Why ‘the religious hippie?’
It was a nickname my friends gave me when I was in highschool because I dressed like a hippie and was a ‘wild child’, when I came back into my faith they thought ‘the religious hippie’ was now a more appropriate nickname and it stuck!

Continued prayers for your dad. I wanted to give an update on my friends mom. God is truly amazing. As someone who saw her lying in the hospital bed on life support just a day prior it’s almost hard to believe. Who am I to doubt God though? This is a post from her daughter off of Facebook.
“Hi all and thank you for your patience in updates on my mom.
On Friday about 5 minutes before heading to the OR, my mom showed cognitive improvement. She began responding to commands and breathing above the ventilator. The doctors have no medical explanation to her sudden improvement.
At this point, she is breathing on her own and responding to commands on her right side, most notably head shakes, hand squeezes, and thumbs ups. However, she still cannot swallow so she has difficulty keeping her airway clear. Today we stepped down from the NCCU (neurological critical care unit) to the PCU in OLOL.
I am so thankful for the miracle that is this extra time with my mom no matter how long it will be. The support and love my sister and I have experienced is overwhelming.”

I join you in this novena and will do so every day. In the Gospel Jesus said that if at least two people agreed on earth to ask God for anything with prayer, this thing would be granted in Heaven...
