It took me all day to get through this one while I was working, but I loved the long video! I already bought a couple floats on my last order, but I will buy some of the new colors the next time I place an order. I agree... You need to make your own plastics for sure! I appreciate everything you do buddy!
Really enjoy your enthusiasm about ultra fishing. I'm75 years old there wasn't place to get ultralight tackle I used a fly rod with spinning reel I had a nice French reel a micron. I would have never starting pouring my jigs 1/64 no.8 I am now going to order from victor
I am glad that you will come out with a new plastic. I look forward to one that fits the BG-1 jig like a glove like you say. I enjoy fishing with all the gear that you have. And I know that you will do the research and development before you will release the new plastic. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful in the spot were you fished.
hi Jim! Michigan is one of the few states in the entire country that can go toe-to-toe with TN for fishing background in my opinion.. but barely any others.. Here every state around me is getting flat and ugly
Regarding the clips Victor starts talking about @ 14:29, here's my take: With proper tools and good lighting, you CAN attach them yourself. My wife makes jewelry and using her mini/micro pliers, I am able to do the job. BUT.... it is a pain. I GUARANTEE you will go nuts attempting to attach them while you are on the water! I am now going to order all the black jigs with clips attached, as well as all the unpainted jigs I intend to leave unpainted. It is worth the money (to me, at least) to have Victor mount those little clips. I am going to see how well I can tape the clips so they remain black on the jigs I paint. I will then weigh whether it is more difficult to tape the clips for painting or add clips myself after I've painted the jigs.
well, yes, if ur wife makes jewelry she probably has a proper station with tools and lights and everything... but for average joe this would be a pain even if u young!
A smart move you made with your floats was making them in all those cool colors. It’s like collecting a set of something. I may not use 18 floats in 10 years but they look pretty damn cool in my collection! Plus if I’m out fishing and someone inquires about them I can spare one to help the business grow. Just not that red white and blue one that one is mine!
I enjoyed the rae video video, thankyou for sharing, love the gloves you make! (P.S) i was going to update you on the reel that got dunked for a few seconds , you where like a prophet, i thought it was going to be absolutley soaked, i opened up the sideplate today and took the rotor off, a few sprinkles of water between the frame and sideplate, and under the rotor, it was surprisingly dry like you said! Your video a while ago mentioning not turning the handle paid off! Put some of the grease that fell off back on the gears while it was open and feels just as good as before :) ❤
What is a good video on the ins and outs of using your products? I love your fishing philosophies from what videos I've seen. I am a newcomer to the site and need general guidance with respect to your products. Just a few videos as an introduction. Thank you.
On the actual website where i sell the products, at the end of the description, i always have the video where I explain how the product works. Also, i take the description of the product very seriously. All of the bullet points where i point advantages should be taken seriously. I don't say things like - it catches more fish. I say things like - the flat spot creates sensitivity, the cut on top of the jigs allows you to hide the eye of the hook and also to compress the shape of the hook, to leave more shank available for holding the lure and the fish. Also, if u scroll in the description, you can see two videos with just installations. But really, if u just keep watching, after a month or so u will hear everything i have to say about them..
Victor: Perhaps my favorite off the cuff comment you've ever made! "Woah. Huge turtle. Do you see this? I mean this thing is huge! Surfaced like a Russian submarine!" I laughed out loud for about a minute. The bad part about that was that my wife and two granddaughters had gone to bed, and I was laughing so loudly I was afraid I was going to wake them up. The turtle itself caught my attention. It really did pop up very quickly and his head was long and huge! I thought it was a bass jumping after bait initially. ...Funny you should mention the popularity of the 1.25 g floats. I have ONLY used the 1 g float with 1 g Bg-1's. (I do have the 1.25's but still have not needed to use them. I like the smaller size jig head with some smaller plastic offerings. After all, I am only using the float when twitching and swimming are NOT working!) I have NO issues fishing from the bank with that 1g float and 1g jig. I do use the 7' Presso as my float fishing rod.
too heavy, too much resistance, metal frame, not an ultralight reel at all! Better buy the Sahara - feels better than Stradic FC for Ultralight fishing
Hey, im new here interesting what you tell. I have a question fish with braide or monofilament I have olso a channel for Ultralight fishing only im from the Nederlands
I was hoping you could help me with my next JDM choice. I've been fishing saltwater aji-style in the SF bay for a little bit now, and have gotten the hang of twitching/lift and fall with aji jig heads/worms. The primary game here seems to be jacksmelt averaging much larger than the aji of the ports/marinas of japan. The fish have smaller mouths but I think the techniques carry over well given both are plankton eating pelagic species. I am using the Major Craft Aji-do 662L (1-3g solid tip), have caught small rockfish, Jack Smelt, and one 6lb striped bass (by accident). The rod is really good for working 1-1.5g jigheads in ideal conditions and is absurdly sensitive. Only that Striped bass has bent the rod. Negatives of the rod: actually casting it (doesn't load at all, steep learning curve), casting distance, and landing/fighting the fish. I think the jacksmelt i'm catching are consistently overloading the solid tip, but not bending the rest of the blank enough. I'm losing fish at the base the piers/embankments I'm fishing. I'm having trouble with this rod in the wind as well, i'm not able to manage the slack in the line effectively; and in San Francisco the wind is more often than not. I can't figure what to try next to develop an opinion of what i like and don't like in a l/UL rod. I have fished with a cheaper aliexpress trout rod, it was okay and a LOT more fun fighting the fish, but feeling the jig head in wind is not ideal. I'm not sure whether to try a tubular tip longer Aji rod, or a mebaru rod, or a more all-purpose rod. I've read through essentially every brand's marketing material at this point.
i feel you have watched my video on solid tip rods. Nobody was talking about such things before. No need to think about mebaru/shmebaru or any other category. Tubular tip is not enough in itself, as there are tubular tip rods that still have extra fast action. You want a tubular tip rod with regular fast or moderate fast action. Moderate fast means the that the whole rod will bend and load on the cast. The belezza UX i just reviewed, if u can find it is amazing. Also the Yamaga BLanks i reviewed is amazing for that. Also the 6'1 ML Presso Air AGS. Check these depending on length u need and color for matching

