Hiya. There are a lot of reports of the mosfet frying with 11.1v lipos and I would say to anyone generally not to use the 11,1v in general anyways. My footage with it was with 7.4v lipo and it was rapid at that, if you then put in a better quality high speed motor it would go up again and get close to the performance of the 11.1v but without the stress on the mosfet. I did do a disassembly, here is the link: ruclips.net/video/YIYpV92H8_0/видео.html Pheas
From what I’ve seen, it’s mostly large 11.1 batteries that will fry the gun, and the symptoms of its failure are usually pretty obvious from the onset (double tapping, dry firing). Hello Pheas, I wanted to ask a serious question, I am new to mosfets and didn't want to spend a ton on something I just need for a gun I plink around the house with. I was thinking about the perun hybrid or the gate aster. My gun is identical to this gun you are reviewing. Can you give me any advice on a mosfet? Thanks so much
Thanks for the comment, that is more my advice because of the crazy rate of fire and suggesting if you want to keep it running nicely for longer then a 7.4v battery is more than enough, an 11.1v will give you an insane rate of fire, but potentially shorten the life span of the gearbox before it fails, plus you mags may not keep up with the speed of the gearbox to feed properly.

Kill House in Leeds is good, but can be painful at close ranges, but a good set of guys. Their sister site "The Creek" is also well run and a good laugh, this is Huddersfield way. Fear Masters Airsoft is good on the outskirts of Wakefield City centre, I haven't been myself but hear good things about it, and its run by the guy who own the store Urban Airsoft, really nice set of people. A bit further a field I have played regularly at Skirmish Airsoft Mansfield which is a paintball site doing Airsoft games, if you want the Call of Duty style play (fast paced run and gun games) then this is for you, I like a day here, I also love Humber Airsoft, again a bit of a trek but well worth it, the site is great and very well run! Hiya, thanks for the question. I'll be honest and say they will all perform in a very similar way. They are all varients of Airsoft M4s so the internals will be very similar too, I think it has to come down to what do you like the look of most. If you can it would be good to go and hold each one and see how they feel and use that to make your decision. At the end of the day all guns can be upgraded and their appearance changed so just pick the one you know you will enjoy using. Hope that helps. Pheas

@@fletcher737 hiya, you certainly won't be disappointed in this little beast. There is almost no wobble at all, it's probably one of the most stable builds I have seen. Pheas
Hiya, the potentially most expensive way of doing it is using an optical mosfet that would monitor the gears and stop it when a cycle has been completed. I suspect, but don't quote me on it, that mosfet like a merf could also stop it too as it can use active breaking to stop it as soon as the cut off is knocked. Next you could replace the cut off lever and possibly the trigger block with another brand and hope that it cuts it off quick enough when a cycle is completed or finally put a lower rates battery in it that doesn't have the double shot issue. Hope that helps. Pheas
Hiya! You should be fine with it. The mosfet did initially have issues with voltages above 7.4v but appear to have been resolved so you should be all good! Pheas
Are they really? I am surprised at that. I would have thought they would have made them suitable for 11.1v as the american market are so big on them. Pheas

Taiwangun has them in. It includes the tightbore, mosfet and high speed motor and quick change spring. Absolute bargain! Hope that helps! Pheas
Pheas Airsoft i’m looking forward to that. They are cheap wow!
I'm about to order this, will it be OK to use 11.1v nimh batteries or will I have to buy lipo batteries for it
Hiya. I would be careful of anything above a 7.4v lipo as a lot of people are reporting the MOSFET has burnet out with high voltage, some have just burnt out anyways. Hope that helps. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft thanks for your reply, much appreciated
@@Slash250688 you are very welcome. The Double Eagle M904 series is excellent and their MOSFET is based off the titan. Well worth the money. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft just had a quick look at them, they seem quite cheap, are they good build quality for the money.
@@Slash250688 they are brilliant. I've had one already on the channel previously and loved it and the current newest video is also one which I have turned into a DMR. They are outstanding for the money. Pheas
On taiwangun website did you choose the 320 fps option and what bbs are you using in the vid?
