Fidèle à Brigitte Massin et à son si remarquable "Schubert/Biographie/Histoire de l'œuvre", j'y apprends que c'est la 1ère sonate que Schubert a terminée (pas de final dans les 2 de 1815), que ce nombre insolite de 5 mouvements est probablement dû au fait qu'il n'était pas satisfait du 1er scherzo ,pourtant intéressant (quoi qu'il en soit Wilhelm Kempff nous offre les 2-tant mieux).C'est printanier,primesautier, plein de charme...
Verro. Io Kempff lo ricordo quando acquistai un cofanetto delle sonate integrali per pianoforte di Beethoven. Penso che la più bella e significativa esecuzione sia senz'altro l'Opera 90 che alla fine scelsi per il mio diploma. Una vera e propria memorabile lezione seppur semplicemente "discografica".
Kempff's got the perfect sound for this kind of piano music (early Schubert's manner but already queer-shaped and very rich and sometimes sad-tempered mind... 🤔 So beautiful and thorough keyboard music)

Although may be better performances of some individual sonatas (for example, Sviatoslav Richter in the Unfinished F minor), this complete set is unlikely ever to be surpassed. The late, great Wilhelm Kempff seems perfectly attuned to the music of Franz Schubert, even more so than to that of Ludwig van Beethoven for which he is better known.
one of the most achingly beautiful and profound pieces of music ever...i tried my best not to cry while writing and listening to this at the same time just now. it moves me like no other music! im glad youre feeling it in Korea bro. God bless you, from NYC.
השחרזו בהתחלה צריכים להיות ארוכים יותר. ונגמר בהכתרה וחיבוק אב ואם ונישוק אדמת ירושלים וספרי תורה ותקיעת שופר בירושלים ובית המקדש בשתי דקות האחרונות איטית ומרגשת עם מוסיקה שונה לחלוטין. עם 4 נגיעות בסיום. עם הכתרה בפסנתר. השחרזו כ14:55 צריך להיות ארוך יותר בהרבה.

Kempff è uno dei pianisti preferiti. Il suo Schubert è semplicemente bellissimo!!!!
