Kind of depressing to see that rust coming back! Makes me remember why I'm in the south of France :-)

Well Richard basically I am glad to see you are realizing basically how many times you basically say basically and as I believe you are an educated man with a good command of the English language you basically hardly ever need to use the word basically.
Glad to see progress on the work truck. I often use an air line to 'blow out' the flames. you finding scrap pieces and putting them to use is why I never throw 'stuff' away.

We've been waiting for this, brilliant to see it coming together. Really appreciate all the work to revive the old thing.

Tidy work. The only downside of the discovery’s for a works vehicle is they are shit at towing with the high transfer box, I’d consider putting a defender transfer box in if you do much towing. Good video as always Richard.! 🙂👍

The joy of the cobbler's last. Had to use them to hammer the studs in and out of the old football boots at school in the fifties. DIY aged 9. No messing in those days! Thanks for all the posts, great stuff.

Bet the cobblers last is well used.don't think you would stand a chance in hell of picking one up these days.I seem to remember my dear old grandad had one in his little shed along with a hand cranked grinder for sharpening his chisels.

Some more good progress there Richard, although I was a bit concerned the frustration expressed at 15:48 might have escalated from "duck farts" to "foxes arses" but, thankfully, you managed to rein it in. 😉

Good work Richard ! - 'Stick on Wood' - why would you do that ?? - an attempt at style over substance 🤣 - good to see the progress - how is the expansion of the yard coming on ? - you'll have even more space to fill and 'tidy up' then !!!

Richard Land Rover Discoveries people are still scraping them they must be mad these vehicles are going to be classic vehicles very shortly worth serious money I often think of baying some cheap Discovery and putting them in a garage for storage could help my pension pot the current government don't like pensioners

Yep I’ve just stripped a 300tdi down for Defender parts…. My mate wants the body so totally recycled apart from the chassis. But I agree with your comment they are either stripped to keep Defenders on the road or bought and wrecked by off roaders, won’t be many left before long.

Not so keen on your work on your own vehicle. Far less attention to detail compared to when working on a customer's car. All the more annoying when it is God's own vehicle - The Discovery 1!
Still loads better than a lot of the dross on YT.
