was gluten that was the problem... The brainfog (I really resembled someone with ADD) waisted soooo many years of my life. My average grade was somewhere between 18 and 57 (out of 100) during highschool (carpentry, so not the most difficult). Still, I went on to study finance and banking and graduated with a bachelors. People now perceive me as if I'm Aristotle in flesh and blood because I am fairly (self) educated now (keto makes you superman!). But fuck, if they knew the struggle. If I see a young person now with similar signs I do whatever I can to help them because it was purely my diet... And I need to work my ass off daily still to learn certain things that I missed during my younger years.

Wait, what? I have celiac disease, I've known and been on a gluten free diet since I was 8 years old. I'm 32 now and I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD, (below average student, can't read for more than 12 minutes at a time). I've also been diagnosed with depression because of my lack of energy to perform daily tasks. So, some of my story is similar to yours. Damn, could it be my diet? I'll look into it. Thanks for sharing!

    • @misterarminius5907

If you still eat carbs, then the low energy is probably to blame on carbs (insulin taking the glucose out of your blood, making you feel sluggish and tired all the time).
I swear by "diet" now. Sugar is also linked to increased depression, suicide, anxiety, etc...
I now do carnivore, as the carbs from veggies still kepte addicted with cravings, making fat-burning harder too. I feel amazing, and my energy is constant during the day. OMAD/IF sometimes causes insomnia, in case you notice that if you want to try.
I believe that there are sooo many people that think they have add or adhd, while it's all to blame to what they consume. Good luck and great to hear that my previous comment helped someone!

@@vanshdeshwal3212 hey same thing here I ended having a histamine intolerance too along with gluten please look into histamine intolerance and foods that cause it. Also look into mass cell activation syndrome. Take vitex it’s a mass cell stabilizer. Look for herbs with flavanoids that are antihistamine. Look into the doa enzyme needed to break down histamine. I prb just saved your life. Took me 36 to figure out it was gluten AND histamine intolerance. Please take what I’m saying seriously. Will save you years of pain. My doctor tried persuading me that gluten was the root cause of my ALS symptoms, as evident in my high gluten antibodies; but I wasn't fully persuaded... Three years later I started eating only meat, raw eggs and liver, and raw milk kefir; and the deterioration suddenly stopped -- I even regained some strength. Gluten, which is glue, is far more insidious than any doctor can emphasise.

@@malindadenlinger882 Yes, I agree 100%. I don't even bother with any type of crust. I just mix all the meats, keto veggies, and seasonings together in a bowl by hand and then pack the mixture it into a large casserole dish then top with low carb pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese. Super simple, quick, and easy to make. I cook it long and slow in the oven at a low temp to make sure everything is thoroughly cooked and then crank up the heat for the last 5 to 10 minutes to brown the cheese. I cut it and serve it like lasagna that is maybe 1.5 to 2 inches thick. I didn't know what to call it so I just called it "pizza casserole" for lack of a better term. I think I will now call it "deep dish meatza".

Sorry, but this video is a very oversimplified explanation for someone who has Celiac. Of course a low/no-carb diet is going to help but gluten is not only found in carbs... gluten can be found in many, many spices, seasoning, soy sauce, for example, vitamins, medications. Then there is the issue of eating out, cross-contamination and on and on. So just to say, "Go carb-free" will not solve all of your gluten issues and I find it a bit irresponsible to paint this very complex issue with such a broad stroke of the brush.

Rice contain orzenin which is a form of gluten, corn is zein and so on....according to molecular biologist Dr. Peter Osborne. Depending the injury to your intestine. Ingesting too much meat can cause gout in some people. Get genetic testing if you want truth.

Thank you for this. I was born celiac. In my 50's - did keto 'semi-successfully' for a year - but there are far too many keto 'products' to derail one. Let the diet go 18 months ago - when the lock-downs began in Australia here - and my health and weight have suffered. Just started 100% carnivore a couple of days ago - watching the videos of some people with autoimmune disease - seems the best way to go. Thanks again for the content.

Just one very unfortunate thing: bone broth contains gluten. Those, like me, who are very sensitive to gluten, should be careful of bone broth - as well as folic acid, which also contains gluten and has the same effect. Experience have taught me well. 😢

If gluten-free bread is all you can eat, then it's great.
You simply limit your carb intake and focus on proteins and fresh produce.
I'm almost certain celiac affected me when I was a child and that contributed to my poor grades, failure to thrive, errant personality and social difficulty.
I was in my mid-50s when I was diagnosed.
I don't know how much permanent damage I absorbed -- because it wasn't nutrition -- but celiac is a frightening auto-immune disease.
You only have to be right about your food choices 100% of the time.

Don't like his condescending, smug attitude. I've been suffering from celiac disease for decades and I'm not an idiot. Of course I can cut out all carbs. That is painfully obvious. I was never confused about that and I don't think most people are. I bet he thinks this advice is helpful too: "Hey it's super simple to not get hurt in car accidents! Just don't ride in cars! You don't have to make it complicated!"

I was diagnosed with coeliac decise about 15 years ago, and prescribed Adcal D3 one twice aday, stopped taking them because of the amount of suger and calcium in them with no K2- MK7, now taking one aday of 5,700 IU - D3+K2 Mk-7 no fillers or binders 100% clean. Been Keto for 13 months 18-6 time restricted eating, - 24 fast now and then, fully fat adapted and metabolicaly flexible , have to remember to eat sometimes, I'm seriously thinking about going fully carnivore, already 80% just worried about calcium and K2 levels, should I raise it to 10,000 IU and cut the dairy if I go full carnivore? I'm a 75 year old fit and healthy man, plenty of exercise and resistance training, I have Polycythemia Flora and haemachromotosis diagnosed last year on a routine blood test, and my last scan eight years ago showed I have osteopenia, is carnivore going to be OK for me? Worried about high iron levels in red meat ect, minefield for ect

South African based? Celiac here, 2 years post diagnosis. I have been essentially doing what you recommend, mostly because GF breads etc. are awful. The problem comes in where every second product uses wheat as either a filler or thickener (eg. sauces, filler in sausage, spices on meat ) or is cross contaminated during manufacture. I wish I could say it was as easy as just eliminating bread, crackers, pasta.

Have her watch KenDBerryMD on RUclips. Try to get her to try it at least 30 days. Some inflammation take up to 90 days, but I noticed a significant decrease in my joint pain in a week of ketovore. It's been nice not to feel like someone beat me up. Also ask her if she is tired of suffering, and what she is willing to do to feel better.

I have RA also. I had such a horrible flare in September that I couldn't even hold a pen! I was keto at the time so I went carnivore and it got better but still had inflammation so I started eating the Lion diet (rumminant meats, salt, water only) gradually got better. I've been eating this way for 90 days. Almost at the point where I can start adding foods back in to see which might be causing my inflammation. It's SO worth it to be pain free and mobile again!!
