- We got 1BC back from her extensive annual inspection and repairs at TAS!! This was a fun Twin Cessna formation flight from Defiance, Ohio (DFI) back home to Chicago Aurora Airport (ARR). Not every day you see a formation of Twin's flying through the class Bravo airspace. :)

Lets give a big shout out to all the great A&P mechanics out here that keep these awesome machines flying. Good job TAS !
wonder how many drill bitts those guys go thru , adding those plates to the inside of the gear comp looked like a lot of time
I'm sure that TAS is designing their new ski chalet in the Swiss Alps. It's guys like this that make it happen. More power to TAS! Safety is number one, and a good pilot should be prepared to pay alot of money to keep his bird safe and airworthy.
That drone shot of your takeoff was amazing. You rock. Best aviation channel!
I’m surprised they let a drone in the airspace like that.
Drones can get clearance to fly that in certain circumstances. I'm a 107 very drone pilot. Wish I was the one on this one
Kevin, Glad to see 1BC back home. Looking forward to you next release.
@@billbrowning3021 They don’t. Against FAA regulations. Hope they don’t get caught.
Thank you Ron...glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the nice compliment!!
@David Warrender, obviously I wasn't flying the drone but I thought you could fly drones in Class G?
The drone shots and the shots from the other Cessna shows one beautiful looking 310.
Really great to have dependable people working on the bird, gives one a sense of comfort. Your repair narrator should have his own channel to show process
of repairs, would be very interesting. Happy flying Kevin. Dave
No question this is the best aviation channel on the Tube. The scenery is even better with Jamie in the copilot seat. Haven’t seen her in a while, time to get her back in 771BC for an adventure.
Hope to see you at APA.
Glad you think so Seth! My beautiful bride will be back very soon. I'm starting to edit our Sun n Fun trip that we took down to FL. We had a blast but she REALLY doesn't like flying into those big events. Haven't got that far in the editing but I think she shed a few tears...
@@310Pilot Do you mind sharing what the inspection and all the repairs cost? I’m trying to get a realistic picture of what ownership looks like and I know you don’t cut corners and do everything the right way. Thanks, blue skies.
You did an excellent job of not smirking each time you offered to throttle back !
Ha ha...glad you noticed Scott! Not everyday you get a chance to jab your buddy with a sweet Cessna 340 about having to slow down for him. :)
App for that! HAHA!!
This is 340 John,, it was humiliating, not that I like to compete w Kevin Lol
Flying formation with a buddy was always a rare treat, ferried a pair of Piper 400 brave's from TX to FL back in the 80's, flew formation most of the way, one of the best times flying I ever had.
Kevin, Another great video especially the formation shots of yours and John's twin Cessna. AND, great job by TAS for their great maintenance creating a monster of a C310Q. Until next time, be well and stay safe. RL
Glad you enjoyed it RL! I'm lucky to have such a meticulous shop to take care of her and keep us safe.
Great speed improvement! When you did your walk around before departure, you must have missed the JATO's that TAS added! 😁🛩️❤️😷
Sure felt like it after departure!
SUPER Cool with the Drone on takeoff, and the formation is also super cool. Thanks.
Loved our 310R and had more fun in that airplane than any other twin!
Know you are thrilled to get 1BC back home and to see the performance improvement. The TAS videos were well done to show their level of inspection detail and repairs. Clearly experts with the twin Cessnas. Never imagined all that paperwork that documented all the inspection findings and repairs. You must have a separate filing cabinet for all that. Looking forward to your Sun N' Fun trip and to see Jaimie back in the right seat. Be Well.
What a great video when he fly up along side you and the arial shots when he went underneath you. I watched it over and over again. In my years of flying I never experienced that 😞
Glad to see that silver bird back in the sky.
Glad to have her back in the sky Ed!!
You have an eagle eye..
John has a great sense of humor! I keep thinking about that bent pin in the front gear, and some of those short-ish RW's in the NE ya'll went to. 8( TAS did a great job finding that and keeping ya'll safe!! Good on them!! 8) JMHO.. --gary
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. You're gonna make a TAS customer out of me and I'm in San Diego.
Congratulations on your 200K
Great in-air shots. Bravo Charlie looks fantastic in flight.
That’s awesome work at TAS. Getting increased airspeed and sundry of other issues fixed has to make you smile.
...the Siver Streak..is back again..thanks for sharing guys..another great video..
The "drone" shots of your take off were fantastic! A completely new and different view. Great video!
Welcome home😊1BC flys as good as she looks....beautiful...fly safe
Hi Kevin, Been watching your flights for the last year. My grandfather was a stunt pilot and flew in the service. He said what makes a good pilot is a excellent navigator. I think you are both. Waiting for your next flight. Be safe!
The scenery looks incredible! These shots are all postcard worthy!
