This is the male synthesized voice Otis was famous for using in the 1980s. One of the original places to have it was the contemporary resort in Disney World
I looked sadly no they do have some of the 401s but no voices the all got modified in 2013 now have the Disney character voices. Thanks for this video I have been for years trying to find the drunk Otis the talking elevator voice
@@ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams Wow! The normal grandpa voice is VERY rare these days, and you found a voice that has never been documented!! This is truly awsome, would you be willing to go back and get it saying all the floors so I can record them?
@@ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams Awh! that's a shame. These were really cool. Thanks for getting the awesome video of these. I recently got an elevonic 401 panel. I'm hoping that the voice chip is inside of the COP and not on the controller. It would be cool to get recordings off of it.
Gage I meant to add it is ironic when I brought up the hotel in Disney it has 15 floors well 14 with them skipping 13. And the bottom floor was floor one instead of ground floor. It’s great you found these elevators that still have these voices. The drunk synthesized voice I think is classic and should still be used in elevators.
@@ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams So if that's the case, does it have the normal voice or the drunk voice? And are those elevators still original, or were they modernized?
CaptainElevator42189 one of the low rise elevators have the drunk and demonic voice and by the way every bank of elevators were being modernized with Otis Series M2, even the parking garage elevators which were originally Westinghouse and also the shuttle elevator to the upper-most floors
I totally agree! The drunk voice sounds funny, and I am sure there are original elevonic 401’s with the drunk grandpa voice at Place St Charles in New Orleans LA
3:19 or 4:42 the chime sounds like a squeaky toy as soon as u approach the ground/main floor
The drunk grandpa voice is funny!
I agree on that
He almost sounds like a robot with a dying battery.
“Floor’Floor’” lol
floor fourteen
1:22 normal voice
2:35 drunk voice
main/ground floor
1:52 normal voice
4:42 drunk voice

The original grandpa vooce reminds me of the Coleco Talking Teacher.
LOL that's a funny comparison. Also, I love the Urban Armor Gear phone case. I have one on my iPad.
2:14 floor seven 🥴🤪😵
“Uhh, Grandpa, how many times were u drinking today?” 😅
That other elevator doesn’t just have the drunk grandpa voice, it has an intoxicated grandpa voice! 😆
going up
0:49 normal voice
2:19 drunk voice
going down
1:27 normal voice
2:40 drunk voice

Is there a video of this voice at the contemporary resort?

What about Atlanta marriott
I don’t think they had the drunk grandpa voice, they had the normal one.
Love that Grandpa voice! :)
The “drunk” voice reminds me of the Speak and Spell and the TI99 computers I bet it has a TI chip in there
Possibly.
And it also reminds me of the Speak and Read toy and the Speak and Math toy

I dont think so because I believe they all have been modded by now

floor four
0:43 normal voice
3:01 drunk voice
The Marriott Marquis elevators in Atlanta used to have the normal grandpa voice before the mid 2000s.
I know, I wish there was samples of both the normal and drunk grandpa voice
I know a place that still has the normal grandpa voice I believe, it is at 110 SE 6th St Fort Lauderdale FL
@@ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams in 2015 they were modded by series M2
Love the Grandpa voice!
Grandpa Otis, you're drunk... go home... loooool
TXMN Elevators, I totally agree! It sounds like it’s drunk 🥴🤪😵
TXMN Elevators that is the place where JimLiElevators has filmed Bank Of America Plaza in San Antonio

Well, if it's now later July, is Elevator #5 (the one with the demonic drunk voice) still there, or is it now gone?
That’s really funny!

Vega is right it does sound like speak and spell and speak and read
3:54
Lol drunk voice
NTX Sirenvators, I totally agree! Not only does the voice sound drunk but the chimes sound drunk 🥴🤪😵
Gage Williams grandma otis or grandpa?
Grandpa Otis because Grandpa Otis has been drinking more than Grandma Otis.
1:27 and 2:40 Grandpa Voice !
Thats the normal and drunk phantom voices
I know, right?
Yeah! I wish I recorded samples of the voice
My opinion on the voice at 2:14: I think its not really drunk to me, its probably just very low
I think it is. It sounds like a robot or a speak and spell toy. The voice also sounds like it could be on drugs or crack
@@ElevatingArizonaByGageWilliams LOL

epic
These lifts have the american otis voice

You just commented that on your own video.
Drunk voice was PULLED FROM A SPEAK AND SPELL
Yeah, but the formant is relatively low.
