- How much work goes into creating a freeride mountain bike edit? I film a full length MTB trail with tricks, style and epic filming angles on UK's gnarliest freeride line with my Canyon torque, would you ride this line?
Me and Lewi Pilgrim take you on a journey behind the making of a mountain bike edit, we decided on the day to create a mini edit and thought that showing you how much work goes into it would give you a idea of how long it can take to create the magic you see on your screens. For today's video I was riding my Canyon torque freeride bike at the legendary windhill mountain bike park in the UK. This bike park is home to one of the most technical freeride jump lines in the UK which is filled with wooden features and big gaps, the sort you'd expect to see on slopestyle contests. We start the video by showing you behind the scenes, before revealing the final edit and finishing off with a chiller e bike session!! Would you ride here?

"liberal democracy" barely exists in reality around the world. Precious few countries could be classed as such and even then it's debatable - but probably not to be derailing a Sam Pilgrim thread with!
There's plenty of pseudo democracies out there with de facto dictators maintaining their grip for four decades plus. Votes with just one option on the ballot. Opposition leaders that go missing or pull out under influence. Ballot boxes marched door to door by armed press gangs making sure voters make the (far) right choice. etcetera etcetera...
Even our own system here in the UK (I get the impression you're from the US?*) has been engineered by the elite over centuries to maintain their monopolies, controlling the message the media they own spreads to the masses they keep wilfully ignorant enough to keep voting them back in, as they've been told Johnny Foreigner is to blame for all their ills. It's a wonder we've made any liberal progress at all in this country given what those fighting for change are up against.

4 hours to shoot the footage, and 8 hours + to edit it all together.. always respected the work that goes into these, epic as ever

I work as a care giver for my friend, he has very advanced parkinsons, and he loves your videos as they're a way for him to experience the outside world without leaving his house.
So today he's been having a bad day, and I can't seem to figure out why, but as soon as I got the notification for this video I says to him "Sam just posted another video " and he went from crying and upset to smiles and laughing.

This is a fine example of why Sam and Lewi's videos are so sick. Teaching the basics and making it so easy to follow.
You make it look like you have a team with 10 cameras all the way down the run. Turns out its just Lewi. Respect the hard work and dedication lads and to still keeping the banter up on long days of shooting.

great educational video... we keep hearing that if something looks v good and seems easy, a LOT of work went into it. but most of us can't really comprehend how much work it takes for a good 'simple 10 jumps video' :)

that was really cool, i always assumed there was a huge amount of work behind even a short edit. it's nice to see behind the scenes, as an artist i always really appreciate seeing other artists' creative process; there are as many valid ways to create as there are minds, and they're all beautiful in their own way.

That's a serious effort and awesome result too. Lewi and Sam showing that teamwork makes the dream work. Great seeing Lewi getting some sick action as well. I think riding with Sam and Chris together, Lewi will definitely be tested to the max, Chris is no slouch.
Let's just appreciate the trust that Sam and Lewi have in each other, Lewi accepts his brother will land without hitting him and Sam knows Lewi will get the epic shots resulting in us being thoroughly entertained.
