I did the same thing as you. I’ve been listening to them from episode 1. Now on episode 83. I can confirm that wings is insufferable, and rarely if ever says anything that doesn’t make me instantly respond with “shut the fuck up wings, you stupid fuck”
That being said, the podcast’s are excellent and I would strongly recommend them.

I usually listen to padcasts to go to sleep, but painkiller already and the official podcast just have random sparks and I nearly shit myself laughing

Wings is more sad, he is pathetic and I pity him to a degree, DSP seems much more calculated and scummy, something about him seems much more malicious. Almost as if Wings and DSP are the same people, however Wings is in a constant pity party and truly believes the world is out to get him for no fault of his own, whereas DSP is much more aware of his situation, and constantly tries to scam people. I could be mistaken, but that is what I have noticed.

I watched enough of his content to come to the same conclusion as Woody. Wings is incapable of stepping out of his comfort zone and trying new things, and worse, doing what he needs to to actually be happy and change. That surgery put that on full blast. He stalled and tried to find every possible excuse he could to not do it and when the pressure to do it never left. He finally did, but it was a massive slog to get through. But what shows you how much he doesn't actually want to change, or has the courage to. Is that he said the surgery would change his life. It very clearly hasn't changed his life. he was so happy he lost that initial weight but either refused to acknowledge or didn't realize that the surgery wasn't gonna magically fix his life. He'd have to work to keep the weight off or lose more. he didn't, to say the least.
It just shows me that even though he is incapable of change and doing things for himself, then blames everyone else for his lack of control, especially when he eats, his laziness, and bad attitude.I know change an be hard, but he apparently hates his life, but can't bring himself to make any meaningful, long lasting changes.
He blames other people for absolutely everything. There isn't a single thing that's ever happened to him that he acknowledges is his fault.
I'm glad to hear about Armake, i used to watch him even. Always wondered what happened to him.
I've realised that he puts all his self-worth on his streams and how good he plays in each game. both are diminishing and so is his self-worth.
Metokur is right though. You can watch tons of videos about Wings raging and whining, and you had no previous knowledge of who he is. Besides Chris Chan and DSP, he is the third most interesting car wreck I have failed to look away from!

@@XiXSAiiNTXiX Can't think of anyone new, but GenoSamuel2.1 has a really great documentary on Chris Chan. The quality and popularity is so good, Chris himself watches it. If you have time to kill, I'd definitely recommend it!

My mom's family is all from a small town called St. George SC and she "escaped" the farm by joining the military... I grew up mostly between the southeast and midwest but went to high school and college in Chicago and still live here. My mom visited me *once* in Chicago since 2004 and no one else on her side has ever come to visit me. They are deathly afraid of Chicago. My uncle thinks Charleston is "the big city," so when I hear about Wings' discomfort about leaving his immediate comfort zone or hometown, I have a sense/feeling that that's a much more prevalent thing in the rural south, or at least South Carolina than in other places. That and obvously the guy is essentially handicapped by his weight.
i dont know if that kind of weariness for metropolitan hedonism and lifestyle is admirable or depressing

its funny how they say wingsofredemption is a coward, and his main playstyle in CoD is to camp in one spot that has an advantage, all game.
Wings had the surgery out of obligation, not motivation, didn't get enough counseling and mental health help. So the root cause was never fixed. He could do this at any time and figure out how to pick up the pieces and maximize it.
No, the root cause is wings’ unwillingness to accept suffering as a means of improvement. It happens time and time again. He refuses to accept short term pain for long term gain in any area of his life. If he lost weight he’d have nothing to complain about and excuse his actions either.
