I made the Kraken retreat with a single balistic shot a few nights ago on Tactician, 16k damage from high ground. Had a lvl 21 non lone wolf ranger, fully buffed prior to the fight with something like 2,900 max damage and 135% crit chance lol. I love how crazy builds can get in this game.
Friendly tip for any minmaxers: There's currently a glitch with Fletcher Corbin Day that allows you to level any piece of gear up to level 18 without any need for mods. For some reason, unlike all other vendors, Corbin Day will automatically upgrade every item in his inventory to level 18 when you go from the Nameless Isle to Arx, including things that you sell him. This means that you can get a level 18 Lohar's Source Hammer, a level 18 An Mey Falin, a level 18 Vulture set, a level 18 Second Skin, et cetera. Interestingly, when it's done on the Ring of Intelligence, it increases the Int buff to +3 instead of +1, which makes it much better.
Yellow (unique) items increase the first buff they give you at specific levels Though, it is easier to see that through the Sourcerers Soundries sold by the sisters.
Apotheosis, Thick of the fight, Blood Storm and Grasp of the Starved... Does any stay alive after your necromancer turn? It seems other in party needs only for keep nerco alive and not CC'ed

I suck at this game so bad. It took me about 4 or 5 times to do this ... on story mode difficulty. It's the first game of this kind that I ever played but still, I wasn't expecting to be so bad at it.
@@Dickmaster-adam . If he was playing for the first time, lone wolf is the worse thing, while it is true Lone Wolf is equal to easy mode in the game, he would lose a lot of interaction, with companions and quests.
A good ballistic shot will do insane amounts of damage. I've nuked bosses with it before, fully buffed. Do you know if you can actually kill it here, as in KILL, not drive away...will it show up in the final boss fight of the game?

the squirrel lives when you keep it alive, if your squirrdel dies then it must have ran into some hostile surfaces. Either way, it doesn't matter if Sir Lora die or not, he will still come back as a ghost and follow the player like your case.
Is there anything the squirrel will do storywise? Because I remember some squirrel talking about the great acorn in the original version, right after you crash-landed in front of Arx. Unfortunately, I havent come this far on my actual playthrough though, and since nobody online seems to be able to figure it out, I worry I'll eventually miss it.
Was this fight added in the definitive edtion? because in the classic edition this fight never happens in act 3 unless I need to do a spesific sidequest to trigger it
Why savage sortilege on ifan? warfare skills already crit if you backstab with them. And why wits on 2 chars? if you have the most initiative with 1 character you're assured to get the third fifth and 7th turn in every round so initiative is useless on more that just 1 char, isn't it? Can't believe oneshotting that thing was possible good video
Wits because of crit. After you reach the cap on your primary attribute (strength, finesse or intelligence), wits is the obvious choice for more damage.
• Savage Sortilege on Ifan to make Bouncing Shield crit, it is taken for just that one purpose (If the build was a STR SnS, it would benefit Tentacle Slash as well). Given how strong it can be and there aren't much other talents that can work well with his build concept. Without it, his damage output potential will drop notably. • yes, beside Wits being a next focus stat for critchance, initiatve is still considered as a sub priotity stats, say: if 2 identical gear of same good bonuses but with different sub stat of +CON and +Intiative. You should still considering taking Initiative, because when a party not having a big difference in Initiative, it would be easier to control the party priority order by pre-buff Peace of Mind, letting the critical character acting first in a suitable encounter to his/her powers can yield better combat results.
sin tee In the discription Savage Sortilege is for spells (based on magic schools and Int, as I always thought), isn't it? Bouncing Shield isn't a spell..or I'm wrong?
it said magical skills not spells, and magical skills in context here mean caster/casting abilities, any damaging abilities that are not weapon-based will be affected by Savage Sortilege, even bombs.
they bleed cursed blood, not cursed ice, and they also have spells that associated with Cursing so that they can cursed their surroundings on their own. So the cursed ice only comes into place when one manage to cast it, if they jump on anything curse-able, they will be cursed, same for when they dies on anything curse-able, then the respective surface will become the cursed version of it.
The quest that gives Spider Kiss isn't party-wide but a personal quest for each playable characters. You can split your party and have one talking and following her to accept the Spider Kiss then let her go, repeat the steps for other members.
@@shintori2808 I has been years since i last played but I don't recall needing to do so, iirc i only spitted when she asked for the kiss, then talk to her with another character again once she returned. It couldn't hurt to save beforehand and try different things out on your end. Everyone have their own methods, so you could also look up google, reddit or the game wiki for their methods in the write-up or from wiki commenters right below.

I just finished my first playthrough and Kraken was for me personally the ugliest and most stupid thing in this game. This game has some mythical vibes and this Kraken looks like some snake from asian mythology (with those tendrils), totally no idea why name it Kraken. If this Kraken has such a long neck, then why does he have tentacles...? Its seemingly one enemy, but totally destroys some background for me. If this game wasn't difficult, and I would just run into this monster it would be like "must not laugh..., ugh..., uninstall game and try to forget"

It took me ages to realize your tank with a shield was actually running a dagger main hand and doing dope damage

never knew you could actually fight the kraken, for me it always just runs away as i run to the harbor.
