Honestly for me wasn't stressing taming one. And I want tame more, event colors ofc. The fish that attacks the school spawns on purpose like the waves of the missions. The fishies that are around don't even notice the school :) Being a mini game it acts like a mini game :D
The one thing I love about the new DLC is the new methods to tame creatures instead of just knocking and feeding there's little differences like the blood stalker you give it blood from blood bags I can't wait to see more creatures like this in the next release in winter
The turtle one sounds good on paper but ingame it is a whole load of BS. Wether you get/complete a tame should depend on skill/preparation. It should not depend on having to finick 5 times to get a school attached to the turtle, then 10 min later you watch helplessly as a salmon is practically stuck between the legs of the turtle eating the fish because the turtle decided to randomly swim in coral and get stuck. Or the turtle charges to another are and the school gets eaten because now you suddenly you have to prevent 2-3 megs from trying to eat the turtle/ And do you keep some effort if the school gets eaten? nah bro that taming is pretty much dropped by the time you can get another school to it
@@charchadonto yeah they need to decrease the damage that the fish do to the swarm, make it to where if the turtle is hit it DOESN'T rest or hurt the taming itself only the effectiveness. And if the turtle were to actively try to stay in open water that would be nice too
In case anyone doesn't want to make this so insanely difficult use a bloodstalker. Set it to follow your water mount. Keep it in water walk mode. Whistle attack on the salmon. It will reel them out immediately. Better than swimming around like a maniac trying to shoot fish with a spear gun.

I think having specific breeding stations for the genesis creatures in different biomes would be pretty cool, like the Magmasaur has one, make one for bloodstalkers in the bog, megachelon for ocean obviously, idk if you can breed astrocetus and one for ferox. Idk if it has a big use though lol.
Not quite how it works. The only threat is a sabertooth salmon. But the specific salmon spawns in every now and then and goes to town on the fish. It is very hard to hit the salmon for some reason, but it can't hit the megachelon. It will slowly reduce the amount of parakeetfish and slow down taming a lot until it stops completely if the swarm is dead. You'll then have to get another swarm. If you do end up losing taming due to it getting hit it was most likely you yourself that hit it trying to get rid of the salmon. On losing aggro on the schools. Stay closer to the swarm. It's aggro radius is very small, going outside of that and you lose aggro really fast.
“The only threat is the saber tooth salmon” I’ve seen coel eat my parakeet fish before. So to be safe, I just kill any small fish that looks like it might be swimming towards my megachelon.
Syntac, the easiest way to tame these is to use genesis built in aim bot dino. The blood stalker. You can grapple the fish and don't risk hitting the turtle at all
What nobody has said once from what Ive seen is that the taming resets when the Turtle takes damage. The panicking made me cringe and fear for the first times my friend and I did this. You will always get 100% effectiveness.
Be careful using cryopods around the turtle if you have a base on it because you will pick it up and all of the structures will disappear and anything the structures will also disappear
If you have to take another one, the way I tamed mine worked pretty easily. If after you get the swarm on the turtle you hop on a bloodstalker with spider vision, you can see what fish spawn in and are going for you swarm and just grab them with the web like you're fishing. You do have to be water walking looking down though.
I used one of those arch-type islands to make a base by lining up a bunch of turtles up under it so I can cross. I like turtles. The taming killed me :')
Think I already said this but you don’t need to use a chair to regain stamina, if you just sot still for awhile it goes back up slowly. Only in the ocean biome though.

I tamed a level 140 yesterday and with 3 parakeet fish nearby and I led one over and left to get another, and I came back to see it tamed. So maybe when you leave the area you don’t have to do the mini game, but it still tames
Hey Syntac, I doubt you'll do this but if you add in the upgrade station mod I bet you can break down the items you get from the missions. Like the endless amounts of titanosaur saddled.
Dude u just need a bloodstalker to drag the fish out of water and if you move sideways while doing it, the fish will die from being outside the water and you will not get the cooldown
i would try to utilize s+ turrets, since they can target specific creatures and you can set them to shoot everything except the megachelon and fish swarms
For the name you should name it "Mega Blastoise" because it is a MEGAchelon and because it blasts out bubbles and its cyan so it meets all requirements

Tip- Clearing the fish when taming is really easy with a bloodstalker, you just pull the fish and they die when reaching the surface

Remember that it can climb really good, looks buggy but you could climb most islands in the ocean biome.