Finally got to see a 310 in person. Looks much smaller than I expected.
Thank John for us. That was some GREAT footage. 1BC looks fantastic. Continued safe travels.
He's a great friend to have! Glad you enjoyed it Tony. :)
That formation and those shots were epic! Love it!
Spectacular video. Absolutely one of your best. From out of the clear blue of the Midwestern sky comes 1BC.
love the runway rollout video
Looked like a super fun flight! Had fun watching it!
Glad 1BC is top notch! TAS are amazing!
Great landing and congratulations on the great maintenance by TAS. Happy landings!!
That's was perty cool to watch . The two of you flying together on your way back. Thanks John love to watch you all . great video.
Outstanding. Safer and faster. The only negative is missing Jamie😇. Congratulations Kevin. Great series on the inspection and flights. Great friend John, too. Blessings
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing your plane with us.
Impressive video of the two of you flying in formation. Thanks for the great belly shots from the 340’s view!
Very, very special video, filming and conversation, information was very cool.
PS didn’t realize how much bigger the 340 is until I saw that drone shot of you two on the taxi to leave. 😯
One of your bests! What a great drone and inflight shots of these sleek twin Cessna's. Thanks for sharing and good to know your ride is not only faster but also safer than it was yesterday.
You are one very happy guy by the looks of it. I guess this means more adventures are coming. Thanks mate
1BC is working better than ever. Really looking forward to more videos. 😊
Welcome home, Kevin. Very good series on your annual and trips to/from. Good stuff!
Excellent video Kevin with a nice shout out in the air to you and a great welcome home from ground. You all are the best aviation channel out there. Thank you for the great vids and the formation of the Twin's was awesome.
Very cool Kevin... nice to see formation... and the improved performance is awesome...
Unreal improvement in airspeed. Congratulations on getting her back. Got to feel good.
Plane looks great and some great pics of 1BC. Be safe. Will be watching.
Glad you got your girl back! Fair skies and following winds!
Hello again, fantastic on your annual inspection and looking forward to your next flight ❤️
That’s a great feeling knowing your back up to where it was meant to be. I had a truck that was really running bad. Gas mileage was horrible and just felt sluggish. The shop found that my e brake cable was bound up and was slightly engaged the whole time! Like walking with ankle weights then taking them off.
Great to see 1BC back and flying. Awesome drone footage of the takeoff!!!!!!!
Thanks for making my day, this flight really cheered me up, good to see BC doing so well thanks from the UK,
Awesome Kevin! TAS seems to really know their stuff. 1BC is faster and much safer now. Waiting for the next adventure. Thanks for sharing and a big shout out to your bud for the ride to get her.
What some great surprises from the annual. Welcome back.
Great video with great pictures. Stay safe and keep them coming. 👍🏼🇨🇦
Awesome , enjoyable flight , Thanks 310
Kevin, I would love in some future video to see the pre-flight check list and run up.
Great job by TAS.
Great to hear TAS did a good job! Love the tandem flight back home! Thanks for bringing us along!
My favorite channel on y tube !
Thank you Kevin...that's really saying something. :)
Welcome home Kevin and 1 bee cee as well!
That is all good news to hear about the bird!
Looking forward to your next episode next week!!
Happy for you Kevin. Nice and tight and fast!!
Great pics of the 2 twins in flight!! Congrats on the successful annual!
Welcome back! (To your plane) It is amazing what a Twin Cessna centric shop can do for your bird. Tony and company do amazing work. Thanks for sharing it really helps inspire the flying community.
Can't wait to see your analysis on the new air speed capabilities. This to me really highlights that using top-notch professionals are always the best investment. Kudos to TAS. Flight of two twin Cessna as was amazing. Take care. Go Dawgs.
Dang...1BC is now the silver bullet!!! Loved the formation flying and the great pics of that purty plane....
Glad you enjoyed it Cappy...she is fast now. :)
Great shots with the drone! Always nice to pick up knots !!
That was awesome Kev watching him fly off your right and in formation
Glad she's better for you Kevin....you and Jamie have fun in florida
That was a fun flight, Kevin! TAS did a good job on your annual, definitely experts on twin Cessnas. The video reminded me of a flight I made in my 310C a few years ago, when I caught up to my buddy in his V35A-TC Bonanza throttled back a few inches, and flew alongside him for a while, but then throttled back up to normal cruise and left him behind (at 9,500'). I didn't have a camera at hand, so missed a pic of a perfect reflection of his Bonanza in the glass of my manifold pressure guage. It is surprising how fast a 310 in proper rig is, I typically true 180-185 knots on 20-22 GPH anywhere between 8,000 and 12,000' at 20"/2300. I usually run at that power setting, but occasionally cruise at 2450/24" or max mp, but the fuel flow goes up a lot. I was running a bit late to meet up with our breakfast club flight once and ran at that setting and my friend riding eith me excitedly exclaimed that he had never seen an airspeed indicator read that high! There is no doubt that 310s are a blast to fly. lloking forward ro seeing more of your videos.
