The first time I legitimately tried a fluke, I caught two fish in a highly pressured lake in the middle of summer. It's a rig that absolutely works.

Mostly small bass in the pond by my house, but use a weighless Zoom Fluke Jr & offset hook with BFS rig and light line. They can't resist it.

I did pretty much the same them I didn't use them for a long time. Now I use them very regularly. They're a simple but a great lure.

The bearded muskateers. A fluke is always fun to fish. I caught a nice 5 pounder last weekend in very cold water here in South Africa on a watermellon red fluke.
2008 was the big flood in Iowa plus the F-5 tornado that went through Parkersburg.
If you like the cleanup craw, try the bronco bug. It’s by far one of my baits I carry with me now. I really like the hinge design and I feel like it generates more bites. I likes the craw but I love the bug for flipping

That's the kind if stuff I fish often. I fish a weightless t rigged Billy goatz by zman, a stick worm (dinger or senko generally) and a frog. Honestly most that stuff wasn't as thick as I fish lol. I'm lost when I'm not fishing spots like that I have found out recently 😂. Got use to one type of condition and now I'm rusty fishing other stuff 😂
The 4" fluke was my go to lure last year. Caught me a bunch of bass.
Wet wipes are a must for sharts! Always carry them sir
zoom fluke jr in smoked shad or a tennessee shad on a three ought is my go to. caught fish coast to coast using that.
Question for everyone here and Debo if you see this feel free to let me know what you prefer. When you guys fish a Texas rig do you use a stopper for your weight to keep it close to the hook? Also do you put a bead under the weight? Personally I always put a bead under the weight but I’ve been flip flopping on using a stopper for the passed couple years.
Me personally if im using a texas rig im using a stopper. If im not using a stopper im just going Carolina rig. If i do use a bead its on a free rig and i use clear ones cuz i feel like i scare the fish away when if they can see it.

The fluke is my all time second favorite bait right behind the swim jig.
The fluke has been extremely productive for me for a couple years now. Caught a six pounder on one last year.
The fluke is definitely has become my favorite bait. I really really like the H2O flukes from academy. And I think it's better to run a fluke on a Chatterbait then any swimbait or craw. the fluke doesn't mess up the action of the Chatterbait as bad as a craw or a swimbait
Flukes are great- less boring/more active than a senko. My 9 year old son has been doing great with a green pumpkin zoom fluke this year

In my area water level is still very high , so most shore fishing is no good , since the water level have come pass the tree line..
And it’s not dead tree line at 5:44 either , still green bush on the ground and lots of green leaves on the tree .

A day after I commented, I had a tick fall off my leg while driving. Nearly crashed my truck.
I have had terrible luck with a leader knot..so I have usually just been using straight 10lbs braid on my spinning setup
Alberto knot has worked for me. The little tick when it goes thru the guides bugs me, tho.

What size and type of hook are you using with the fluke and the clean up craw?
4/0 worm hook on the fluke. Normally, I use an ewg but didn't have them on me, they were in my truck. Craw was a trokar v flipping hook. 4/0
Are you rigging the fluke weightless or using a weighted hook?

I told myself I am done buying combos for the year... well that is going to be a hard fail. that Intenza looks sweet! Iam the same way with my combos little flair as possible its an OCD thing if it has any amount of color the reel and line have to match. if its all black then its easier.

What lb braid do you have on your revo spin reel? I have 15lb suffix braid but struggle to get distance.
15lb pline endurx braid. The power pro super slick is good too.

I started with a round bend worm hook. I prefer an ewg 4/0

Man, get a Rogue phone holder. It clips to your pfd and has an elastic/rubber strap that goes on the phone. Worth every penny!
Zoom fluke, paddle tail, horny toad, and a rubber worm... if you got 2 colors of each you're set for life
