Older series 1 elevators act weird with their directional logic when stopping, they tend to put themselves in up mode ("going up" / up chime) as long as they arent on the highest floor (hydraulics do the same)
There are still OTIS Elevonic 401s at Primera Towers Office Park in Lake Mary, Florida. Just so I’d let you know as there are still more in Florida than you might think. I have a video of them coming out soon
Thanks i am a diehard isles fan been a loyal fan since 2014 and i reside on long island hence my teams i root for mets jets knicks isles and all long island sports
@@TechNerdNolan I know, I’m so sad those are gone. At least the fixtures and lanterns on the outside are original. Even though they’re gone, there’s still at least three original Elavonic 401 systems in Atlantic City. I rode two of them yesterday.
401s generally have greater or about the same acceleration as 411 but the acceleration on these elevators were not that good. Most 401s level from top speed, slows down to stopped, then opens its doors and re levels. 411 levels from top speed, and slows down to the floor.
I love the grandma voice. It’s one of my favorite voices to hear on an elevonic.
Same when these were at the taj i would mimic her all the time
I worked in a building between 1992 and 2000 that had elevonic 401s, hearing that voice and chimes brought back so many memories… thanks for posting!
