I have spring handles on my gimbal and use it every day for creating real estate walk-through videos. They don't really help for close in movements. Shifting side-to-side...panning...up-and-down jib movements. Stuff like that the gimbal itself works well enough by itself for.
Where the spring handles shine (and are essential for my work) is in any type of long straight-away section. When walking straight forward the gimbal will fall into a rhythm and it will begin to "bounce" noticeably. Even with in-body stabilization and lens stabilization and the gimbal all working together...it's still there. The only way to avoid it is to perfect the "ninja walk" were you walk in a half crouch and thus use your knees as a type of spring to absorb the up-n-down rhythm....OR...you buy spring handles. Since my own ninja walk skills are lacking and I have no desire to improve them (just being honest) I have always opted for spring handles. They will take the up-n-down bob right out of the footage like nobody's business.
The demo reel in this video is mostly comprised of short, close-in movements with just a little bit of running when Keydrin is chasing the young athlete. A much better comparison would have been simply walking along behind him down a path for a good bit of a ways. Do a before and after of THAT and you'd see significant benefit of the spring handles.
Thanks Brian, that's all I needed to know from a real estate point of view - I will give them a try!
Great review, clean edit too man I dig the vibes.
Truly appreciate it
I LOVE your content, super informative and straight to the point. Thank you!
PATRICE POTENT thank you so very much! I try to get straight to the point
PATRICE POTENT wow your beautiful
Dude, your video that you did towards the end was sick. Would really like to see you do more short films like that with your son, or just of sports. Really love the editing and the videography behind it.
Hardened Studios thank you so much! Hopefully i can do more in the future for sure 🙌🏽💯
Great video but didn't notice a big difference in stabilization. I may be wrong?? as you recommend them do you see an improvement in the footage?...
It improved it a little! It eliminates the up and down motion
Great review Keydrin, good to have you back
Gone Zapatero thanks so much! Well give me a few more videos before we say that haha
@@924PHOTOGRAPHY At least you came by, lol
True
Hey Keys … lookin good with the fam. I was not sold on the excellent review on the ARES Z dual handles, so I am going to "rock on" with the Moza Air II for the Nikon Z6. Lil' man got you down 100 (lol). Hope to see y'all in the desert in February … until then keep up with the awesome tutorial work.
Michael Jackson Imageries thank you also! I didn’t like it either after using it for a while. I won’t be there this time
Your son has got some Mad Skillz 😱
Robert & Racquel Malcolm haha yeah he pretty good at basketball but better in Baseball!

LMAO! He does have some handles
Nice honest review!!
Nyakeh Charley thanks so much bro
Where u clamp that onto the stick.does it wear n tear the stick over time maybe?
Great review Keydrin. I can see how the handles would get in the way of using the controls, that kinda sucks unless you're doing a video that wouldnt require the adjustments.
Steven Sanchez thank you! Absolutely
BOY KEY your son is crazy...he had me LOL trying to imitate you....WOW....
James Parish Photography lmao! He’s a mess
@@924PHOTOGRAPHY Especially the other video when he talked about " Cougars too...."...Liking his Instagram site...LOL!!
James Parish Photography haha, i have no idea where all this is coming from haha
@@924PHOTOGRAPHY You know...haha
Waiting to see someone do a video showing it by itself without a gimbal to see would it help handheld movements in any way
TOP40NOW i don’t have a bracket for that otherwise i would try it
Ты очень классный фотограф!!!)))👍
Side by side screen views, would be better for a comparison. Nice video, gotta give credit for behind the scenes, as well.

@@924PHOTOGRAPHY no need for it, it was great
LOL Your son is a trip!!!! LOL LOL That was wrong!!!! :) he has some mad basketball skillz.... oh yea, nice review! :)
evelyn cameron haha thank you so much!
With those handles it makes it look really cinematic.
Seem like a good concept but just like you say it is gonna be hard to work the controls and I think that's the reason we by gimbals.
Your son look like he have some move tell him to keep it up.
But keep him away from the camera lol
Images By Lyrics Photography true that! Yeah he has a few moves
Your son has the “skillz”. The gimbal footage looks the same with and without.
V Smith it was a slight difference not much tho
