Just keep the Seamaster. In the long run you’ll regret selling it. The clout doesn’t worth it. If you really want the Speedy, then in time you’ll get it. Be patient. It’s a want and not a need.
I agree as well. Keep your Seamaster it’s been with you for so so long. Since I followed and sub to your channel (over a year) you always talk great about your Seamaster. I saved money to acutely buy the exact dial and seamaster you own. It’s my dream watch. At the end of the day it’s your decision. I just feel like it’s a hard choice to let your baby go.
You have no idea whether he’ll regret it or not. If he wants to sell it then he will, he’s a big boy.

Great review. I looked at Speedies and could never choose between Hesalite for originality or sapphire sandwich for looks, and ultimately never bought one. Now Omega has made the decision for me - I'll purchase one of these to complement my Great White SMP. WRT bracelet vs strap, it's bracelet for the colder months and rubber in the warmer months. If I ever get to 50m of depth I'll have bigger problems than the water resistance of my watch.

Harrison keep the SMP - it’s a beast of a daily. You cannot go wrong and I’m 99% certain you’ll regret letting it go. All the crazy things you’ve done with that by your side.
What I’d do is sell your other pieces and get the Speedy and have them as your 2. And what a pair!!

I own the Omega Great White GMT and I’ll hopefully add this for a great 1-2 punch. I’d keep your SMP and somehow get the speedy.

Not at all. 1 cm3 of steel weighs 7.8 grams. So, that's 10 x 10 x10 mm or 1000 mm3. 12 indices of appr. 0.5 x 0.5 x 3 mm are far less than that in volume and weight: 9 mm3 to be precise. So these 12 indices weigh 0.07 grams altogether.
This might be the best white dial watch out there, definitely getting myself one

On the wrist is a Bamford B347. I went to an Omega Boutique event last night and got hands on with this piece and it looks amazing on the wrist. It’s a really wearable size.

I was looking at pulling the trigger on the black one this summer when I retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years. I had tried on the black one and love the feel and was blown away by the iconic nature of this watch but the black face didn’t blow me away because already have some black watches and actually been shopping for a white or blue watch, then this drops. I can’t stop looking at the white face and think I may save a little longer, try this one when available and maybe pull the trigger if available when I officially retire on 1 Aug.

The white dial looks great on the new speed-master. The watch that Daniel Craig was wearing. Was actually a white gold version of the new speedy.
It’s a great looking watch. I’d trade your Seamaster 300 for this is it’s more iconic and lighter on the wrist so more comfortable. But I’m a Speedie fan. I’ve been wearing my 321 all day and went into the boutique where they had one. I’ve always thought the classic black dial with sapphire crystal is the most legible but this white dial is equally easy to read and arguable pops with its touches of red and brightness of the white dial. I think it’s a winner and decent alternative to the Daytona that is never available. The 3861 co-axial movement is better and you can see it. You might not be able to go diving like the Rolex - tho some people do in their Speedies - but if you want to go playing rough wear a G-Shock not a premium watch.
Just keep the white Seamaster for the beach. That's my plan!

Don't switch, they are different watches with different uses in mind. You should defo buy the new white dial moonwatch, but keep seamaster too. Winner combo, that will both be strap monsters.
Hello and thanks for this video. Two iconic watches with black dials were wished by fans with white ones : Omega's Speedmaster Professionnal and Rolex's Explorer 1. So, Omega did first, and did it really well. This chrono is beautiful.

Wrist check Seamaster 300 heritage. The white dial looks fantastic. It's going to be a hard decision to choose between this and a Speedmaster 57
I had one in hand at the OB this weekend. It’s absolutely beautiful. That dial looks incredible in person. Perfection. Even my wife noted it’s objectively more beautiful and sturdy than the IWCs, Rolexes, and Cartiers we’ve been handling. I put down a deposit and expect to pick it up in the Fall.
I was hesitating between the black BLACK BAY58, the white SEAMASTER 300M and the SPEEDMASTER. Having tested the BLACK BAY on the wrist, I found it too small for my wrist. Moreover, it didn't give me any particular emotions. until a few days ago I was hesitating between the SEAMASTER and the SPEEDMASTER. But since the white SPEEDMASTER came out, I think I can treat myself to one next September before OMEGA decides to drastically increase its price. So it's better to take your time before buying the watch of your dreams.
The Speedy is iconic. This white dial variation is indeed very cool. However I’d hang on to a Seamaster I already had in the collection. If I had neither, then it would be a different choice.

The extra weight probably comes primarily from the applied metal (white gold?) hour markers.
I have a vacation coming up this summer where I have $7500 saved for a vintage ref. 16570 that I was meaning to pick up when I go back home to Japan because I really need/want a white dial watch. However now that this came out I'm back to square one on what I want lol. I just love the white/red contrast, I'm almost a sucker for it. The 16570 as old as it is still has way better water resistance meaning I won't have to be concern about jumping into the falling into the pool or getting wet with it on.
This is why you buy the full black Seamaster professional 300 and then the White dial Speedmaster professional 😎
I’m in the same boat and trying to resist.. I have the white dial SMP and have thought about selling it for the white dial Moonwatch but I’ll probably hold out and catch it pre owned or just the black dial. Don’t want to give up my SMP

I have my Omiwatari up for sale to help pay for it, but now I've seen this, I've majorly had my head turned and am now thinking about waiting for this. I have the MK40, as I wanted to be different lol, but now I feel I can now keep that and add this to a3-4 watch collection, which would be this, the mk40, the FXD blue dial and my Rolex Explorer 1 MK2. Interesting to hear that you are considering changing also, as I know how much you love your Seamaster. This hobby eh!!

