I would recommend sterilizing the jars and lids that the elderberry syrup is stored in before putting syrup in or it may go moldy like jam..sterilize by boiling at least 5 mins :)

I too have been collecting herbs that God gave us out in the fields and woods. Collecting, drying and jarring them up for this winter. Goldenrod, wild wintergreen, black berry leaves plus my cooking herbs that are also medicinal.
God gives us what we need. We just need to learn about them to use them.
    God bless! 🥰

I'm always glad to see that you've posted another video. I feel so much calmer after watching them. I think that's because they hearken back to a simpler, more self-reliant time when most people spent a large part of their lives living in small communities among family and friends. It would be nice if we could recapture that simplicity and sense of belonging. Thanks for taking the time to make and post these!

Great video. THANK YOU for the elderberry syrup. What was the reason for peeling the turmeric and ginger? I was taught that ginger and turmeric peels contain helpful compounds as well (as do garlic, onion, and, well, most veggie and fruit peels), so it's best not need to peel them. My question may sound dumb but I wanna know genuinely. How do you use them? Do you put them in food? Do you drink them? I'm a beginner so

I have a question about the fire cider. After you consumed the liquid, what do you do with the veggies and herbs in the jar. Do you just compost them or can you use them in some other dish such as a soup or stew?
