I have one and love it ! We did roadside assistance and it will jump off 35 cars before it needs recharging. I also jump off a van I was thinking of buying the battery was took out I was able to jump off the van and test drive with no battery in it !
I found that if you turn it to the run position and back off (without turning over) it will start easier in cold weather, I think It’s building a better prime in the fuel system. I just wait until I hear the fuel pump kick on then back off and do that a few times before I turn it over.
I bought the jnc660 months ago just to carry in my truck and use around the yard. Haven't used it myself but my neighbor has a 4wd F250 v8 with a bad tranny. He was trying to get to start it up to sell it but it would barely click. I asked him to try this out and it started after a few attempts. Cranked longer than I expected and didn't give up. I trust it now. Hope I never need it but it will always be in my truck now.
I just bought one of these off the Snap-On truck (payed waaay too much, but that's not the point) and it fired my arthritic old 350 right up after it had been sitting dead for about a week. Prior to buying this jumper (the 660) I went through 3 other jumpers and all of them were unable to do more than make the starter click a few times and just barely get the motor to turn over. I haven't even charged this thing fully yet - just using it right off the truck with the juice it had in it. The other chargers had been fully charged. Anyhow, I finally have some confidence that this thing, along with a quick disconnect for the negative battery cable should keep me out of trouble as far as getting the starter to crank and getting juice to the plugs.
I drive a 379 flattop peterbilt with 4 batteries in it and I forgot to turn my clearance lights off for 2 days and I had the jnc in my pickup so I figured I'll try it for shits and giggles and low and behold it fired my pete up, went and bought a second 1 that I keep in my pete now
Mine starts Harleys (not balanced load like a V8 quite nicely. I've used JNC 660s for many years and customer service rocks too. You can get all the parts including replacement batteries.
If the battery is dead why is it turning over and every time you get the kids still turned over not making any sense to me sounds like the meat something's wrong with the motor not the battery and the reason why I don't started so cold needs a good tune-up but anyway have a nice day God bless🙏
Pouring warm water on a battery in winter weather before apying any form of jump start is the best way. Also after doing so cycle the battery before jumping by switching on and off the headlights for 30 seconds. ASE Master Mechanic
The negative terminal of the battery is connected to the frame of the vehicle so electrically, there is no difference in where the jump pack negative clamp is placed. Some people recommend connecting the ground clamp away from the battery to prevent a potential spark from igniting any gasses that might be present in the vicinity, but this battery was not off gassing so there was no risk.
@@GuyinWY another safety reason for negative terminal to be attach to the body is. during winter time if the battery is completely dead, the liquid inside the battery gets frozen. and in that case if u connect the portable battery directly to the car battery terminal, there will be potential for the battery explosion.
It doesnt wanna start because youre low on gas. Put gas in the carb and make sure to pump the hell outta the pedal. Works everytime for me. And I live in Minneapolis where it has been 12 to 15 below on a consistent basis recently
The chassis is connected to the battery via the negative cable. Hooking straight to the battery eliminates any problems that may be in the ground cable. If you have a draw on your electrical system then that “live load” may cause a spark when the circuit is completed by connecting the last clamp from the jump pack, and if your battery has released an excessive amount of hydrogen that spark at the terminal could ignite said gas but the likelihood of that is nearly impossible to determine on an “across the board” basis. Take the risks you’re comfortable with, avoid the ones you aren’t.
Have you heard the good news of Jesus Christ? The good news is Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15 1-4) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
The jnc did its job. You have other issues like the cold weather for example.. I have the 660 and it has a pair 👍👍

U got other issues

I've used mine on a bunch of stuff, including an M11 Cummins. It's turned them all over so far.

The JNC 660 started your semi?
@@A-Mafia313 yes sir
Fuel lines might be frozen or fuel filter has frozen water in it. What was the cause? This is 3 years old.

awesome. battery wasn't dead at all.
What does the charger look like? The one that plugs into the male plug in front ? I wanna charge it in my house
Built-in charger. Just plug the extension cord in to the protruding male prongs
@@staind288it sounds like a dumb question for sure but I was a bit confused lol. Thanks ! 😊
Can I leave it in the car for extended time in a NY weather?
It's best to keep in a warm place. Maybe keep it by the door so you can remember to grab it on your route to work in the mornings.
Typical Ford... I know I owned one and when it’s cold the POS has trouble starting so I bought a Chevrolet pickup and never a problem in the cold
I have a 1996 f250...5.8 and live in Minnesota where we get to 40 below in the winter...my truck always started...take car of your vehicles
I have a 07 chevy 04 denali in mn never have issues unless they sit more than 3 days. New alt new battery's in both
Hook the ground cable to the engine, NOT the battery.
Why
I have the same one is beautiful works great

That truck should have started without the jump. Try tuning it before you blame everything else. NEGLECT on your part.
That jump pack is good your truck is bad
I have a JNC 660 and when my suv battery died today at the gas station, it did not start it .... because it was in my basement. >=(
Get the JNC318 by Jump & Carry it will heat the battery up for jumping in colder weather and will jump a V8 Engine

You have it connected wrong. The black cable should be grounded not hooked up to the battery

Did you say "guy in Y" or "guy NY". You're not in Gizmo territory are you? :) Like the jumper.
I'm staying a bit west of NY if at all possible. :)
It can crank a diesel

Um. You realize it's fuel injected and there isn't a carburetor, right?
if it wasnt a ford it would have that thing would have started 6 or 8 chevys by now lol
Lol, love it!
The ground goes on the chassis bro....what's the matter with everyone