Victor… Excellent video…..
Your narration was spot on…
I appreciate you talking about your business and long term goals….
Keep on going on……
glad to hear a few people liked it. I think its good to have a few of these a year.. - just for the folks who are curious, obviously not for everybody
Well I just bought the monster pack of floats so it's good to know that I should be set for life! Really looking forward to a new technique.
Unless u give them away to friends.. which i would appreciate very much :)

fly rods have amazing blanks... as far as float fishing goes, it should work great
Finally… a decent size film ;) Thanks!

yup! However most people can't fight the urge to turn the handle to 'confirm' it works..

Do you have a preference on tying direct to jig vs using a clip? Also if tying direct to you use a loop knot or a snug knot?
i prefer clip, because loop knots take forever to tie and they are always tangly and messy and not strong.

Reel question for you. Vanquish 1000SSSPG or C2000S on a 7’4” edge ultralight rod?
dont know the rod, but C2000S if its that big. U can even go 2500 if u fishing for bass often. It will still look and feel good.
Is their a chance you can review the shimano stradic fm?
too heavy, too much resistance, metal frame, not an ultralight reel at all! Better buy the Sahara - feels better than Stradic FC for Ultralight fishing
@@ifishcatfish thanks I been searching all week for honest review of the stradic fm and read a lot of bad review, I got the 21 ultegra instead.
do you ever target smallmouth on ultra light? I used to do that a ton before I moved away from them and it was always a good fight
not specifically... but i catch them on TN river all the time. I've had days this summer with 30-40 bass in a day, and they all small
Hey, im new here interesting what you tell. I have a question fish with braide or monofilament

I hate braid. It feels horrible during the fight. Very rough on the fish and i cannot enjoy playing the fish
Don't worry about not selling more floats, I'm sure I'll keep loosing them in the trees 😅
well hopefully i will just get new customers instead of that : )
What is long ear?
google long ear sunfish. I can't pronounce the whole thing every time : )
