Tna should've never hired Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to begin with, and they should have been off doing their own thing instead of trying to competing with WWE and trying to become another WCW. Hogan and Bischoff were two key people behind the death of WCW, and it was probably inevitable that this was never gonna work out for TNA. I'm honestly surprised they haven't gone out of business at this point
Hogan and Bischoff were two key people in the revival, resurgence and popularity of WCW and pro wrestling itself in 96-98 with Hogan turning heel and the nWo. Without them WCW may have died much earlier and we may not even had an attitude era. It's understandable on why TNA thought they would of helped. There was also a lot more factors involved in WCW's death than just storylines and characters. I don't think they get as much credit as they deserve in how much they helped keep WCW alive and make wrestling cool and popular again even if it was for a short period of time. Hogan did that TWICE as well, first in the 80s, then in the late 90s, too many people hate on him when hes one of the main reasons were able to watch wrestling today regardless of his negatives.
@@GrimMeNaCe Agree they made WcW great in the early nWo era. Still, they did destroy TNA that's not even debatable. I was an avid TNA fan at the time, within a month of Hogan and Eric arriving I had stopped watching it altogether. I don't know about best debut, but Randy Savage was treated like the king of the universe in his WWF debut with getting the pick of managers. I can't think of anyone being talked about quite that well. Probably why Hogan did what he did for all those years. Being honest if you watch his early matches, even with folks lower down the card, it's hard to argue with them. He's up, down, and all around giving performances that would work today.
Heck, The Wrestling Classic was basically a showcase ppv for Savage that he honestly should have won. He was booked like a face even though he was a heel

"Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut" Thanks I needed to hear that after work today.😂
The good thing about the fake Razor Ramon and Diesel is if you were to put them in a 90s wrestling video game, you probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.
Who would’ve thought warrior would go into business for himself?
Using Mortal Kombat-esque background music for the Glacier segment was 👌🏻
Even if the Shockmaster's debut went off without any issues, I still have no idea what WCW was going for. Is he a stormtrooper? Can he shoot lightning at his opponents? Will he wrestle with the helmet on, or is he just WCW Tugboat? The whole concept was ridiculous 😅
The Matt Sydal segment having music from Power Move Pro Wrestling was unexpectedly hilarious
I actually liked glacier i mean his debut took a long time, and he was basically a character from Mortal kombat 3, but i still enjoyed and loved the character for what he was.
Thankfully Scott D'amore saved TNA and helped to rebuild their reputation.
@@tayojones9460Wait... TNA is still around? I'm too far removed at this point smh
@@donnelltaylor701dolph ziggler well he using the name of Nic nemeth over there
Hogan and Bischoff were two key people in the revival, resurgence and popularity of WCW and pro wrestling itself in 96-98 with Hogan turning heel and the nWo.

Agree they made WcW great in the early nWo era. Still, they did destroy TNA that's not even debatable. I was an avid TNA fan at the time, within a month of Hogan and Eric arriving I had stopped watching it altogether. The roster was decimated the story lines were trash, they brought that place down so quick...
Glacier might have worked if it came along 2-3 years earlier.
What about kizarny?! His first match looked like he hurt himself flopping on his belly …the crowd turned on him instantly hahahaha
LMAO. That Genesis MK music for Glacier slayed me.
Hi 👋
Great Work 👍
I was curious if you could do a video about Superstars who never wrestled each other.
Sting vs Taker
Sid vs Glenn Jacobs
Giant vs Ron Reiss
Goldberg vs Benoit
Kane vs Kurgeon
Just name a few ....
Bret Hart debuts during starcade 97, He prevents the NWO from interferring in Hogan v Sting, Allowing Sting to win clean.
I normally do not correct people in videos but you got a major fact wrong at 23:32. Specifically being that yes there is a lot more choice, but there is only one that matters, and that is Wrestling Bios.
Now I know who the office kiss ass is
I did like that after Sydal's debut, there was a joke on Being The Elite about Michael Nakazawa having put baby oil on the turnbuckle before the match. I appreciate a company that can take things in stride and poke a bit of fun at themselves when stuff goes wrong.
The MK music during Glacier is pretty funny.
There's no question that Seven was an amazing athlete.
Nathan Jones, Heidenreich, Mordecai, Último Dragón (WWE debut) and Sean O'Haire come to mind.
The Emma/Emmalina thing was very weird.
You need to include a double dose of MMA duds in part 2: Tito Ortiz in TNA and Cain Velazquez in WWE.
Glacier and Karrion Kross the Vince version were both such a dumpster fire
I don't know about best debut, but Randy Savage was treated like the king of the universe in his WWF debut with getting the pick of managers. I can't think of anyone being talked about quite that well. Probably why Hogan did what he did for all those years. Being honest if you watch his early matches, even with folks lower down the card, it's hard to argue with them. He's up, down, and all around giving performances that would work today.
Heck, The Wrestling Classic was basically a showcase ppv for Savage that he honestly should have won. He was booked like a face even though he was a heel
