Daemon didnt laugh because to be disrespectful to his late wife. He laughed because Vaemond passive aggressively pointed out that rhaenyras children were illegitimate. Otto is now the hand again I almost missed it but it would make sense that allicent would bring her father back into the fold. Daemon is pissed and I don’t blame him. Lost his wife and after all these years after war and this stuff now you want me to come home? After the death of my wife only now you want me back. We see that everyone isn’t blind that those are not laenors children. Allicent in a way is somewhat guilty for strings death. Rhaenyra bout to give in to daemon again. Aegon got fucked up and it’s his own fault should have watched his mouth. Otto is proud bringing out that side of his daughter. Aemond is such a bitch bro he stole his cousins dragon. The day of the funeral how insensitive can you be. Then come in a gloat about it.. The only good person left is Laenor honestly. He is atleast trying after losing his sister he reDedicating hisself to his wife. And just then right after his sister dies so does he. But amazingly it’s a switch shaves his head and leaves to live a free life.

@@tsheporabekane4172 Daemon knows his kids are okay, they werent the focus, the real rift was between the boys, plus Rhaenys already was looking out for them, also you got to remember, Daemon hasnt seen any of these people in 10 years, he doesn't know what the atmosphere is like right now and who hates who and etc. He needed to sit and watch to get the full scope of what's been going on. That's also why he was off to the side at the funeral as well, he was scoping everybody out and observing, much like he always does.

Rhaenyra is a law break for having those illegitimate heirs. Alicent’s #1 problem is jealousy. Period. It’s turned into bitterness & anger, but she justifies her own feelings with exactly what Rhaenyra said, “a cloak of her own righteousness”. Her goal now is to never allow Rhaenyra to have the throne because she has justified in her own mind that Rhaenyra isn’t worthy of it. Even though what she & her family are doing couldn’t be more immoral & horrific. They think it’s just if it keeps her off the throne. That’s why I can’t stand her & saw that mess happening from the very first episode. I’ve been team Rhaenyra from the start. I know they are grey characters that all do bad things but I can’t stand girls like Alicent. She’s the reason why I’d never even work for a woman again. They exist in real life & Rhaenyra’s character is so much more relatable to me. You can tell that she seriously doesn’t even really understand why Alicent hates her so much.
Don’t forget Alicient trusted Rhaenyra so much that she even went against her own father for accusing Rhaenyra of not being maiden anymore… ofc once Alicient found out the truth.. she been looking at Rhaenyra completely different. I also relate to Alicient for that. If I give someone my word and trust that person to the point where I’d go against my loved ones word for theirs.. that’s absolute trust.. but if I find out the truth from someone else and that they lied to me the whole time. But Alicent went behind Rhaenyra's back and started an affair with Rhaenyra's father. How can Alicent ever look down at Rhaenyra after doing that? imo rhae is the villain of the show, but the writers tricked most ppl with her 'heroics'
from the first scene, rhae has been by far the most selfish character. she didnt care about anyone or anything including the throne. she was riding a dragon during her mum's painful pregnancy and didnt show any empathy there, always late for her dad's meetings/speeches, alicent was her 'friend' but she never did much for her (at least alicent tried to teach rhae)
rhae went on to screw ser criston without caring about his future (she knew she would be fine). then she had bastard kids that literally could start a war

I think, in the last episode when Alicent,Aemond and Helaena were together (after being teased with the pig) Alicent told Aemond that on day he would have a dragon and Helaena whispered while playing with the centipede, "he'll have to close an eye first." This episode Helaena referenced the coming war, "Hand turns loom (Otto/Lary's?), spool of green (Alicent), spool of black (Rhaenyra), dragons of flesh weaving dragons of thread (Dragons fighting in the sky maybe killing each other?).
Ser Cristen Cole may not like Rhaenyra but even he just not whiling to cut out a child's eye. People say Lary's is creepy and you can't trust him but he's smart and rides firmly with team Alicent. Lary's is also showing growth cause he "ask" if she wanted the eye, old Lary's would have just went an got it thinking it would make her happy.🤣🤣 An to be fair to Aemond in that fight it was 4 on 1 when he grabbed that rock. Visery got the nerve to tell Daemon that his "daughter are the vary image of their mother" but can't see it in Rhaenyra children.

Alicent was wild for wanting the eye of Rhaenyra son in return, but you can't deny that she has every right to be angry about her son losing his eye. I mean as a parent, wouldn't _you_ want justice for that? It didn't have to be an eye, but Rhaenyra's son _should_ have seen some form of retribution for this. A broken nose can be repaired, a lost eye is simply lost, and no matter how rude Aemond was, the bottom line is, he _was_ assaulted _first_ . _Then_ he got jumped by those kids who were mad he bonded with Vhagar (he didn't steal her because dragons are not property, anyone can attempt to bond with Vhagar since Laena is gone). The kids were falsely accusing him of theft and then attacked him over harsh words. He fought back. Then lost an eye.
Alicent was right to demand justice, and Viserys was wrong to ignore that. He's weak, and biased against his wife and children who aren't Rhaenyra. He ignores problems he doesn't want to face, and he does it all because he has no spine. People hate on Alicent for this, but I hate the king more than anything. I love that many, many reactors are picking up on the theme of parents passing on their feuds, hatreds, prejudices, biases, etc to their children. Thank you truly for being keenly perceptive and extrapolating that specifically from the narrative. The writers have made it a point to specify the generational passage of anger and hate as one of the primary themes of this series. Sarah Hess has probably mentioned it the most. It just delights me that her, GRRM, Ryan Condal, and the rest are succeeding so far.

Pay attention to Alicent's daughter Halaena. She is definitely a dreamer. Remember in Episode 6 when Alicent told Aemond he’ll get a dragon one day? Helaena said “He’ll have to close an eye.” Also in this episode Helaena was playing with a spider and repeatedly said “Hand turns loom, spool of green, spool of black, dragons of flesh, weaving dragons of thread.” So she's predicting the Black Vs. Green conflict in her Targaryen family! So Helaena predictions are coming true. 😉
