Eradicator to the rescue with some nice size bluegill! Have to see you with new Vanford next year once there is a few hundred fish on it perhaps then we can see how those gears hold up. Seems to be a solid reel. Glad you had a fun day!
That's good information about the Vanfords. So you would recommend just buying the old Vanford if it's on a discount then? Which rod were you using in the video? Thanks Victor!
Hi Boss can you compare carabus extreme 195cm with soare XR 2,29 0,6-6 T, Which rod do you think is more sensitive, faster, are these rods similar at all?
I'm surprised you find slow lure fall overrated, maybe it's because i mostly fish in shallow waters and creeks from banks, but i think it have increased my hook up rate. I would love to watch a video more in depth about the up and downsides of a slower / faster fall... I am from Denmark, i fish mostly for European Perch, so there's also a chance behaviors in fish differs and change the results too, but over the year i've switched to fish mostly with buoyant plastics. Thanks for the video.
its definitely a waste of time if u have livescope, but even if you don't, if you assume all the fish is on the bottom, which is a safe assumption, it becomes a waste of time again
Do you like more this knob, or the smaller knob which they install on Vanquish 2000 size? Also will it fit here that smaller knob installed on vanquish from factory?
Funny you said that. One guy yesterday emailed me and said the will give me $100 finders fee just to find him one, and doesn't matter if he pays twice MSRP. I still don't know anyone who would see theirs. I have two and not selling even one of mine. They were discontinued 5 years ago. Abu Garcia Eradicator Slow Taper special, tubular tip. I think solid tips may be available on ebay at some stupid price, but i don't recommend the solid tip, as that makes the tip a noodle
Alot of people want durability, that's why some of us choose stradic...or other solid core reels 😉. Even an ultralight reel need to be durable not just low weight...because we pay with our money not to use it 3-6 months...
I have to tell you, that I have bought Stella to keep me 10 years, and it better last. I sold two stradic ci4+ 2500 to buy it, which served me well, and i took a c2500s which is lighter, just 175g. I do enjoy Stella feeling, the sound is at another level, what to say. For me at least, i make upgrades by selling old gear, which is enough used but also good maintained.Although i have so many reels like you, i did took a Stella to serve me for at least 10 years, but i fish more from the bank. I bet you keep the Vanquish for 10 years too, it feels good and isn’t a Vanford. You’lll sell this Vanford before the Vanquish if you agree. I only managed to make a Complex Xr to feel with special oils and greases about to the same feel, but the rest from the Vanford family I wasn’t able to get the same feeling, very strange. All the best and yes we want more videos. Very nice videos 🎉
well... whenever u generalize, you agree to commit error on the margins. Trust me.. there are people who keep Stellas only until the next one is out. Just like cars
I'm kinda the same, I want my nice reels to last and I take care of them meticulously after each session. I swear every time I've fished next to someone and I look at their gear, it looks just horrible, dirty, rusty.. granted, it's mostly cheap gear so maybe they don't care and throw it around.. So to the point, I don't need a Stella to feel better than the other guy, I can literally fish with my little cheapie Sedona that's spotless in comparison. 😂 I do think people nowadays treat "stuff" as disposable more than they did in the past... anyway, Victor does have a point to an extent, but maybe in my case I won't buy a new high end reel that is exactly the same as the older one I already own. But say I own a 2000 Vanquish and Shimano comes out with a new line, I will definitely be curious enough to get one, but I would likely buy a 3000 or 1000 and find a new/different application for it.
much worse than old. I opened the reel again but i don't see nothing. I don't know what the reason is. Its like the spool is softer and doesn't vibrate or something
Yes sir im here to watch these wormz in action.

well... i want to leave that for the review.. but it is underwhelming the new one..
@@ifishcatfish can you tell me which rod you were using in this video? I couldn't quite make it out. Thanks my friend!
@@danspanos the Eradicator. Old, discontinued rod. Don't try to find it

Great video! what is the rod tho?
its an old discontinued rod that you can never find. You are better off if i don't even tell you. It will save you hours of internet browsing

@@dmrrbn1515 i like this more than vanquish knob
EZ does it! 🤙
thats how i like them
What kind of rod are you using with the vanford again? I am interested in purchasing one of those rods that looks real sweet.

we can all look only from inside of our own head, only through our own eyes.
The slow vs fast fall rate video would be very interesting..
Is that an Iprimi? Have you tried Joe Robinson’s casts with it?
no, this is Abu Garcia Eradicator, tubular..

You going to make trout lures?
well... bluegill and crappie is my target, but i am sure they will work for trout
There’s not much content on YT on twitching ultralight jigs such as the BG-1, that might be a good video to make if you haven’t already…
i've been thinking about making such a video
@@ifishcatfish You should! I need such a video!
