- 3:00 AM UPLOAD! TIME IS AN ILLUSION AND A HUMAN CONSTRUCT!! WOOO!
Anywaaaaaay... how are you all? ready for some drama? of course you are!
so quick histoical summary, the time frame this is set in is just after the Wyatt Rebellion (it was rebellion against Mary's choice of husband (Phillip II of Spain) and no one wanted him as king). During the rebellion they wanted to over throw Mary and place Elizabteh on the throne cause she protestant, iiiiiit didn't work out.
The rebellion was crushed and Elizabeth was sent to the tower of London (she travelled the same route her mother did when she was sent to the tower and saw the spot she had been executed). There wasn't enough evidence to conclude Elizabeth had conspired with the rebels though a lot of Mary's supporters wanted Elizabeth dead so tried to coercer her into signing her death warrant. she didn't due to lack of evidence and had Elizabeth house arrested instead.
In the video Ghost Edward tries to convinces Mary into not killing their sister and it briefly goes over how he had been shitty to his sister and regretted it (i don't know if the actual eddy did regret it but this one does). Apparently the last time all three siblings were together Edward and Mary made each other cry when arguing about religion, specifically Mass (Edward had forbidden it and Mary wanted to carry on practicing it).
The video isn't accurate cause ghosts ain't a thing but i wanted to go a little dramatic. I hope you all enjoy! I'm going to bed!

@@mellon4330 I think she was just sad the world pulled them apart and determined not to let it keep dragging her down. I this animatic you can see Edward comforting Liz when she's worried she'll be killed.
I do support the theory that Mary locked Elizabeth in the Tower to try and protect her from assassinations; her husband's family was pretty aggressive in trying to control England, and Elizabeth would have been a threat to their control. The fact that she constantly delayed signing the death warrant doesn't necessarily support the theory, but it is something to be taken into consideration.
Yeah, I also like the idea of maybe that was her way of showing she did still have some degree of love for her little sister. 💕
@@sirenofthesea7802 I honestly think what persuades me the most is that Elizabeth described her time in the Tower as not bad. It honestly seems more like she was just housed in a safe place than actually a prisoner, given that she didn't at all mind it
fallen_star_2319 actually ive heard she was like under house arrest and not in a tower
@@rivo3 That was when she was younger, I believe. She was in the Tower, that much is confirmed, because Mary visited her multiple times there.
She was actually kept in the same room her mother was held in before Anne's execution.
@@rivo3 Mary imprisoned her because she hated Elizabeth’s mother and though of Elizabeth just like her the only reason Elizabeth was not executed was because she helped Mary in court
The whole Tudor siblings' relationship is pretty damn tragic. To have been so close when they were young to only have that destroyed by the Crown and their own deep seated issues courtesy of Henry. Elizabeth got out of it the best, but even she did some pretty problematic things.
I still really would love an animatic where the three come to realize this and reconcile.

Lilith thanks for the fun facts
@@blepp9807 Even though Mary looking after Elizabeth was meant to be humiliating for her, she did manage to form a friendly bond with her baby sister. But, to rub salt in the wound, Anne had given strict instructions to have Mary slapped & cursed at anytime she asserted her lineage as a princess. But, a few things did get better when Jane Seymour became Queen. Jane actually supported Mary as a princess & even tried to have her put back in the Line of Succession, but her death & another falling out between Mary & Henry ruined things for her yet again. See this is what makes their relationships valuable. The Tudor siblings love each other but Mary hates Elizabeth as well. But she loves them and Edward's ghost leaving in the end means that Mary lost the last part of herself that could have brought her back from crazy town
I like that perspective
Sad Fact
The prison that Elizabeth was held in was the same as her Moms Anne Boleyn. that must have been traumatizing to Elizabeth.