Hiya. I chose the 320 fps version. In the videos I always use 0.2g bbs for chronoing, but use 0.25g for the range check / rate of fire check and for normal play in games. Hope that helps. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft Thanks for the response. I notice you've got a northern accent and I'm from west Yorkshire I'm just wondering if you could recommend me any good fields because I'm gonna start airsoft once the lockdowns over
@@tescolemonbleach2359 Hiya. I am from South Yorkshire! There are a few about, some need a bit of travel though. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head! Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft thank you ill be sure to take a look
Does this take M4 magazines?
Hiya yes it does. Just normal Airsoft M4 mags. Pheas
I'm incredibly torn between the G&G GC Predator, this and the Ares Honey Badger.. would you know anything of the 3? Thanks
Pheas
I think you've sold me on this! Would you recommend running 7.4 lipos and hows the receiver/ rail wobble? Im looking at the Umbrella Corporation WRG AR-15 SBR. It's £20 more on taiwan, however I cannot see much difference between the two, even with comparison
@@fletcher737 hiya, you certainly won't be disappointed in this little beast. There is almost no wobble at all, it's probably one of the most stable builds I have seen. As for lipos it's your choice I think, I use 7.4v and upgrade the motor, then it would give you virtually same performance as an 11.1 but on a 7.4v. Hope that helps. Pheas
Have you managed to play with this rifle at all? Im wanting to make the purchase but want more feedback/reviews
Hiya, thanks for the question. I've played with it personally (it's in one of my recent footage videos from Humber Airsoft) and it kicks ass. My mate owns it now and we have put loads of ammo through it and it's still shooting as nice as day one. It has taken some abuse as well with bad weather, dropped and kicked at one point, they are built amazingly well! Can't go wrong with it. We still haven't had need to change or upgrade anything on it as it performs so well. Hope that helps. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft Brilliant, thank you very much
@@ScorchMat You are very welcome!
@@PheasAirsoft what kind of range does this gun put out, I'm just sick of having aeg's drop off at 40m and wondered if this gun is any better than what I have experienced with my past guns. Cheers
@@grassdonut1183 Thanks for the question, I honestly couldn't put a figure on it as I tend not to measure (something I am working on though for future videos when unboxing and reviewing etc.) But when we have used it (and one of my friends has this one) we have never been out ranged by anything other than a sniper rifle. It was going toe to toe with loads of other stuff and seems to out range most things which was really impressive and the accuracy was brilliant too! Out of the box it has been phenomenal!. Hope that helps! Pheas
(uk) hi there i have brought this what batteries would you recommend? and what spring to get it closer to 340 fps
Hiya! I would avoid 11.1v lipos on the stock mosfet as there are a lot of reports of them frying. I would use a 7.4v lipo like this one (will keep it going all day long): www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-2200mah-20c-continuous-discharge-airsoft-split-pack-lipo-battery.html As for the 340fps.. depending on the compression quality in the cylindr something like a guarder sp100 spring should give you around 340 (could be higher or lower depending on your airseals) Hope that helps! Pheas
When it doubles shoots or whatever the correct term is, how do u fix it or stop it from doing that?
Hiya, the potentially most expensive way of doing it is using an optical mosfet that would monitor the gears and stop it when a cycle has been completed. I suspect, but don't quote me on it, that mosfet like a merf could also stop it too as it can use active breaking to stop it as soon as the cut off is knocked. Next you could replace the cut off lever and possibly the trigger block with another brand and hope that it cuts it off quick enough when a cycle is completed or finally put a lower rates battery in it that doesn't have the double shot issue. Hope that helps. Pheas
never get rid of BUIS
Can buy this in Europe??