Add this to your collection when you can, but it does not replace the SMP for you - you do too much hiking and adventuring for a 50m WR chronograph. The SM was your first love, keep it even as a semi-"beater" but I think you'd really regret parting with it...
Wrist check: 2022 Omega Aqua Terra gray dial with blue second hand, presently on an Uncle Seiko 1035. My alternate bracelet is a navy Artem sailcloth loopless with the Omega deployant.
I love the Seamaster but only in its blue variant. If you are going with a white dial Omega , the Speedmaster is the way to go; it looks more elegant, classy and it's way more iconic.
Hi Harrison - on first look I was not convinced but after going home and watching both your and Britt's videos on this watch I am now getting a serious itch to drop into my local Omega Boutique on Bahnhofstrasse 😀. What I will say though, as an owner of both a Speedmaster Reduced and a Seamaster 300 (White/Black Rubber/Bracelet(never worn)) is PLEASE don't get rid of the White Seamaster. It became such a loyal friend of my wrist so quickly and is definitely one of my watches that I would simply be heartbroken without. I still can't stop admiring it after almost 1 year. Just my opinion though ;)

Saw it in person last weekend. It's a beauty. A boutique in Tampa, FL indicated it would probably be about a 1 month waitlist to get one. Didn't seem too bad compared to that other brand.
Friendly advice. Do not replace your seamaster with the speedmaster. You are going to regret it. Be patient and in the future buy the speedy and make an amazing duo!

7:19 I would say keep the smp300 white, sell the other ones you have. Diver for bunch of sport activities, speedy for office/event usage. If you insist on selling that smp300, then I might suggest to get another cheaper diver while owning the speedy.

on the wrist a sumariner 2024. in the 80's we loved the white dials in car's but was quickly outdated. Question is, do i like it over 3 years?
Get the new white Speedy, but also keep the Seamaster ! Both watches serve different functions and complement each other well. Let go one of your other pieces if needed.
Wait before you sell your Seamaster. I would definitely keep the Seamaster as it is more of an adventurer’s watch then save up for whatever and if the desire has remained as vivid and strong maybe buy the Speedmaster but later.

The dial is probably the reason for the extra 2 grams, imo. This really throws a wrench in my collection my next watch was a speedmaster professional and now I have no idea which one to get, black or white. Wearing a black face bb58.
I also own a white dial Seamaster and immediately put it on when I got home from work.
As much of a "placeholder" as my Seamaster was, when I got it, to me, it feels like the watch I would regret selling most, if I ever did sell it.
I like that new Speedmaster White dial. My only sacrifice would be giving up the date indicator. I don't swim or go in large bodies of water with watch enough to complain about water resistance. I would have to make sure I wind it every 2 days.
I'm wearing my BB58 at the moment. I'm finding it really, really, really difficult to choose between the black and the white one. I'm leaning towards the white one at the moment!

First I wanted the Speedmaster, I spent days watching videos, now I've settled on the Seemaster 300 because it looks really cool with the black dial and the rubber, Tia, and now this one in white, guys, what can I say, it looks amazing in the pictures here. I’m wearing my BB Pro and as others have mentioned, keep the White Seamaster and wait a bit so you can end up with both the white Speedy and the equally white Seamaster. They’ll make a killer 2 watch combo!

The thing which I really don’t like with Omega is to announce and release watches then one has to wait months prior to be able to see it in Boutiques. I feel all Boutiques should at least have a sample available for prospective customers to see the day after the announcement / release. Ideally Boutiques and AD should have a minimum stock for sale though. I bet that this would drive sales up too !
They needed to do what Zenith did and make this version smaller 40m or even better 39m.The white dial makes the watch look bigger and this is already a huge watch.People will compare this to the Rolex Daytona but next to the Rolex the Omega looks massive.

Honestly, from what I remeber, you love seamaster 300 because of sentimental value... so i would just keep it. Saved up and one day just go get the speedy if the magic is still there... there is no rule stating that you are not allow to own 2 amazing white dial watch 😏

It looks and wears smaller than the black dial speedy in person - it also felt somewhat lighter
So I saw a photo of this watch earlier today on FB and then now on your channel, I currently have 4 Omegas in my collection, a 1957 Seamaster in gold which was my late fathers, a Planet Ocean, a Worldtimer and the exact same watch you have on now but with an Omega rubber strap with a deployment clasp. I am going to talk to my AD right after typing this and inquire about this new Speedmaster and I will probably trade in the Seamaster Diver 300m too.
I have the black dial SMP. I switched with my boss who has the black speedy. I hated it. I never wore it, it reminded me of old men, and had crap lume and just looked old even though it was a new model. We traded for 6 months and every month all I wanted was my water resistant trusty sturdy beat the sh&t out of all diver specs SMP back. This new white speedy is absolutely beautiful, but to answer you specifically, don't give up the white SMP for it. Try to get both.

I have a Blancpain Barakuda on. This white Omega is brilliant as I’ll be getting one yeah! One can literally wear this out in public and not get mugged, maimed, or killed or a combination of said harm, as one would be wearing a White Rolex Daytona!

Switch something else (or two) and keep the Seamaster. You need its indestructable robustness and water resistance. And you'll have wonderful white examples of Omega's two most iconic models!

For me personally I really this new white variant , I’d definitely try to purchase a black and also a white rubber trap for it .
My guess is if you sold the SMP for this new Speedmaster you’ll enjoy it, but you’re scratching a very similar itch at the end of the day. Both have that Omega design language. After a few months, you’re kind of back where you started. To sone extent it’s a very lateral move and you haven’t seen the watch on your wrist yet.
That said, a bit biased when it comes to white dials, they are rarely my jam. I doubt this is exactly what lots of people have been waiting for

Get it but keep the Seamaster. Your whole persona matches the Seamaster and when you want to be fancy or just take a nice drive wear the speedy.