History is messy my dear commenter.
Mary having some regret seeing the death warrant for Elizabeth got me man
Despite what she did at the end, despite being on a murder spree, its notable that she *doesn't sign that death warrant*
Mary hates Anne Boleyn but Elizabeth was tricky because they have the same similarities. Both are smart, brave, and both are mistreated wrong by their own father.
*She really did her sister like that............dang.*
You know Mary wasn't that cruel to Elizabeth. The reason she locked her up it's because she was convicted of treason of being involved in the wyatt's rebellion and she really didn't signed the death warrant because Elizabeth was her only heir because her child-bearing years were over.
@@RandomHuman-yp7lt Mary didn’t hate her, but she certainly wouldn’t complain if she suddenly dropped dead. Elizabeth was saved from Mary’s husband who didn’t want Mary, Queen of Scots and the French King to rule England
@@RandomHuman-yp7ltExactly. Mary really thought that she was involved in a plot against her, but Elizabeth was innocent. In the end, I remember that Mary accepted the reality and recognized her half-sister as her heir because she had no children. My favorite Tudors, by the way, are Mary and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a great queen, but I think she was a little vain because even as an old woman she tried to look young and wore a mixture of clay and vinegar on her face, which was disastrous for her, but she didn't care as long as she looked good. I would hug Mary if she lived in this time. She certainly didn't get much from her dad, nor from her mom, because she left her too soon. And if you ask, I hate Henry. Because of him, I stopped watching "The Tudors" halfway through the first season because I was sick of watching Henry cheating on Catherine of Aragon with her court ladies. That man did not deserve his children or all his wives. I hope Henry burns in hell like the Protestants did during Mary's reign.

A ghost of the past warning Mary about the dark path she's heading!?! Dang, this is like something straight out of a Shakespeare play!
Gonna be honest, I think the nicest Six Kid was Lizzie. The only "bad" thing she really did was execute Mary Scot. After nearly being overthrown by her like 3 times or something.
That wasnt a bad thing.
Mary deserved it.
And she didnt even wanted to...
Elizabeth was having second thoughts. Mary could have lived but Liz was too late.
I mean, she killed like thousands of people during her reign. But then again, that's kinda the norm during that time. Medieval Europe was wild. All monarchs needed to execute or imprison their enemies, otherwise they'll run the risk of causing an uprising that could potentially lead to them losing their crowns and getting beheaded (which surprisingly was fairly common during that time period). So I guess I'll let her off the hook on that one
@@ivyg1515 She wasn’t having “second thoughts”, she signed the death warrant because she had to and then gave it to a councillor for safe-keeping, not intending for it to go public but then it did, and Mary was executed.

Hypothetical situation, if you were to do crossing the line between Mary and Elizabeth, that’d be awesome. Picture Mary considering on signing the death warrant for Lady Jane Grey and Lizzie desperately trying to persuade her to not sign it.
I love how you showed that this is a real struggle for her to do this, and showed the struggle of the between Mary and Edward. The toll this had on Elizabeth having her death waved in front of her face. This very well done I love this I’ve been following since the Cathrine Parr video you have worked so hard for the love ❤️