Now that was just an awesome video. You can hear that thing running a lot better than before and I thought it was pretty cool that he just about couldn't catch up with you. That was an excellent video keep them coming have a great day and stay safe! I'll tell you what I'd like to see I'd like to see some of your bloopers those things you're always pretty cool.
Videos just keep getting better and better. Thanks again.
First time replying , but you guys shoot great video. You make flying look so easy. I hope to watch more of your flight videos. Thanks again 177 BC.
What a nice video again. And the t/o shot was amazing, just like the a/air shots of the 340 and reverse of your 310 in air...thanks again.
Sounds like TSA did a fantastic job. Great video Kevin also like the drone footage !! Can’t wait for the sun- fun video. 😎
Working on editing it now Doug! It was a blast. :) Glad you enjoyed it.
1BC looking great. Congrats on your 200K subs. Very cool tandem flight.
So good you got 1BC back. Looking forward to future videos!
Going to be a great summer watching you fly 1BC around the country!
Wonderful to see1BC gracing the skies of Illinois again. She's a fast bird now after fixing all the issues. A super job by TAS. You won't know yourself with a whole lot of new numbers to learn. Awesome air to air footage with John's 340 (which is now wishing for some of the same "TAS tender twin treatment"
You, Jaime and 1BC are my favourite YT channel! :)
Noticed at 16:30, the twin gauge right above the copilots wheel's shaft had the right side gauge varying wildly. I think you've pointed to it before as the vacuum gauge.
Wonderful vlog, love all the ground transmissions. I still retain a desire to get my pilot's license, and you're HELPING! ;) Thanks!
I love how informational your videos are please keep them coming
kevin what an awesome flight back home was cooool with your friend playing tag along glad u got your cessna fixed up and maintanenced and ready to fly again cant wait for u and jaime to go to sun and fun loooks coool
👏👏👏 happy she’s back home with y’all
Kev, I'm glad to see 1BC back in action!! Don't sweat that landing. The jolt knocked off all the rust!! Thank you for making awesome videos and being a precise pilot! Hopefully I will see ya at the 2021 ACCA!
Great to see another video! Sounds like TAS did an awesome job! The rigging fix and the loss of weight played a big part in your performance gain! Should amount to fuel savings on future flights!!
I totally agree TAS is great shop, there lot's of shops like that and I had the privilege to work and retire from one, that airspeed was fantastic we've found a few like that and the pilot never noticed anything until we rigged it.
Awesomeness x9... ';-) Thanks Kevin for posting all of the ins and outs of an extensive complex twin annual!
Another great video Kevin.. Hot Rod is right.... she's about a mover... can't wait till the next one. Safe flying!!!!
Great video. Good to see her back in the sky!
the drone perspectives were fun! 1BC looks great!
Just imagine Kevin. Had you made that landing with the old knuckle bolt, the nose gear may have collapsed.
Keep rocking the content.
Ha ha...very possible!
Glad your happy with your hot rod. See you soon. Love ya
Awesome shots of the two Cessna's in flight...
Beautiful plane. I sure miss my R. Thanks for the video. I'm living vicarious.
Very cool! Enjoyed that throughly! Hey, maybe next time, THREE!!!
It must feel great to know your airplane was brought up to speed by such a great shop. What terrific peace of mind.
Absolutely! Peace of mind up there is important. If John wasn't available I was thinking I might have to reach out to you for a ride. Would have had to change the title though. :)
@@310Pilot Any time you need a ride, just let me know. My 182 is getting an engine and avionics upgrade, but I have a 2016 Cirrus I can use any time.
Welcome home 1BC, it was nice of TAS to supercharge her on the fly ;) That was such a fun flight, loved every minute with such awesome footage with your buddy!
Kevin, Great job on the video. Must be a good feeling to have the plane back. Mine has been gone for an avionics up grade for a few weeks so hopefully I'll know the feeling soon. Thank you for all the work you guys put into these videos. Good luck on all future adventures.
Another fun video!! Love watching and learning from these.
Welcome back. Hope you enjoyed Sun & Fun. Another great video.
Kevin I really loved the drone shots, and the footage from your buddy, great pics, had to make you proud! Best to Jamie, been missing her on the vids! Cheers from Oklahoma
Sweet to have 1BC back in the air!
@310pilot, you flew right over my dad's house in Auburn. Glad you got 1bc back.
What an absolutey beautiful airplane..!! And you all take such great care of her..!! Awesome piloting skills by the way..!!
In flight from John of 1BC was outstanding! Glad you have her safe and home, sounds like she is a much happier airplane in all respects after that trip to TAS.
