I really wish happiness was a choice. I agree that it is to an extent, but people and difficult living circumstances can really cause a person to feel down at times. Life isn't always fair and no matter how much sugar you add to the lemons, once someone has thrown in a bit of vinegar, it just seems to spoil the whole batch.
Yes we have many choices. My choice is to lean into the Lord to help change my perspective. To be thankful that I'm healing from my prolapse surgery and to be thankful that the breast cancer I was diagnosed with was caught in its early stage 1. I'm also thankful and I give all the glory to God that my genetic testing for cancer came back negative. I have to remind myself to trust God, whatever comes my way. But I do have those times when I just need to cry and have my husband hold me or a friend to remind me that they're praying for me that I'll get through this. I'm not sharing this to make people feel sorry for me but to remind everyone that we will find ourselves in situations where we need someone to walk beside us, to hold our hand, to give us a shoulder to cry on, to remind us we're not alone.
This is the way to spend winter, in my opinion! Staying warm and cozy at home, sewing, knitting, experimenting in the kitchen and enjoying family time! I really loved this video and the different pieces of fabric you put together look beautiful! 💕
It is a very hot summer here in South Africa with days close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. God's creation is fascinating and truly wondrous. For health reasons my life came to a standstill the past six months and I realize how much I rely on God. Your videos and blessing us with an insight to your world is much appreciated. The Lord set out a plan for the rhythm of life that serves us best, the way we can be custodians of what we have been blessed to take care of (even if it's a little yard!). My grandmother taught me how to quilt. A little tip from grandma Racene, if you press your seems open before making the complete square you’ll get better final stitches and the quilt top will lay flatter when you quilt it.

I love your videos. However as a quilter can I give you some advice? The way you are doing it is fine and it works but for more efficiency you can chain piece each piece after each other. It saves thread too. You don’t have to backstitch quilting blocks as they will be completely enclosed eventually. (Backstitch clothing yes. I do sew both) You could make a block from cardboard if you don’t want to buy a plastic one. (I prefer to live with less plastic myself)I would cut a length and then cut as many blocks from that as possible. Sometimes with my scraps I will have a scrap day and pre cut them into sizes that I use often. For me its 2.5”, 3”, 5” & 10” blocks.
Would you mind listing all of the books that are shown in your videos, such as this one. They interest me very much, but I cannot always catch the titles. It would be wonderful if at some point to watch a video that is specifically about the books that you love, & why they are special to you, can you tell that I am a bibliophile as well:) Thank you, for all that you convey through your videos.

@@hahna77 agreed. I didn't choose to feel immense depression after the birth of my son. It happened to me, and then it left as quick as it came.
