The Lexicon Of Love album is such a phenomenal album. Every track is pure classic. All of My heart, Poison Arrow, Look Of Love, Many Happy Returns, Show Me, Tears Are Not Enough, Valentine's Day, Date Stamp, 4ever 2gether.....every song is CLASSIC!
It still is, and always will be my favorite ABC song. "Your lipstick and your lip gloss seals my fate". I still remember the young lady I was with at the time. "Great 80's memories"
^^^ So, that's the "Kajagoogoo" MAN (poof) in the pleated leather skirt ? I thought (initially) it was Lucy Shaw (Ex-Squeeze) till I saw it was "A MAN" ( or perhaps , a "pro-noun" ? ) I'm too old for all this 'cross-dressing' $hit
It's not really underrated at all. NME certified this album as one of the best 100 albums in 20th Century. Four of the singles went to the charts since the B------ (The group personally I don't like). but I like ABC
If this was recorded in 2004, as the notes state, then Martin Fry was about 46 years old. According to Wikipedia, he's 66 now. I thought he was older. Regardless, his voice sounds fantastic during this concert. What a great songwriter, singer, and performer.
Respect... for this underrated Pop-Song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What an incredible live performance, Martin Fry is outstanding here, his vocals are on point. ABC in my own opinion are such an underrated band, they deserved so much more credit than what they gained. Total respect to a band that have stood the test of time. I salute you. 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏
I bought The Lexicon Of Love back in 1982. It's an amazing album. There isn't a duff track or filler on it. If you've never heard it, download it today. You won't be disappointed.
Tracy Graham and Martin Fry, eternal voices of the 80's !
It’s criminal that ABC and this album in particular aren’t revered as much as they should be. Incredible in every way.
I revere it and despite all of the great music that has come since and all of the genres that I’ve been into, the Lexicon Of Love is way up there.
It's revered by me.😊
I thought it was a VERY highly rated album - there isn't a bad track on it.
LOL one of the best imo ever
Honestly.....not many songs I consider perfect. To me, this song is perfection.
And an album that still makes me happy after 42 years
Saw them do the whole album in Nottingham last year with a full orchestra..brilliant.
@@robertchrichI am envious!
Martin Fry, a proper old school singer, not many can sing with the feel he has anymore. Great tone, pitch and dynamics.
And David Palmer on drums.
Noice.
Tony Hadley
i reckon only Amy Winehouse got close.......
He's def got some James Brown in him. awesome.
Sir Tom Jones STILL belts it out!
One of the rare albums where every track is brilliant. Trevor horn was on fire in the 80s
Still a great voice after all these years, unmistakable sound and talent.
20 years ago Baz, don't forget. Agree

Jesus - it’s still SO good - what a song. I’m old now, but this makes me feel so young
Fry's voice was still amazing!!
Is still amazing. I saw him 8 months ago and he sounded fantastic.
Every time I hear this I’m back in the 80’s “spilling up in silk and coffee lace..” awesome! 👏👏👏👏👏
What a line…
Still gets me!!!
Nick Beggs and Tracey Graham bring so much to the table to enhance the performance.
It still is, and always will be my favorite ABC song.
"Your lipstick and your lip gloss seals my fate".
I still remember the young lady I was with at the time.
"Great 80's memories"
Don't we all. Good times and great music. We had the best. My son envies me as nothing today hasn't been heard before.
Oh, man. What a treat. Absolutely adored this band.
Great song..great album...released the year we got married...her lipstick and lip gloss sealed my fate ..still together...😊
Still such a very strong voice, as good today as it was when the first sung.

Pase mi adolescencia escuchando a ABC , simplemente sensacionales , singulares , profesionales y originales , de lo mejor del Pop britanico .
Still an absolute masterpiece 😊
Long live the 80s!!!!!!!
Takes me back to the 80's. ABC has not gotten the love and appreciation of its era. What a beautiful song!!
Still holds up after all these years 😊
Nick Beggs on bass- brilliant.
That voice!!
what a vocal. whole thing is brilliant
For me, not only ABC's best-ever record, but also the song from the 1980's. Magnificent.
Martin still has a great voice. One of the best albums I ever bought.
I remember the album coming out in 1982,I was 19 years old
I'm 18
Cry every time I hear it
What a gorgeous production to do this beautiful song justice
I always think the falling arpeggios from 3:55 sound like raindrops trickling down a window.
By far their best tune. Not as revered as Look of love/Poison arrow, but I think it's a masterpiece ❤
What a fantastic group they are. Martin's vocals are as good as ever, so entertaining .
Thanks for the music Martin, those 3 classics off the first album will be played on the radio until the end of time.
80s music will always live on..the vocals..the music..a generation that always smiled and enjoyed life..forever young..❤ from ireland

Came across these songs by accident 20 years later brilliant performances all around. That must have been some night to b3 there.
What an incredible live performance, Martin Fry is outstanding here, his vocals are on point.
ABC in my own opinion are such an underrated band, they deserved so much more credit than what they gained.
Total respect to a band that have stood the test of time.