I love what you're doing! I, too, love the Tudors. I actually got into the history side before even listening to Six. I find Mary I so interesting, especially her relationship to Elizabeth (and what she stood for). I remember hearing somewhere that when Elizabeth was first born, Mary had this mother like relationship with her? Which is so surprising, for obvious reasons. I personally view Mary as someone who was broken. She did bad things, terrible things, but the possible reasons behind that are what really is exciting for me.
I think the fact that Mary's father, not Anne Boleyn, being the cause of the suffering Mary had is what really broke her. Anyways, I really find the Tudors interesting and your channel is what I wanted to see since I was 9. Thanks!
Same! I loved Mary too it kinda stinks that people only see her as "Bloody Mary". She was a great queen.
@@RandomHuman-yp7lt Yes!
YES! THE FACTS!
Why Mary was a good person, with bad choices:
1. She didn't love Elizabeth, she was innocent, but above all, Mary didn't love Elizabeth that much, but at least a little, because during the Wyatt Rebellion, Mary decided to spare her because she realized that she was innocent, she couldn't kill her sister, she already had enough problems because she executed her cousin, Jane Grey.
2. She didn't want to execute Jane Grey, she had to return the throne that her brother took from her because of religion.
3. She let Elizabeth be her heir because she had no children and could not give birth to them, no more.
4. Mary was sad at Jane Seymour's funeral.
5. She treated Edward well and took care of him because Jane could do no more.
6. Her mother was kind, she picked up her character, and her father's crazy religiosity.
7. Mary didn't really hate Protestants. That's not true because she killed them only for religious reasons, she didn't do what another ruler in her place wouldn't do. Mary had a good relationship with some Protestants who were close to her and did not judge them because of their religion, for example with Catherine Parr.
Why she was broken and deserved better:
1. Her husband cheated on her.
2. She was treated like trash when Anne Boleyn was her stepmother.
3. She was unloved.
4. Even Anne Boleyn called her a bastard.
5. Anne Boleyn would treat her badly if she behaved disrespectfully.
6. Her father neglected her.
7. Henry did not allow her to go to her mother's funeral or visit her while she was alive.
8. She lost her mother.
9. Due to this kind of life, she had reasons to cry, but she deserved better and was strong.
Why I love her:
1. I would never call her Bloody Mary because that is disrespectful. Her father was worse.
2. She was a victim.
3. She was a made-up villain.
4. She went through hell in her life.
5. She is like a Disney princess whose story is not made up to sound more beautiful, but tragic.
6. She suffered.
7. She was strong.
8. I love her eye and hair color. Blue eyes and red hair. Perfect match.
9. She suffered even though she did nothing wrong to the people who hurt her, who were also close to her and whom she loved.
Actually, with Lady Gaga kind of being Mary's queenspiration, Cassandra's voice kind of fits? Idk how to explain it, but they sound similar enough so that I could really hear your version of Mary singing this. Great job btw, this was beautiful
I honestly thought this was from a movie Gaga was in! They do sound similar enough, it just might work. 🤩
@@sirenofthesea7802 this isn't from a movie- nor was Gaga in it

@@strawberrymilk5955 I know that. I hadn't read the description before I played the video. The woman singing sounds a bit like Lady Gaga, so I thought it was. You should really read the whole comment thread, not just one comment in the thread.
Rayena Carter Eden does kinda sound like Gaga 😳
The thing is that Mary, Elizabeth and Edward come from mothers that hated each other, and also they come in sequence.
Catherine hated Anne for taking Henry and her throne which take us to Mary hating Elizabeth because for Mary, Elizabeth was the representation of the woman who took her mother's throne and also make her a bastard, also she has to serve Anne and Elizabeth as lady in waiting + religion stuff
Anne hated Jane, because of the same Catherine used to hated her.
And the poor child ended up being total garbage to each other because of the suffering in the past and Henry.

Why Mary Tudor of Aragon & England, France Ireland and Scotland was a Victim
1. She was Disowned by her
Father because she was a girl at 17
2. She was Catherine of Aragons Daughter only real Royal blood really
3. She was a Catholic after her Mother
4.she was seen as a threat to the Throne
5.she was constantly Abused by others around her almost always
6.she was Constantly haunted by the memory of her dark life
Just Remember Evil isn't Born it's Made xo🖤💜🖤💜👑👑👑
7. Her husband, Philip, left her. Mary gave him all the love that she could possibly give, yet Philip didn't love her in return. And when Mary died he only expressed a "moderate grief" and hadn't showed up in her funeral.
8. Besides that, Philip had numerous affairs with other women.
9. Catherine, her mother, was forced to wear a hairshirt which itches and hurts the skin. Must have been traumatic for Mary to be informed about this.
10. She was forced the sign and oath (or legal declaration) declaring that she was illegitimate and that her mother's marriage to her father was null and void. If she didn't, she would lose her head.
11. She was bullied at court. One of them told her "If you were my daughter I would smash your head on that wall until it becomes soft as a boiled apple."
12. Her health was weak and had various illnesses.
Well this is some things I could add. Sorry, I just can't help it. 😂
Kacey McKenzie being a villain or a victim aren’t exclusive to one another. She was both.
