I thought this phone have a 66W charging Chris. Just correct me if I'm wrong. But overall love this review i know this month will be a busy for reviewers like you because company will get alot of launched of phones.

You can run a different launcher you have to go to settings, app info, click on the 3 dots on the right upper corner, default app settings, and then desktop. You should be able to choose what launcher you want from there and it will stay.

5:54 There is a way around this that I figured out, it is a bit of a process. This is what you have to do
Settings>Battery>Battery Usage>Tap on screen>Battery Optimisation>Tap on the three dots on the top right>Tap Default App Settings>Desktop (on the top)>select the launcher on the top.
And you're done, enjoy.
Notes: it is a bit buggy, sometimes when going to the desktop it would show the normal factory Nubia launcher, tapping the home button fixes it.

Wow, impressive work qualcom. You've designed a chip so hot that even a literal fan maxed out cannot fully cool it.
Now imagine if the a14 was actively cooled. I am sure the results would be insane.

Good to see they've kept the fantastic loudspeakers and headphone jack, not good to see they haven't improved cameras, still no selfie image stabilisation and STILL no SD card expansion (SUPER irritating). I used the 5G one year but I am not happy with the software. But when you focused on gaming is a great geek phone.

For exemple my current phone, is a galaxy note 4.
Both phone has a 64 mpixel sensor, and the photo of the galaxy are more than ok. how could the RM6Spro be worst? is it a software issue? would another camera app solves this?
Looking at the temps after your 1h session of gaming, seems that the fan is just a gimmick, i mean it get as hot as the other gaming phone with passive cooling system. the Rm 6 pro with it's aluminium back seems to perform way better at heat management than the 6S pro
do you see any practicall use of the back panel touchpad ? outside of games i mean ?

What is the name of the camera you were using to test the temperature 😏 I was using the previous version of this phone which was 5S, and it was amazing. Never let me down playing COD Mobile on the highest graphic settings, like also CPU and GPU. Would recommend this one, over the Asus ROG phone, which crashes playing COD Mobile. 👍

Is your unit the global version? My 6s Pro will be arriving in a few days, the global model so fingers crossed it will live up to everything I've seen so far. I know software will be so-so and I'm not a game so I'm just getting it for the sheer beast specs that I hope will translate into a solid day to day phone that can chew through anything I can possibly throw at it. Photography is also not a big concern for me or else I'd be looking at the Pixel 6 Pro.

Very nice review! Do you happen to know if this phone will work well with US carriers, Verizon in particular? I really want to get one of these Chinese phones but it seems like most lack the proper bands to work on US carriers.
Back cameras are not really need it after all is a gaming phone, I feel they just want to keep it with simple cameras

How would you know if its having a 165hz refresh rate while gaming?
Just got mine. Cool back design and thats it. I hate the refresh rate, 60/90/120/165hz doesnt make any difference in compare to my old rog2 with 120hz only but very smooth. 😭 I want to cry and wanna throw this phone.
That's a hot gamer right there (pun intended). It appears hardware development is not evolving as fast as software.
Either Redmagic wants to keep the price low for using those cameras or they just want to get rid of the old stock of camera modules.
Pretty sure they just wanna keep it affordable, since it's about 150$-200$ cheaper than the competition with the same specs
Cameras on this phone are ok,and main use of this phone is gaming phone and because of that it have fan,and the cameras are not something that they care about when they make this phone. Greetings from Serbia
@@pozeidon6066 that would be my choice too. I think that Pixel6 would be much better when apps and games would be optimized for Tensor chipset because for now all are optimized for Snapdragon. I have in plan to buy Pixel 6 but we dont have it here in Serbia,and to buy that phone i need to go somewhere in EU. And when Pixel 6 come to sell in Serbia there will be no Bose headphones because our resellers will sell them separratedly from phone,just to take more money from buyers. Sad but true story☹️

This phone is a monster, but I personally don't like the thick bottom and top chin. They should have designed that better, like for instance on the Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
I heard the new sd 888+ chip has heating issues, Is that true? How Hot does it get compared to the sd 888 chip?
Difference between 870 and 888 is maximum 5 degrees and between 888 and 888+ is 1 degree . If you consider all the speed and improvements and also that cooler can down until 5 degrees and one good cooler like the fun cooler can down 8 or even 9 to 10 degrees . It is not a problem . Now if you are a person who only play in mobile for hours and hours like two sessions or more than 5/ 6 hour daily or use a lot really a lot , so go for 870 and your phone would perform a bit less but will long for more years of use ..

Just purchased the Red Magic 6s Pro a couple days ago and all is great except the third “air trigger” at the back of the device which is pretty much unresponsive. Not sure if anyone share the same sentiment or it’s just my device.
Are you sure youre using it right? From what i heard its a slide button. Maybe try sliding your finger across instead of taping.

Yes not much of a difference at all about 3 degrees.

I had the 6 for 2 months, whilst charging I got a whiff of burning, checked it out, it had indeed burnt out all the prongs inside the Type C port. Decided that's the end of Nubia phones for me.
If I wasn't around it could have burnt the house down, I was using the enclosed phone charger and I have the Redmagic 5 that's not had a problem.

I did open up the redmagic 6 after the type C port was burnt out, just to see if anything inside might have caused the problem. Everything seemed ok inside, The type C port was ruined, I looked online to see if I could get a replacement type C port with ribbon cable, could only find the redmagic 5 replacement though, they are slightly different.

Thing is, though, phone performance hasn't been an issue for a few years now. I can't remeber last time I was told "my phone is too slow". 3yrs at least.
I'm sure there's a micro-market of phone extreme gamers, but nobody else cares about performance.
I think gaming phone does have a very niche enthusiast market as well. You got a large display, big battery, high refresh rate, headphone jack and no notch all in one device aside from maybe a lacklustre camera that can kinda be fixed with gcam.
Why my game stops everytime i used my bubble text messaging app in game? Can some1 help me fix it? Its a powerful fone thats y i dont believe that it cant handle that app to stop the game while using bubble chat
the only negatives with this phone is that it has 0 5g NA bands.
I don't quite understand Xiaomi's thinking behind the super low audio bitrate on this one. While it might make sense to artificially limit some of their cheaper devices (given that they sometimes sell phone at different price-points with almost identical hardware through their sub-divisions), what's the point in limiting their flagships performance, especially considering the mediocre hardware? And I wouldn't hope for an update that bumps up the quality, Xiaomi is doing this deliberately and has never (to my knowledge) released an update that addresses this issue.

Do you by any chance have the butterfly cooler? Try doing a test on this phone with intensive gaming in genshin on max settings for 30mins-1hr. I had moisture INSIDE the phone after 30mins of gameplay! Pretty sure this will kill the phone after awhile.
And only transaprent phone owners will be able to see the moisture inside.

No reason why you can't. USB-C is there and functions the same as any other phone if you don't own headphones with 3,5mm jack.

ROG got lots of software issues lately, not to mention, motherboard issues which leads to phones suddenly dying

Jerryrigeverything did a bend test on both phones and they failed and broke at the antenna line.. The red magic 6 survived the bend test because of the metal chassis
