Pawns wouldn't let in someone with a locked and unloaded firearm but supposedly have no problem allowing up to twenty people with knives and box cutters into the cabin.
Nice to see other folk reporting on the same kind of issues that I discuss all the time, too. I'm so glad that you were able to maintain composure and also tell other people about it. All the best to you, and your builds look utterly amazing!
Thank you for the kind words. I was definitely more shocked than composed. It just never occurred in my mind that being polite and following the rules in a setting like this wouldn't work out. It's put some perspective on how I view things
@@DWAIvideos the real kicker is that every airport is different, as you discovered. Not just every airline... It's very possible that even if you were flying home on American you would have gotten perhaps no trouble at all at the other airport even possibly with staff exclaiming that people in your origin city were crazy. The variation from one airport to the next or even one staff shift to the next can be infuriating.
@@DeviantOllam oh yeah I totally understand. I said I wouldn't fly American airlines again as sort of a knee jerk reaction. But I don't really enjoy flying with them anyways, they're usually just cheaper. Luckily I've done it enough times to know the rules but I can definitely see someone newer to this really getting jerked around and suffering due to poor customer service and personalities. Hopefully that is the take away for whoever watched the story.
dang dude sometimes in life you get set back after set back, but the end result is satisfying. Thank you so much for pushing through that awful day and made an epic video for everyone to enjoy
As someone who flies with “stuff” a lot, Southwest is the GOAT when it comes to flying with “stuff”. Never had any issues with them. I also bought a Pelican case that’s oversized so it doesn’t end up on the carousel and instead ends up in the airline office of the destination which makes it very secure. They’ll give me a ticket at the departing counter as proof of verification to give to the destination’s office and they’ll give me my stuff. Really neat method if you wanna limit the risk of your stuff exchanging hands more than it needs to.
Yeah I've never had an issue with bringing weapons to check in before. This was just a really weird situation that I think stems more from personality and politics rather than the whole concept at large. I'm not saying the airlines or TSA are perfect but generally they respect weapons and they take them pretty seriously when it comes to transporting them. Funny story I was flying Alaska once with a checked in rifle and I think the concierge marked weapon on my status during check-in and so the crew in the airplane thought I was carrying and asked me for identification thinking I was a Marshall or federal agent
Y'all ever notice how if anything has "American" or "Unites States (of some kind)" in it it's going to be shit? e.g: American Airlines, USPS, hell, not even companies. Just general terms like "American Healthcare" or "American Fast Food" and it's suddenly terrible. ...or is it just me?
You have a point and it's definitely NOT just you. It's almost like they know they're shit so they have to throw in "American" or "US" to save some kind of face.

Sorry this stuff happened to ya man. I'm hoping things work out for you so you have smooth flights in the future. Can't wait for your next podcast!

That's a crazy story dude thanks for sharing! i hope to one day be able to buy the AR and the BR or at least use it at a range
Super cool to see you getting that collab, congrats man.
this whole kerfuffle sounds like the same thing that happened with DeviantOllam, but that was with delta airlines
A friend actually just told me about that. I need to look into the details
Also I love that you used "kerfuffle"
This sounds like it belongs in @DeviantOllam flying with guns stories.
Sorry that happened to u bro, hope your next colab starts off more smoothly
you could try making the halo magnum, i dont think that has been down yet
There's a couple renditions with glocks on RUclips. I would make one but it would have to be with a desert eagle to do it justice I think
From The clip that you collab you’re so cool mann
you deserve a sub from me
🙏🏼🙏🏼 tyty appreciate you!
Sucks to hear that you got such petty treatment from AA. Their flights tend to be the cheapest, and so their personnel tend to reflect that quality.
Yeah. They also have the crappier airplanes too from my experience.

It's just you.
Reminds me of when people name product with "mil-spec" or "military grade"

Hey bro do you sell the kits to add on to that kel tec??
I do want to
Just a comment for the algorithm
Hey! Do you think it would be possible to make Airsoft aeg versions of all the Halo guns??? I always wanted a good airsoft battle rifle
It is, and I would probably start with the RDB AEG with battle rifle kits. Just stay tuned to see when we might make a run.
@@DWAIvideos no doubt!!! I'll be there 😀

Love that the story ended well. Classic BS bureaucracy.