So I got this gun, and an 11.1v battery is that to much only use semi
Hiya! You should be fine with it. The mosfet did initially have issues with voltages above 7.4v but appear to have been resolved so you should be all good! Pheas
These cyma plat editions microswitch are designed for 7.4v lipo only
Are they really? I am surprised at that. I would have thought they would have made them suitable for 11.1v as the american market are so big on them. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft the double shoot is a double tapping and I haven't owned one but I've bee looking and looking and what I found is that cyma plat series are really equal to 11.1v lipo gearboxes with a 7.4 lipo plus the 11.1v will strip the gears and piston out and possible burn the micro swith itself if using full auto only alot.
Its a high speed gearbox with 13.1 gears, high speed motor and plastic piston with metal teeth.
Is it a real gun?
Hello! Nope its a BB gun. Just fires 6mm plastic balls at other players. Think like paintball but better and cooler.... Like playing COD in real life. Pheas
this or cm16 2.0 by g&g?
Hello! If it was me... this. Much better consistency from this than the G&G stuff. Pheas
Where did you get the battery from
Hiya. The 7?4v is this one www.fatbobs.co.uk/nuprol-2200-mah-74v-lipo-nunchuck-battery.html and the 11.1v is this one urbanairsoftuk.com/product/nuprol-2600mah-11-1v-20c-lipo-nunchuck-type/
Pheas
can you use an 11.1v lipo battery with this gun or should i use an 7.4v lipo only
you can use an 11.1 but the internals might not like it if you don't like to maintain your gearboxes :)
7.4s. 11.1s are like running a v8 engine in a car compared to a 7.4 which is comparable to a v6
Were do I get the battery
So it's impossible to install any grips?
Hiya. You can install normal M4 / AR style pistol grips if you don't like the current one. And if you want a vertical grip mounted on the rail then you need either one that fits using m-lok or use a ris rail and mount on to the rail. Hope that helps! Pheas
I so wanna get one
Good choice! Just dont feed it an 11.1v lipo as the MOSFET will not last long. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft what battery do you recomend ?
Would I be able to run a 9.6 NiMh in this?
Hiya. Yes you will quite happily be able to run a 9.6v in it. Pheas
Will this be ok with a stronger spring for 400 fps?
Hiya, thanks for the question. Mine was downgraded by Taiwan gun, but if you don't request the downgrade they come out of the box at around 400 fps, so they should be absolutely fine for it. Hope that helps. Pheas
@@PheasAirsoft Thanks for the reply!
I never cared for cyma herd legends of how long some of them last befor thay give out and yoy get kac iron sights not bad mag pul moe style grip i like the stock and over all this looks nice a nice m4
How does this gun run on the 9,6v nihm battery?
Thanks for the question. It would be OK, probably close to the performance from the 7.4v lipo that is shown. Hope that hepls.
Pheas Airsoft Thank you for the reply!! I was thinking of buying the CM. 97B. I love their ak's, but i don't trust their M4's. have you experienced any problems with the new model?
@@shanetaylor112 more than welcome. We hammered this and the cm.98 (the dmr type one) and really abused them both on the last time we played and they just took it all in their stride. Handled everything, we could muster, mid caps, low caps, high caps, a drum mag at one point with sustained firing from the drum, dry firing, dropped, kicked (by accident when we dropped it) and they both just laughed off everything and kept going. I did the disassembly after we had used them and they still looked immaculate inside so I would say they are looking very solid options. Hope that helps.
Pheas Airsoft That's sounds like a real endurance test. After Reading that you have giving me more faith in buying their new model. Thank you for your time! Btw your video's are excellent!!👍
What’s the best choice for LiPo in this replica?
I got myself the sr25 one. If I switch the fire selector back and forth between semi and full fast enough it makes a really strange beeping noise. Anyone else encounter this?
I know with soem mosfets that enters programming mode idk about your gun tho

plz someone do a video that cyma (097) vs specna arms edge
Thanks for the suggestion, I will see what money I have after xmas and see if I can get the Specna Arms one in to have a look at.
I recommend the cyma for sure, just use a 7.4 on the cyma cause the mosfet is known to die on an 11.1, but the trigger response is almost the same on either. The specna's quality control has gone to garbage after the first batch.
its mad that this is only £250!
