I think mapex drums are underrated and that kit sounds great!

I used to have a Pro M kit and it sounded fantastic. Other drummers told me they were cheapos with no resale value. I gigged and recorded them for years and still sold them for more than half the price I got them at. The only thing I wasn't really keen on was the snare drum, but the 13 16 18 toms were really nice sounding and the 24 bass drum was a cannon.

That is so pretty I love that drum set
I loved my Mars crossover when I had it. I shot several videos on it with the stock heads they do sound amazing! Had they not discontinued it, I would re buy it as the same 1 up 2 down config, or maybe even get one of the fusion kits with a 20" kick. Sad they discontinued this line, Now I believe the mars line is called Venus or something planet oriented lol

Do you think sonic clear bearing edges, are just bearing edges and not really anything anybody hasnt figured out before or done before, or do you buy into the magic?

That is certainly a lot for the money. Quality seems like it might be very good as well.
Do you prefer a snare with a little more sustain or one that decays rather quickly ?
