    Look under the left armpit of Radahn's armor. It's missing a chunk. Shard of Alexander is 100% Radahn.

    The deadpan delivery of "Some of these jars could bear they remains of dead gardeners, dead artists... You know people who just like to relax living out their days as conglomerative beings in a sentient jar..."
    Comedic gold. It's like we have Stephen Wright narrating Elden Ring lore.

    I am loving everything about your videos from the mike noise at the beginning to the intermittent bong hits to the full ended speculations that follow down the rabbit hole

    I felt so bad for Alexander. He's so brave and valiant, and a loyal friend to the very end. But I two-shot the fuck out of him.

    I wonder what would happen if a warrior jar consumed larval tears??.. 😳

    After bloodborne hearing the word dregs causes flashbacks. Now all I can think of is Alexander being similar to another (in)famous jar full of "dregs"

    I'm thinking people who worshiped the erdtree are the ones who created them. They not only have the erdtree symbol, they also have a self healing nature on their outer layer. The erdtree has been associated with healing magic. That's just my guess though

    • @TheHonoredMadman
      @TheHonoredMadman  2 года назад +6

      they definitely have benedictions of healing magic on them an their remains litter the surrounding area of minor ertrees, i want to revisit this because this was my first lore video nbut i think they were created as yet another tool of the greater will to have proxies to carry out its order in some way but the jars are sentient and friendly and developed their own culture

      @Night_Terrors 2 года назад +2

      @@TheHonoredMadman it is my understanding that the Jars serve the purpose of returning all things to the Erdtree. At least, that’s how my brother and I came to reconcile their existence. They collect remains and when they are ready they head to a minor Erdtree or a catacomb (which are all connected to the root system of the Erdtree) and there they either stay as a mass grave of sorts or they release their potentate onto the roots themselves, which would explain the dead bodies and viscera coating the roots in all the boss lairs in the catacombs. This even explains the reason behind there being small and large jars present in the catacombs because, as we’ve seen, the more potentate a Jar contains; the larger it gets. So the large ones are there to release their potentate and the small Jars are ones that have already done so and are playing sentry for the souls of those they collected and returned. I’m not sure if there is a single piece of text or dialogue in the game that supports this but considering the fact that they are reliably found in these locations I feel pretty confident in my interpretation of their purpose. The only other places we find the Jars, barring Jarburg, are close to areas with remains to collect. The pile of corpses in Stormveil, the little graveyard cliff in Caria Manor, etc.

    Probably the fire giants hair since that's the last time you see Alexander before we fight him. To my knowledge anytime before that he won't drop the shard of Alexander. I believe the last chance to kill him earlier is at mt. Glemnir in the lava. I'd still like to think that radahn lives on in someway through Alexander perhaps the gold plate in the picture matches radagons armor details than the fire giants. So perhaps the shard of alexander represents his final stage.
    The giant jar seems to protect a pvp arena so he probably got big by consuming the remains of the warriors who fought there as there would be a steady stream of corpses. It'd be funny if when a true pvp arena dlc comes out that the great jar starts expanding and getting bigger

    • @TheHonoredMadman
      @TheHonoredMadman  2 года назад +4

      I appreciate the long comment, I personally don't think it was the giant since every fire giant had red hair and I can't find any reason this one would be considered a champion, he's more like a guardian, plus we only see alexander harvest more bodies for his jar at radahns field where he says he's going to use the great warriors who fought in the shattering, obviously just my theory I mean he very well could have harvested the giant as well I suppose but the giant doesn't seem very important lore wise judging by rhe description of the whip and incantation, I just felt like it made more sense for it to have been radahn as radahn lore wise not gameplay wise was strong enough to where they needed a squad of warriors to bring him for even in his mindless state that he was in. I agree on the colleseums though hopefully the dlc finally explains the point of those places. And the cut gladiator fit also. But you're right about the shard only dropping after his quest because you don't seem him in person in the mountaintops you seem him in the lava then you can summon him for the giant then you see him in farum azula and it could be that the devs wanted people to finish his quest to get the better item, it could just be for gameplay purposes but that's what dope about these games is that we all have our interpretations

      I think the jars can only really use humans, or at least mostly humans. the giants have completely different biology and are tree like on the inside somewhat, so I don't think Alexander could use him.
