That's awesome. I would like to start using that bead. But what size staples? 1/2" won't hit the stud? Don't you need longer staples? Thanks
Great for vinyl bead it just need to staple to the drywall the staple we normally use are 3/8. We fiber glass the high traffic areas for added strength then start coating.
Try the M12 Milwaukee staple gun!! It's the shizzz. Game changer.
It worked great for about a month now its a paper weight it jams up every other staple and shoots doubles.

Why you dont put the corner bead on with mud
We do occasionally but I prefer vinyl and staples I stay a bit cleaner. Altought the mud set no coat does take less mud and has a nicer fill.
I do the same thing unless the corner is way off so I mud behind it so I can get the corner straight plus I work with knives and a pan
