    Very nice ;-) Since the Ecosport is now AWD instead of FWD, it isn't even dolly towable. That leaves it still find for the back of an HDT north-south as an alternative to the Jeep for old people's comfort. We are then considering our best 35" or under 5W floorplan to keep us shorter overall.. I was struggling to find anything that had a decent computer workstation for those of us needing connectivity (We manage 13 campgrounds for the USFS for our concessionaire employer). Then I realized that the truck itself has a great office environment already just waiting for those Zoom meetings. Now just have to work on the accessibility issue for old folks needing knee replacements, some of those with YT channels are being interrogated as we speak. Back to my homework ... -Dave

      Hello Dave,
      SECRET REVEALED = NEW STEPS!
      I have a possible solution for the Volvo steps issue. This isn't on my public channel, but here is a link to view custom steps we manufacture. Super grippy surface, never rusts, lightweight but handles up to 350 lbs. We can also paint-match to the color of the RVHauler!

    Another beautiful truck Greg, thank you for the video.
    Two questions, if you please. What bumper is that? I have the same bumper sans fog lights, and I do not know the name. I love it, hit a Buffalo two hours south of Whitehorse and it took it without even denting! Love it.
    Second, will you please show the Jeep hauler build? I have a 2013 VNL730 HDT with a Jeep, and I would love to see what you do differently.
    Thank you, and best wishes.
    Brian
    I lied, one more question, would you consider coming to the HDT Rally in Kansas next year? Or there is a possible rally next summer in Montrose Colorado. It would be great to see you and perhaps hear a presentation on your company’s philosophy, form and function.
    Cheers

At this point in my plans, I am unable to attend this next upcoming event as I have family plans booked far in advance that will conflict. However, I haven't heard about the possible Montrose Colorado Rally. Do you know when it will be? Maybe send me an email with information?

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  Год назад

      Hi Dennis,
      The limitation is usually the trailer ball (or pintle hitch) that you choose to use. Class V is usually up to 20,000 lbs.
      There are some three inch trailer balls that go up to 25,000 lbs when combined with a Class V.
      Pintle can go higher.

      All of our units are titled as motorhomes when they leave my dealership. You need a license to operate a two axle motorhome with air brakes. Picture your diesel pusher - same license!

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  Год назад +1

      Hi there, and thanks for the question. We place every axle according to the bed length, what we are carrying, weight distributions, and expected trailer pin weights. They can be setup quite differently from RVHauler to RVHauler. As well, we have to re-manufacture the driveshafts. The yokes are different sizes between the power divider axle, and the main rear drive axle.
      Thanks,
      Gregg

    • @rvhaulers

      Hi Tim,
      We can go with either the tandem or single axle for our purposes. We can start with a tandem, optionally convert it to single axle, or sometimes there are a few rare already-single axle trucks out there!

      He did say it was 550 horse, and that is a big engine tune for a light load. That said, you will have the power going through the mountains that most folks would not. It sure is nice pulling away from the crowd going up the hills.

      Hi Kevin,
      I have have had the pleasure of driving ALOT of RVhaulers over the years. I'm a guy. I like what I like, and I personally like BIG HP and BIG TORQUE. Yeah, sometimes that testosterone just appears in the bloodstream, and you put your foot down - JUST BECAUSE. Yup, I can climb that mountain pass at 70 MPH passing every darn little pickup and car on the road. My wife shakes her head, and lets me be me. (But not for too long)
      I get why some owners just like the big monster under the hood. When we want to wake up that 535 HP monster and bring it to life, ooooooh, yeah.
      I've worked hard, I've paid for the fuel, and for minute or two on my trip, I WAKE THE MONSTER under the hood.
      Then, smile ear to ear.
      Ok, I'm done having my little mid-life crisis. Back to work. Sigh.
